I saw a leak that said season 5 will take place in 1990 after a time skip in a apocalyptic world with a war between the humans and the monsters from the upside down well more like the humans have been trying to survive the monsters from the upside down for the last 4 years and that Vecna will take over Will again to use him against El but it is just a leak I am not sure if I fully believe it it's cool idea though but I do think the Will thing has a good chance of happening

Cool prediction, but in my opinion, I don't S5 will take place in 1987, cuz they the dark cloud at the end of S4, plus, why would they wait till the next year to deal with it?

Things I have to say about your predictions: -Summer 2024 is a possibility, but I really hope season 5 is released on November 6, 2023 because that would be the 40th anniversary of the night Will disappeared (the first episode of the series). -While the season was originally supposed to take place in 1987, the Duffer Brothers reworked the story so it would take place in a different year to match the actors' ages since they are getting older due to delays of the pandemic. With that, season 5 will most likely take place in 1989, which would be good since this season ends the series and 1989 ends the 80s decade. -The Duffer Brothers said they are trying not to introduce any new characters for the final season because it would feel too short for a new character to go through an arc in the final season. I'm glad they won't be introducing anymore because that means the gang would have to explain everything that went on to this new person. They've already had to do that to Steve, Max, Murray, Erica, Robin, Eddie, and even Argyle. Having them explain everything to another new character would feel exhausting at this point. Based on all the stuff that happened in the four seasons, it would take over an hour to explain everything and the person would have a hard time to process everything. -Obviously Max will wake up from her coma. By the time she wakes up, being 3 years later, her broken bones will have healed. But I think when she wakes it, it's not really Max. I think Vecna is going to possess her body. With this, he will use his powers to cure her blindness that she got at the end of season 4 before she died. Vecna will pretend to be Max for awhile, but Lucas and El know something's not right. Therefore, El will use her powers to go into Max's mind. When doing so, she will find out she's really in Vecna's. Henry said to El that when he kills people, their consciousness are really in his mind. Brenner backed up on this. With this, El will have to travel deep in Henry's mind to find Max. Max is basically being held prisoner in his mind. And El will not just free Max. El could free all the other victims that are trapped in Henry's mind. Like Alice, Virginia, the kids and guards at Hawkins Lab, victims to create the Flayed Monster like Heather's family, Chrissy, Fred, and even Patrick. When El frees them all from Henry's mind prison, they could attack Henry in his own mind which might lead to his own defeat.

@@aoq2 as long as it’s 80s yeah but considering the time jump will be bigger than most seasons if it’s set in winter 87 Season 1-2 (10 Months Dec 83-Oct 84) Season 2-3 (6 Months Dec 84-July 85 Season 3-4 (5 Months Oct 85-March 86) So let’s say it takes place in Late December 1987 That would be Season 4-5 (21 Months Mar 86-Dec 87) It could literally be on the cusp between 87 and 88 (Most seasons take place during the span of a week so they could have it take place in the week of Dec 28-Jan 3rd) They can’t set it during or after April of 88 though because Winona Ryder becomes a big star then and you know she’s Joyce
