The Battle for Bikini Bottom you played as a kid was just the handheld version. The console version is a certified classic, a 3D platformer to rival Mario Sunshine or Sonic Adventure. They remastered it for Switch, and you absolutely have to play it.

Fun fact about me: the barbie conga line actually happened to me but it was a part of a play and it was supposed to be this eerie dance segment where I'm trying to get out of the store but they dont want me to. One game I remember playing, I wouldn't say it was strange, but it always stuck out to me, was "Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity" for the PlayStation 2. I first played back in 2012, 10 years ago. This was a game I had never heard of prior, but it became one of my favorites. I went in completely blind knowing next to nothing about the game, or the series it's based on. My reintroduction to "Code Lyoko" started with this game. I eventually found it on Nintendo Wii 7 years later, even though I didn't play that until the following year. I was watching through the series at the same time, so I went in more knowledgeable then before. (Trust me, it is a good game, and I would recommend it to anyone who likes "Code Lyoko." The series itself is good too, would recommend that as well to anyone who hasn't seen it. Don't ask me about "Code Lyoko: Evolution" because I haven't finished that yet. Even though it has been 2 years since I finished the original.)

I love that you have the same issue with connect 4 that i do. When i try to force myself to focus and try to anticipate what the other player is going to do i end up losing any strategy or ability to figure out where my pieces are and still miss everything. I suck at connect 4 but its still fun to play with friends!

I had the Blossom one and god. God. At some point I'd repressed all my bad memories of that game and replaced them with "it was cool and I got to play as Blossom who is my favorite", but then you start talking about the mechanics Slippery controls. Impossible to collect collectables. Huge levels with hard-to-find objectives. It all came back to me. At least Bubbles starts in a nice park; as Blossom you first have to claw your way out of Utonium's lab, then slog through a subway, and only then do you get a glimpse of light through your own park level (unless the also dark city level came before the park, idr) And yet, I still probably genuinely had fun because I'm pretty sure I got to the end of the game once. I do remember climbing up Mojo Jojo's hideout and fighting him. Idk if I ever beat him but now I want to play again

On my ipad 1, I had (and some of these still have) a lot of games. Angry Birds Classic Free, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio HD Free, Need For Speed Most Wanted 2012, Asphalt 6 Adrenaline, Asphalt 7 Heat, Train Crisis, Pac Man, Trainyard Express, Sky Gamblers Rise of Glory, Minecraft (Pocket Edition in Alpha or Beta Version), Dubble (a ball shooter game that’s still on the App Store and has a catchy theme song), a CARS 2 game that I forgot the name of, Pocket Frogs, Cut the Rope, Bubble Pop (a ball shooter with a pink bunny in it and the theme song sounds like it uses a guitar), the Cartoon Network App, Fruit Ninja HD (Not the full version), and finally this one game where you tap on balls of different colors (red, yellow, green, blue, purple, and white) and when you tap on ball groups of 2 or more twice, a little poof sound plays, and when you either can’t tap anymore balls when they’re touching or the board is clear, there would be sounds like a ball bouncing, angelic singing, or sparkling sounds God, where did the App Store and mobile games go wrong?

I was really glad when they fixed the screen brightness issue by adding the back-light in the GBA SP (this comes from someone who has played portable games since the OG GB). PS: That Spongebob animation was really good. It almost felt like straight out from the show. Cool!

5:28 Bruh, I wasn't super girly as a kid and Barbie Secret Agent was the very first video game I ever got with my first video game system (a GBA SP) for my 10th birthday (2004). I LOVED it like hell as a kid. Also omg remembering Battle for Bikini Bottom. 😂😂

...Well, there's no rule saying that I can't watch another Jaiden video in the same week. As a young Mack in the late 90s, I played my share of odd one-off games. Many of them were simple NES packs in some of those bootleg collections. I also dabbled a bit with some PlayStation stuff in 2001, 2002. One game that stands out to me is Balloon Fight. This is an _early_ NES game that played simple. You use a balloon fighter to pop the balloons of enemy bird creatures. It isn't all that deep, but managed to keep my attention as a fourth-grader with autism. I still like coming back to it occasionally on my Wii U and Switch. These days, however, I almost exclusively play Mario games, with the occasional Kirby, PokéPark, Sonic, and Smash. You can say that Mario is a special interest of mine. All right! I'm digging these videos of yours, Jaiden. Why don't I do the honor of subscribing to you. I can watch more of these entertaining adventures and, uh, whatever else you got cooking up.

I must say, I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY with how fun yet frustating it is to play nostalgic games. Way back when, I would play Driver 2 on the PS2. It was actually a PS1 game, but backwards compatibility. I think a year or two ago, I got my dad's PS2 and decided to play some Driver 2 on it.. and Wow. I remembered the graphics and everything being mind boggling! ...I was wrong! I needed to look up how to get the joysticks to even work, because you needed to like.. Press button combinations. Great game

I remember playing a lot of PC games as a kid, mostly Humongous Entertainment titles like Freddi Fish and Blue's Clues. But I also had copies of Glover, Toy Story 2, 102 Dalmatians, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX, and Zapper, so it wasn't all educational games. XD

As a kid I never finished any game I played. Every time I played the game I would restart. I don’t think I understood you could continue on from where you last were. Nowadays I’m the kind of person who never rewarded movies or tv shows because I find it boring but as a kid I had endless fun replaying the first level of a game for the 100th time. Honestly, I don’t think I actually really remembered what happened in the games so when I restarted it was basically like I was playing for the first time again.
