STRANGER GETS A FREE OVERGROWN YARD MOW- CLEANING UP THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

Contact with this resident was minimal and although I only spoke with them on the phone for 10 minutes, he seemed to have a bit going on. I thank them for allowing me to film my work to share with you all. I believe it not only helped the resident but was also a kind act to the people of this street.
My original plan was to make this video two instalments and incorporate the backyard and front driveway. Unfortunately there was some personal effects in the backyard which would make filming difficult so that's reason it wasn't done.
In this video I will be removing small debris, uncovering a struggling rose bush, clearing the entrance of a stormwater drain and much more.

Love this renewal of the front yard of this property! You made such a difference to its street appeal, Tyler! It no longer looks neglected and unloved! Well done my dear man! You rock! Isn’t it incredible that the council doesn’t maintain the road by clearing the gutters and road base. It would be worth the trouble to save the need to do major resurfacing instead!🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

One of my guilty pleasures is watching others do shovel work, & you had lots of it for me to watch! (I have lots of my own I have to do!)---Hindsight is always 20-20 dontcha know! I learned rose pruning when I lived in Albuquerque. The Rose Society had a special garden space & offered the community to attend their spring pruning session. Coincidentally, I learned later that the cul-de-sac where the garden was located also was where Jim Morrison (of the Doors) grew up!---Impressive sharp knife-edge on that sidewalk.---And as always, thanx for the music.

Show your face once in a while and let us the viewers know something about you. Great transformation, Tyler. I read once that pruning roses 18" (sorry, don't know centimeter conversion) from ground or so right above a 3-or 5- leaf node/bud is a good measure. Usually done in springtime or, in the case of really gangly thorny wildish overgrowth on the spot pruning is OK, too. ❤🎉😊

The curb appeal for the house is great for the home owner and the neighborhood. Am sure water run off is much better also. When your downn, and troubled, and you need a helping hand? Remember those words? No matter how bad, or how difficult a time you arechaving, or you think you have it, somebody, somewhere has it a lot worse, and they think they are on top of the world. Get out and do a hard days work. The younger you are, the greater the effort you should put forth. Don't let someone twice your age show you up. Now, stand back with the one twice your age, and look what the two of you accomplished. Satisfying. Too many sit back and comment on, how could they let that go like that? Lazy, sick, handicapped, who knows? I call it, Mow Nation, that is you people that get out and make a difference for those who can't get it done on their own, abandoned property, or neglected city property. Rock on fellow. Good detailed lawn work, clean edging. The before and after photos were done well, set to the same spot in each to compare, including close ups. I used to have a 4’ tall hardy rose hedge, so know the ‘ouch’ feeling, lol. 🇨🇦 I liked how you edited your video altogether, including the lawn mowing, one strip at a time facing the camera. Good job!

I like the way you always tend to the plants. It was nice of the neighbour to loan you the use of his cart and what a difference you made to the gutters! That drain though, you could lose a small child or a small animal down there!

Send that stormwater drain damage picture to the council with an app like Snap Send Solve... the council are the ones who should have been looking after that all along...

Wow that wasn’t the easiest job, cleaning the side of the road, very hard on your shoulders and back, all that chopping with the shovel, but you made it look so good. It must be a relieve for the owner having the yard looking so good from the street, sometimes you find out things are a burden after they are gone.
