Mostly because UK child actors are treated as kids first and foremost before being treated as stars. also, bad publicity = bad publicity. if they get arrested, or have bad behavior, they don't get much projects. The industry doesn't fuck around (with teens and children) hahaha unless there's massive American support that enables and sometimes even encourages children to do shitty things for a profit
