My theory as to why people are interested in these kinds of images is dreams. Seeing images like in this video gives people a weird sense of deja vu because they have dreamt up a location like that before. People are constantly inventing new locations when they're dreaming. That's my theory, anyway.
@@ShaakTisElectricKoolAid my theory is that normal crowded places without anyone gives a weird sense of paranoia to people. “Where did everyone go? Why did they leave? Is there anyone still here? If so, are they watching me?”
It's...odd. You feel like you've been here. It doesn't matter where, but something about is scarily familiar. Maybe that's why it's so...almost disturbing, in a way. Despite this, you can't recall when or where you've seen this before. You just know that you have, at some point. Maybe you never did. Yet, there's no way to know. It's empty. Where is everyone? People are supposed to be here. Right? It looks like it. Where did everyone go? Where did YOU go? You don't even know where you are. ... This...place is familiar. You can't remember where from though. ... Didn't we already go through this? Probably. ... You can't remember. This place, whatever it is, is unlike a real place. It almost feels like...just...a burning memory.
@@nolongerinuse6780 sorry for such a late comment, but I think they were referring to that song, and knew they were different songs. Idk tho, thats just what I think. Also sorry if this came off as rude.
this is the feel that the backrooms was supposed to have. before it went mainstream and became “I FOUND SONIC AND AMONG US IN LEVEL 383073 OF THE BACKROOMS AT 3 AM!!!”
2:07 My parents got divorced when I was little and my mom didnt really have alot of money afterwards. We moved into this old, cruddy house that was always kinda dirty. I was bullied really badly in school and i was just really sad. The view from my window looked exactly like this picture. It just makes me think how hard my mom worked for me and my sister. She always made the best out of bad situations
0:24 real talk this one almost took my breath away. It looks exactly like a Goodwill I’d always go to with my mom as a kid after my afternoon piano lessons. Since it was always late afternoon the sky also would typically look like it does in the image. god this is weird
Without the music, it's kind of soothing and nostalgic. With the music, it's like a nightmare where the only scare is that its familiar but you've never been there. It's the over exposed lighting partnered with the out of place trumpets that really freak me out.
liminal spaces haven't scared me this much until today. 0:47 is literally, I've been there. 1:02 I've been there... the people, the darkness. It scares me. 1:16 and the next image just broke me. what? I've literally been there. I''m not gonna stop watching bye
0:47 Same exactly layout as my high school assembly room. It’s just slightly off, the wallpapers, colours and light placement is just off. Besides that it’s eerily similar...
i was at a hospital yesterday. the hallways were dark and empty, the only source of light was the sign above the door to a room i was supposed to be in. i paced around the place for a while, it always felt like there was something breathing down my back. i decided to go all in and lean against a wall upclose to a door. i saw one barricaded with a deteriorated couch. i sat next to it on one of the chairs. it was comfortably uncomfortable, so i got up and walked a bit. i sang a song to myself a couple of times, and when i finished i ran straight back to my seat. right then my parents walked out. it kinda introduced me to a new trigger, so that's cool i guess?
2:31 When i was younger I've been to a place like this and there was a 3 employees and the store was gonna be condemned for some reason but I'm never gonna forget what I saw in there. (A Hammer on one of the furniture)
1:17 - 1:24 I know that place. I once was having a dream about something I don’t remember about, But that specific setting was seen there. Once I saw this, I didn’t know what to say because I didn’t think I would see something from one of my memories.
I may be late. But when I was a kid I used to visit Spain a lot, cuz I have family there. A lot of the images here triggered memories that I had forgotten because they were unnecesary places to remember, like, the place on the airport where you pick up all your baggage and things, from that rotating machine (Idk its name, ok) Why? Why I remember'd something so simple like that, but I just want to go back there... even if that day I wasn't doing anything memorable
0:20 Looks like one of my cousin's old room in the basement 0:36 Reminds me of the Target food court 0:52 I dreamed about a similar place to this. My teacher assigned me to do construction for some reason and this was similar to the place I passed through.
Alright so here's my theory to this. I'm not a phsycology Magor or anything like this I just came up with it. The reason why I think these look so familiar is that we barely ever see any shops, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets schools ect empty and alone. So this may seem familiar because your brain is like" we haven't seen the supermarket empty so it could be that just empty" and it tricks us to think that is our supermarket. And it tricks us to think that is our supermarket And it tricks us to think that is our supermarket And it tricks us- wait what was I talking about
Everyone talks about how liminal space makes you feel weird but the true factor is the loneliness. In your fake memory of these places you remember people but in the images there is nobody
“strangely familiar” yeah i wonder why a school, museum, playground, food court, an airport, SEARS, a bus, and a parking lot would look familiar... like bruh
I honestly don't know man. I don't set ads for any of my videos. I'm kinda pissed about it. Edit: So apparently if I'm not in RU-vid Partners Program (which I am not eligible for), RU-vid may just put ads on my videos anyway. It's bullshit
