I definitely don’t want her to save the day but I feel like they have to revisit the Kali storyline. Considering it was the opener for season 2 and they dedicated a whole episode to it, to then just drop it bc fans didn’t like it would seem amateurish to me. I hope they tell the story they’ve been planning on telling all along and aren’t letting fan feelings lead them.

Yes I agree, the Duffers are gonna tell their story in the way they envisioned it, and not just worry too much about fan expressions, and I also agree that bringing Kali and her gang back would be kinda unnecessary, due to the controversy of “The Lost Sister” episode

I really don’t think the Duffers are just going to make this a season with constant battles. Stranger Things is more than the epic showdowns. That’s what I love about this series. It’s a character driven show and I KNOW that the Duffers will stick to this in season five because I trust them.

Yes, just like other character driven shows, like: Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, The Sopranos, and some others, and having constant battles throughout the season wouldn’t really feel right for the story, because that’s not what Stranger Things is about, and there are more mystery reveals to be answered in Season 5 about the Upside Down, and what it really is, which we haven’t really learned yet

@@mickey1540 Agreed. Jonathan's death does make sense because of who it will affect. This is how I am sure that Jonathan is definitely at least one main character who is certain to die... - Vecna will want to torture Will any way he can in season 5. So he will have Jonathan killed because Vecna will see in Will's memories that Jonathan was the first person to accept Will's sexuality and that he said he will be there if Will needs anything. Jonathan even told will in season 2 that he's his best friend. So Vecna will want Will to permanently lose someone dear to him. Someone that's always had his back. - Joyce spent the first two seasons trying to protect Will from all the evil of the Upside Down and now she will actually lose one of her sons because of the Upside Down. - I think Hopper is thinking about asking Joyce to marry him in season 5. With that, he tries to get close with Will and Jonathan since he will become their step father. He wants to be a better father than Lonnie. With Jonathan dead, Hopper will feel like a failure of a father, similar to how he felt after his daughter Sara died. - If Lonnie returns in season 5, he will hear about Jonathan's death and want to attend the funeral. Joyce will tell him to stay away, but Lonnie could say he wants to try to do better. He can say he'll admit he was wrong about Will's death, but wants to be at one of his sons' REAL funeral to pay respects. In season 1, Lonnie was actually supposed to show up to help Jonathan and Nancy fight the Demogorgon instead of Steve because the Duffer Brothers originally intended for Steve to be killed off. So imagine if they decide to finally use Lonnie's redemption arc. - Nancy will find out about how Jonathan is deciding to go to the same school as Argyle instead of the same one with her and she will be pissed. They will have an argument about this. After Jonathan's death, Nancy will think about how their argument was stupid and wish things with them ended a little better. With Jonathan gone, Nancy will end up with Steve. With that, Steve's fantasy will come true in which the both of them will have about 6 kids and drive across country in an RV to places like Yellowstone. With this, their oldest son can be named after Jonathan.

I think Will will turn. I have already been thinking about that happening for a while. He is as always on the side lines and he dose not fit in, feels misunderstood. It would be tempting for him to turn evil maybe even taken over him in the end. Like it took him over because of his dark thoughts. I think he will turn back at the last second though. But he might also die. You know who else could die in my opinion? Nancy. She is so brave and has been wanting revenge for all of this happening for a while.

i love the "stranger things the other side" comic book by dark horse comics that goes through wills journey through the upside down in season 1 and it could be a possibility of how the season start even though its very soft cannon Edit : it's crazy just how much the comic relates to the scene 1 teaser we got kinda even if it's just a concept

Honestly, if kali comes back, I wonder how they’re going to do it. The reason why I wonder for that is because we don’t really know her character that much we haven’t seen her since season two imo. Though I would like to see at least one of the by Byers die. Will making more of an appearance, might mean that something might happen to him, or he might have a crucial part which, obviously he probably will. I do have a theory that he might die in season five, but due to him having a crucial role I don’t think he will. But maybe if they do it I hope it is written well.

If Kali comes back to assist Jane and Will,Vecna might kill her or she sacrifices herself for her “sister“ which gives Eleven that extra emotional energy to finally defeat Vecna as love always prevails! That imo has always been a recurring theme from the Duffers throughout every season!

I agree with you 100% especially when you talk about how a superhero gang up on vecna is not stranger things and I really hope the duffer brothers don't go down that route

While I do think Kali will come back, I agree that they won't have more people with superpowers help out with the final battle. El and Kali are the only ones to escape the lab and they should keep it that way. They did have Henry mention Kali in season 4 and since they said season 4 is foreshadowing a lot for season 5, we certainly will get Kali back. I think that Kali is going to see on the news what's going on in Hawkins and therefore, she tells her gang they all need to go there to help El. Kali will thank Hopper and Joyce for being the parental figures that El needs. While El can enter people's minds to view their memories and move objects with her mind just like Vecna, Kali also has the ability just like Vecna to make people see illusions. So Kali and El will be an equal match against him. So I think Kali will make Vecna think he succeeded in killing El, but then he'll realize it was a trap. In the end, I think Kali will sacrifice herself to save El. This angers El enough to fight back. And yeah, we don't need a huge superhero team up in the end. I mean, season 4 does seem to be Infinity War while season 5 will be Endgame. Kinda also like Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2. But I think we'll just mostly get the military fighting the monsters in the final battle like in Nancy's vision. And since we've been getting set photos of Jason's friends following Mike into the school, it's possible in the end when they find out that Hellfire isn't a cult, they'll help fight the monsters too since Jason still would have wanted Vecna stopped and both Chrissy and Patrick avenged. Maybe we will get some other mob people joining in on the fight, but we'll have to see. It would be cool to see Linda Hamilton fight too based on what she's done in the Terminator films.

I also have theories on which of the main characters will die and why, what will Max's story be in season 5, where Vecna escaped off to after being attacked, and what the epilogue be like in the final episode. Let me know if you're interested. Because everyone that I've told the information to thinks that I am indeed right. Literally when I worked at Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Florida and was friends with the cast of the Stranger Things 4 house, one of the guys there said my theory on Max's story sounded so real that it gave him chills. So it's possible you may get goosebumps too lol.

I feel that in Stranger Things 5, things will really get strange so it should be called "Strangest Things". A new monster is hinted at as the theory of a roar heard by the older teens while exploring could hint at Borys, the red dragon which Will's painting showed as the party fought a multiheaded red dragon or a thessalhydra (or whatever the spelling is). That thessalhydra was defeated by Will' so since the Duffers say that Will has a bigger role this season, he may know how or will destroy a sort of "general/leader" of Vecna's creature army. Wonder how the love triangle will work out, I feel Steve might become a hero and tell Johnathan to "take care of Nancy".

I think elevens sister will come back, the duffer brothers even said that every question will be answered in the final season, and if el, will, and caly fight vecna, i woudnt like that unless it was only one scene in the middle of the show, i agree with you that every character needs to fight and show bravery, i trust in the duffers to knock this last season with a bang and out of the park

I honestly think will byers will team up with vecna but not willingly. I think some sort of curse will happen on him and a lot of manipulation, will byers still have the trauma of killing people and being in the upside down for 2 weeks so vecna will most likely use that trauma to do the curse on him, or the mind flayer will come back since the Russians did have the mind flayer trapped but now its free and its maybe going for will again.

Billy is going to return & start a McDonald's franchise in the Upside Down. It's going to be such a huge hit with all the Demogorgons that when the final battle comes, Vecna won't have any allies left & that's how they defeat him for good.

i thought originally that if it did happen i would completely hate it, but i thought of a scenario where the "superheroes" lose and it ends up being the normal crew that defeats the villain almost all on their own. in the past they have needed 11 but i think it would be nice to see them [mainly mike] defeat the bad guy. i say mike because in the end of season 4 we see mike struggle to take the next step with eleven and almost losing her, so i think it would be good for mike to come out of that shell and defend eleven. also Chris i sent you a Dm. it is very important

Don’t really care how they save the world, Whatever happens, happens. Unless they lose then I’d be devastated but I don’t think that’s going to happen at all! What I’m really worried about is Max not waking up and her just coming back for flashbacks in the past. Also worried that one of the boys of the main group, Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin, Dying.

i fully agree with u chris. i believe that the duffers will not do some marvel type shit but as u said there is a slight chance they do have a big marvel showdown with vecna. Prediction: i think that eleven is going to try and fight vecna alone but her friends are going to insist on her letting them help. also i think that vecna is going to be absolutely demolishing them AT FIRST but then eleven and the gang is going to come out as the victors.

What I think could be an interesting way to acknowledge 008 would be if El went to “recruit “ 008 to defeat Vecna, but when she arrives in Chicago, she finds that 008 has been Vecna’d of sorts. Maybe Vecna saw Kali as a threat and took her powers away just like the mind flayer in season three with El. This way we wouldn’t have Kali come back and become a hero, but we just have a very small storyline (1-2 episodes?) with El recruiting her. Getting down to my point, Kali could give El some advice and words of wisdom to inspire her. I feel like this is kind of a win win. Sorry this might be hard to read I was really just coming up with this on the spot!

I think the way they'll do it will be better on screen. If they do it right, it would be amazing and I have faith the Duffers know what they're doing. They've been listening to feedbacks for years. They know how the series should end

The way I see it is if Will gets powers he isn’t going to use them against Henry, because his main enemy is the mind flare. Think about it El’s main villain is Henry, and Will’s villain is the mind flare. Thy did say that the ending is going to be like episode 6 of Star Wars and in that movie Luke was fighting Vader, and the others were fighting against the empire namely the emperor.

@@toriboy25 I see why you think that, but when we saw Henry as a kid we saw lights flickering behind him like something was spying on him, and as we know when light flickers that means something in the upside down is near. Also when we saw Henry meet the mind flare, the mind flare was always there Henry just gave it a body. One last thing, When Henry was a kid he’d made a picture of the mind flare and it was perfect before he even met the thing. In my opinion the mind flare was the thing that saved Henry, seeing him as a worthy ally.

I don't want to be able to predict what will happen. Stranger Things keeps me on the edge of my seat, and this is one of the things I love about it. The music and sound tracks are another. I went to high school in the 80s, in Georgia. Everything about the setting in this film is familiar to me. Even though the setting is supposed to be in Indiana, it is Georgia to me as far as Hawkins and Atlanta goes. I love the fact that there is always something new. I love the props, the advertisements, and other things that make me feel like I am a teenager running with my friends back in the 80s playing D&D, being accused of being a devil-worshipping cult, riding around on our bicycles, and hanging out in the cemetery. I hope they keep introducing new-old music into the episodes. And I hope that it keeps me on the edge of my seat just like the first season does, and I have watched it 7 times. I don't know if I will ever get tired of watching it.

I’m so excited for the final season!!! I believe the Duffers fully understand what Stranger Things is all about! We haven’t seen or heard a peep of anything to do with 2x07. The Duffers listen to the fans, so they’ve buried that sister storyline deep. I don’t think anything related to that episode will pop up in this final season nor do I believe they’ll turn season 5 into this big final battle scene like Marvel. I have full faith in the Duffers to stick this landing!!! This final season will be so awesome, well deserved, and so bittersweet all at the same time! It’ll be an emotional rollercoaster more so than season 4 was!!

I wouldn't mind Eleven "piggybacking from a pizza dough freezer" to save the day, but a punch of superheros (Brennen kids) assembling to fight Vecna from a distance is a big no no for me.

Well, I totally get where you're coming from. But hear me out, don't you think it's time for some closure on the whole "Chicago" storyline? I mean sure Kali has her own agenda, but it's important for her to see that Eleven has found a true family and support system in her friends. Plus, with the final battle against Vecna looming, Eleven could definitely use some extra help from Kali to ensure they come out victorious once and for all! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Honestly I don’t think Kali is a bad character, that episode was just unnecessary. I actually think it’s more likely than not that she would be a good character if they brought her back in the right context. Her powers would certainly be useful, and El knows that. It does make logical sense to recruit her. Plus, Kali also knew Vecna/Henry. So there’s a possibility for more backstory there.

I think the kali episode was for 11s character only, she had a right to search for her personal past which cemented her family and friends as home in the present, as a show that would suck, if it were a real scenario a town in this amount of trouble are going to need every bit of help they can get, and vecna and 11 and the other kids do have an extremely personal past on paper just not to us 🤷‍♀️ but , in an interview and I'm pretty sure you mentioned, the duffer brothers want to bring it back to the dynamics of season 1 🤞🤞🤞 fingers crossed 🤞.

One thing everyone has to remember is that if they are going to keep up with the DnD theme Will, will definitely come out of the woodwork with some sort of power. Even though Eleven is the mage Will has always been "Will the Wise" he is a wizard in the party. Every younger character has more or less stayed true to their original party character. I think that's definitely worth keeping in mind going into this next season.

I'd love to just see everyone kill vecna, like they did in season 4. of course, the big "final showdown" moment where he's defeated is between eleven and vecna, but it wouldn't feel like stranger things if the whole squad wasn't there. not just el, kali, and will, please 🙏

What if the upsidown and its monsters are defeated by a hug, they hate bueng warm but having a hug when you really need one it gives you this warmth and here is how it would defeat them: Eleven is currently fighting vecna and vecna explains how much hate he has in his heart and how much of an 'outcast' he is eleven just walks up to vecna very calmly and gives him a hug then that warmth eleven gave him turns him into his human self and then the portals/cracks start to heal like a broken heart then all the damage thats been done is fixed and then all the 'dead' bodies that were in vecnas mind all take a gasp of air then hopper explains thethe citizens that still remain in hawkins the hole story and thats when it ends

Like Henry Creel, Will Byers is going to turn evil, Ever since season 1 he was always a shady little kid and then ever since he was rescued from the upside down, he became a darker more sinister character. He never fitted in with the others, Joyce even said to Hopper that people made fun of him because he was weird and he was different and like what Henry said he was tired of how everything goes on in society and sees it as a cruel oppressive world dictated by made up rules

I personally feel like we need Kali to come back. I mean, was the episode good? Not really, but I also didn't mind it, and she did help Eleven learn how to handle her powers a little bit. But excluding Kali would make The Lost Sister pointless in a lot of ways (and kind of a waste not to use her again). We do know that the Duffers don't add unnecessary stuff, and that everything has a purpose in one form or the other.

I really hope Will’s connection to the upside down should have him develop powers and become Will The Wise. Eleven cant take Vecna down on her own and Wills development is what tips the bar in there favour, i dont want any other powers besides Eleven, Vecna and Will This can be done in a way that builds with the character development, maybe will and eleven have a falling out over both of them being interested in mike and at the end eleven is being beaten by vecna till will steps in and saves her and afterwards eleven asks him why he did that and he responds “you saved my life, your my sister, ill always have your back” then eleven makes a remark about will the wise calling back to the D&D campaigns and wills character. This is just a quick thing off the top of my head that im sure the writers could do even better. You can still have the alternate storylines with more grounded fighting maybe a new mindflare or a bunch of demigorgons. But the final fight against vecna will always have to be a power showdown it just wouldnt make sense for him to be defeated by conventional means

I think they can make all three of them fight vecna but in different ways. Eleven using force, kali doing something with her mind to maybe hold off the military in some middle episode but not in the finale, and will is probably just being a distraction. I don’t think it’ll be that bad. The gang could still be involved and fight too.

I really don’t want Will getting powers. However, I think it would be cool if he became a vessel for Vecna and accidentally kills/injures someone he loves (his mom, Johnathan, Mike, etc.). Idk I feel like that would be cool.

I am one of the people that thinks Will has gotten powers from season 2 onwards because of three facts: 1. He literally has already shown powers with how he is connected to Vecna. Why would it be so far fetched to say he also got a bit of Vecnas/Ones powers though that psychic connection as well. StrangerThings Powers are after all heavily based on psychic connections (El has/had the power to open gates though psychic connections, Vecna somehow stole that power though the mind-flair and could use that same power in Season 4) 2. His DnD Character is "Will the Wise", a wizard-like character (sorry, I am not familiar with DnD and don't know the exact name of his Character-Type) and that fact seemed important enough to the show that it was mentioned A LOT while what the other characters played was almost never mentioned. I honestly don't think that is a coincidence 3. Will would have a good reason for not showing his powers earlier as he suppresses huge parts of his personality though all of StrangerThings which could also mean that he is suppressing his powers as well. It would make for a good character Arc I personally think the most logical powers he could have are some of One's powers at the time he was possessed by him as they have already layed down the in-universe reason he could now have those BUT I also do understand two characters with those powers would maybe feel too much like a Superhero show so it would also be interesting if his powers are way different (maybe not so physical)

I watched a duffer brothers interview half hour ago they said season 5 will just start at 100 miles an hour and be non stop, because they're in crisis and they'll be no time for new character storylines love life stuff, maybe talks here and there but it's a life and death situation aaah i can't watch 🙈🙈🙈.

I'm not sure if I want Will to have powers however it would somewhat make sense. In The First Shadow its explained Henry got his powers by going missing in Dimension X and is controlled by The Mind Flayer which gives him a new blood type which gives him power. This is how El gets her powers through blood tranfusions. However, I'm sure in Season 2 the scientists would have noticed if Will's bloodtype would have changed which is why I don't think it will happen.

I agree. First season, he goes missing and was traumatized in the Upside Down. Second season , he's possessed and tortured. Third season, he becomes a third wheel and ignored. Fourth season, he's literally in the back seat with a side of struggling with his feelings.

So first, season 2 episode 7 is not as bad as people say it is, at the end it is what gave 11 the courage and it isn't great, but also not terrible. So now here is my theory, and yes it is pretty long so thx if u read it all, so I know how season 5 will focus about beating vecna in the present, but my theory goes into the past to explain everything we don't know about the upside down, then goes back to the present at the end, and it also makes brener kind of a hero. So we go back to when brener was in his 20s, the was has just ended, but, brener is secretly working with a Russian doctor in Hawkins lab(he recently started working there), and they discover another dimension, the upside down. So they decide to create a machine to open a gate through the dimensions, and they succeed. They enter the upside down and start studying the creatures and life there, and they discover a horrifying truth, the creatures of the upside down are fierce predators inky because they have no food, on our side there are animals and fertile soil, but they have nothing, so they are forced to eat eachother to survive, one day a group of monsters catch them and brener is forced to leave his friend behind and see him die, and her eaten by horrifying monsters, this causes 2 things, brener starts writing a book about the monsters so that it can be used by humans in case of any attack, and the monsters find a source of food and start looking for more, after the book is complete brener leaves and thankfully no monsters escape into our world. Brener then destroys all papers and the machine to leave no trace if the upside down but now knows that the monsters are looking for the humans and might open a gate, so he decides to open a project to prepare kids for battle, and pretends it is for the cold war, he calls is MKUltra. So the was the kids got the powers was because he himself had powers that he got from being in the upside down for a long time, but he was too old to use them so he decided to pay women to have kids with them for the experiments, and yes he is 11's father, and vecna's father, and this is why he cared for 1, because 1 was his first son, it's either this or that some of his blood was injected into the woman so that they inherit the powers. And if u are wondering why the powers are different it is because the woman were also injected with other substances to make the powers stronger.

Idk why Kali gets so much hate! She is an amazing character and has awesome powers, they will need her if they go up against Borys. The gang can not beat Borys in a head on battle since he can turn invisible they need someone who can trick him. Even if they don't go up Borys they will still need help with they go up against Tiamat, Dregoth or Ashardalon. I have a theory they will go up against a dragon in season 5.

My wife and I love Kali. I get why ppl don't like it. But if you really think about it, she's necessary. Think of where eleven comes from. She's a lil girl almost alone in the world with no knowledge of where she comes from. Kali is integral for he facing her demons, building bonds, and controlling her powers. It also puts whose important to her in perspective. Whether she shows up or doesn't, doesn't matter to me! If she does I trust it'll be good! I don't think there's a bad episode of this show. I also would like to see Lucas have his moment with the sling shot/monster killa! 💀

You know what'd be insane? If the season ends with another loss, Vecna's Upside Down Army escapes into Hawkings and the screen cuts to black as a few white lines appear. "Stranger Things Will Return in 10 years" and we'd have to wait a whole 10 years with a now matured cast that has to fight Vecna, now only a few survive in an nearly Upside down apocolyptic world. This is a little far fetched but it'd be rather cool to see in my opinion.

I have a theory that the kids will defeat Vecna and get rid of the upside down and then it will cut back to when the boys were still little in season one all cheering because they just defeated their biggest enemy in dnd aka Vecna. This would mean the whole show was just one big dnd game. If it happens it will explain why the upside down is stuck on the day will disappeared. But it will also ruin the whole point of the show.

I personally dont understand the hate on kali i think she is a good character and she has huge potential to come back, although I dont see her in the final battle or anything, I think she will come back but only for a specific time, she will help el in a few tough situations during the season, but she will die in some point, she will tell el to be strong and never doubt in herself and she will leave, then el will fight him alone, alone as the only one with powers(but obviously with others help). That sums up also my opinion on powers, lets leave them for el and eight, giving them max or will in my personal opinion would be ridiculous. Its better for them to have some connection and be able to look into vecnas world or something, but not powers powers.
