I don’t know what it is about the 2000s but it was just a fun colorful place to be a kid. I don’t know why these places are so familiar though. The dark corners and empty spaces are just weirdly familiar
i'm a 26-year-old man born in '97, and man.... the 2000s and 2010s were truly the best era to live in as a kid. back when life was a lot easier and more fun. i'd do anything to relive those days again.
I was born in ‘97 and this video touched me to my core. Uncontrollably started sobbing from the first photo, and it only got worse from there. A truly heartbreaking sort of comfort.. This allowed my mind to revisit a time that will never be again. Quite a confusing, bittersweet feeling. Beautifully crafted video
Wow, thank u so much! I’m so glad that even after 2 years people are still leaving such nice comments. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and i’m also glad that i reached my objective in making you feel that nostalgia. Peace!
@@itsonlythatguy I'm a 91 Boy and I also wish I could go back, I didn't have the best Childhood but it was pretty great and carefree, I wish I was a little Boy again!🥺
I've got tears running down my face. I was born in '94 and just seeing these nostalgic videos and remembering the past.....those growing up around the same time I did, even early 2000s.....we were kids, we had the opportunity to live and grow up as kids. Although I was in foster care and therapy and all kinds of stuff, I still have so many great memories. Someone commented about back then being so colorful, it's because society still recognized kids for kids. We were allowed to grow up as we should and generally, protected. These contain our memories.....and it so overwhelmingly sad and depressing and painful to wish for those times back and to wonder, what will this new generation be remembered for? I don't know if we will ever get those times back.....
Wow… i didn’t expect to get a comment with such deep care and love put into it. I think that the phrase i left at the end of the video, although it is a bit cringey, does represent my view: we cannot get those times back, and i guess it’s the charm of the nostalgia and liminal videos wave. But i’m so grateful that, at least with my short video, you were able to relive such moments in your childhood. I hold those memories deep within as well, and i’ll be sure to never forget them.
@Andrewz Barillz Your quote put it all together perfectly; we can't get what is now past us again, but like you said, we can hold on to those memories, and try to make present memories with those we love. I guess it just hit me how far we have come from then, how much older we are and our loved ones are, and how different society is now. A bit sad to face reality, you know. But like you, I'll hold these memories to heart always. And thanks for making these videos, really appreciate it. We could use a reminder now and then. 🦋
I was born in 2010 but my family was poor so we always got hand me down toy’s from the late 90s and the early 2000s and these still have a really sad feeling because I feel like I know all of them, I let my childhood slip… I know I did.
3:05 My mom used to be one of those parents that’d help with school events (like field day)…this was in elementary school…and so she’d work really late during after school hours trying to plan things in the teachers’ lounge while I’d be in the gym and the closet that I’d get into looked almost EXACTLY like this
It’s very nice to keep hearing from people even after years have passed. When i made this video i didn’t want to focus on the frequent liminal spaces you would see everyday, but rather focus on something far more nostalgic. I’m glad those gave you a memory to rejoice!
These pictures bring back memories from early on in my childhood when I got my first DS, going down the inflatable slides at Pump-it-Up, and when Toys 'r' Us was still open in most places.
3:07 looks EXACTLY like my old school's Gym equipment room! Those basketballs made me remember the Tiny Tots basketballs we used in elementary school there. Got me chills and nostalgia since it looks so like the eerily identical room! Heck, it probably is!
For as long as I can recall, being a kid during the early 2000's (I was born in the year 2004) was, as @kittyqveen3249 previously stated, "a fun colorful place to be a kid." I am graduating this year, and it felt as if time has gone by faster than I can even comprehend it. Watching these videos remind me of the time I would ask my parents to take me to such fallen children's memory-giving monuments, including the recently-taken-down Dandy Bear. I will forever cherish those memories 🥹
こんばんは^_^ Born in 2008 here. I remember some of my childhood memories was watching Backyardigans in the early 2010s, playing in the bouncy houses, fun runs in 2013 and 2014 (kindergarten) etc. I cried too damn hard during this and times were much simplier back then. Now, everything is just hell and I'm a depressed 15 (turning 16 yr old) kid who want's to enjoy his childhood allover again. Also, what was ur childhood like for anyone in 2003? Im heavily obsessed with 03 nostaliga and curious so yea
I’m really glad that there are still people after more than a year asking for a new video. I didn’t think much about youtube or doing more videos. That is till now. I’m working on something a bit better, and hopefully i can share it with all of you. Thanks!
