Will is my guess. The story started with him, it would be devastatingly poetic if it ends with him.

Steve will definitely die. There are many theories leading up to why. The Duffers originally wanted to kill off Steve in S1 but they decided not to after they realized how greatly Joe Keery portrayed the role. This would make total sense for them to kill Steve in S5 as he was originally intended to be temporary. We also see how Steve is still attached to Nancy deeply. It wouldn’t make sense to have that unnecessary tension, especially when Jonathan and Nancy are happily together. Also notice how Steve’s parents are never featured in any of the seasons, which is pretty bizarre, considering he does have a family, and that all the other character’s families have been in the show. Steve is more than willing to sacrifice himself among anyone else in the group. This character arc Steve has created will lead to a righteous death where I imagine he attempts to protect either Nancy or the kids and gets killed.

So El will say her goodbyes and go to the meeting point of the portals before she uses all of her power to fly over the centre like she did in season 2 to pull the world back together but she uses too much of her power and falls back down to earth killing the upside down along with herself

Instead of master of puppets with Eddie it'll be ONE with max. "Darkness imprisoning me, all that I see, absolute horror, I cannot live, I cannot die" "taken my arms taken my legs" WAYY too fitting

My fear is the "you die, i die," from Dustin to Steve from season 3 is a fortelling.

In my opinion they should have never added argyle in the show after seeing he has no future in the show. He stole all the spotlight from Jonathan in s4. His scenes could have been given to Jonathan. But I hope they give justice to Jonathan in S5

To be honest, I don’t think max will die. If they kill her in season 5 they have to make a lot out of it or else it would have been more fitting for her to die when vecna snapped her bones and if she would die take her eyes. It would be way more emotional if she died at the end of season 4 instead of in a hospital bed. So if she’s dying in season 5 it has to be a lot

I don't think killing Eleven is a good thing. She was already "killed" in Season 1's finale, so having her sacrifice herself AGAIN wouldn't be so shocking. Remember DBZ, where every character died 3 times and got revived with 0 problems? I don't want a situation like that one happening. And by the way, I know that a lot of people want Will to die since it would be "poetic", but it would kinda ruin Season 1. The whole plot was "let's find and save Will", so imagine if it was all... Useless, in the end. But yeah idk

I LOVE stranger things, and i get the strikes, but 2025-2026 releasing is ridiculous! I will wait and even rewarch all seasons and episodes before its release, but im getting impatient here! I think eddie is gunna to come back on vecnas side and maybe even max, i think with it having to start with will it will end with will and eleven together sacrificing everything to save everyone.

here are my predictions Eleven learns to use her powers better (she learns how to fly, manipulate water maybe, stop bullets, etc) Eleven and vecna kill each other (eleven dealing a killing blow, while eleven exhausts herself) Will dies but once vecna dies max wakes up blind

I think Mike is going to sacrifice himself for something, and then in the final episode Will is going to figure out that he and Vecna are somehow tied and the only way to beat him is to sacrifice himself. Those are my two main picks for main character deaths. But I also have my thoughts about Steve.

I think they will kill Eleven because in every movie where someone has superpowers, they pretty much kill that person in the 4th or 5th movie

The coolest opening for the 2 years that have passed. We open to Mike and the others in their tunnel gear from season 2 sneaking to murrays bunker or somewhere for supplies and they're sneaking past demogorgons and demodogs whilst avoiding the vines.

Will *will* definitely die (did you see what I did there? No? alr'). He's connected to the upside down. I feel like he's so connected to Vecna, that if you wanna kill Vecna, Will's gon' dieee. Also, it would free up the odd love triangle of El, Mike and Will. Also, he's been completely ignored, and I feel like part of the reason they've made Will have such a damn miserable life, is just to build up emotion for him.

I think it’s definitely possible that s5 will start with Wills perspective because there is a picture of Noah and a child actor of him in castle Byers with Noah in basic clothes and the kid in that exact outfit from when Will went missing. Noah was also talking to him explaining how to,do it exactly like Noah did it at the start. Kinda like what Millie did to the child actor of hers.

I’m thinking it’s Mike. Will made a picture of him fighting a monster with all of his friends behind him. There is one more monster they haven’t fought yet and that is the one I think Mike is fighting in the picture. I’m think Mike will probably risk himself for el.

I think either hopper will always have that depression over his real daughter dying and feel like he's cursed and sacrifice himself especially if 11 dies. Or thinking the whole byers clan will go. I think Nancy will fall for steve again and Jonathan will catch them making out or something and it will drive him to sacrificing himself,then Joyce won't be able to handle it and go as well then it will end with Will ending Vecna and having to sacrifice himself in the end which after losing his mom and brother is what he wants and he will go out as the hero. Steve may die saving the kids finally or maybe Dustin sacrifices himself to save steve. And I think they may kill off lucus.

My guess is will because he is connected to the upside down so maybe when el or the party destroys the upside down somehow, it kills will.

The shoe and the book doesn't mean it is a time jump they were off with the year of car that Steve was driving in season 1 so being off a year or so is probably just some mistakes they made

I read theory on Reddit about ST5, and it says that what we saw at the end of S4, when Vecna said Eleven about exploring the unknown realm, this should be the Dimension X, full of rocky terrain and yelowish color with lightning, the very home of the Demogorgons and the Mind Flayer. The Upside Down could be the "Snapshot" of Hawkins. When we saw Henry falling through the world consisting of two pararel planes with rocky mountines and lightning between them, that is the Hellscape, an inter-dimensional space between dimensions, making sure that two dimensions will not colide with each other. But when was Eleven touching the Demogorgon in season 1, this psychic connection created direct link to the Dimension X, recreating the Hellscape in the town of Hawkins into the Upside Down as we know it, the "snapshot" of Hawkins mixed with Dimension X enviroment. That is why the Russians couldn't open the Gate in Russia, because there is still normal Hellscape, there is not Upside Down at all. So the Upside Down is literally a cancer of the Hellscape, stuck in time because it is a "snapshot". Upside Down working exactly the opposite then the Hellscape, it connect dimensions. Just an theory, but I thing it is pretty solid. I can give you a link to full very long article, just ask. I cannot wait 'till season 5 will come out.

What I think should happen if they do kill of one of the main characters, is rather than having only one die it should be almost all of them in a final battle with Eleven beating Vecna with whatever macguffin the season has, with her also dying in the end from blood loss or smth. i think they should leave with 2-3 survivors.

A Wrinkle In Time is a fantastic first book into a cool & weird series…while the movie was visually good (the Oprah one), definitely read/listen to the books because if it influences the ST storyline 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 it’ll be gooooood

I read a wrinkle in time for school, from what i can remember its about another world, a black and white one, everyone is the same, and they main characters are teens who got stuck in this world with a lady who has powers, an old lady, and there is an evil controlling the community so they go to fight it

Here's a different theory... Vecna has taken Will but really wants both he and Eleven. Eleven and Will make a deal with Vecna to give themselves to him if he gives back those he took from them. BUT, Eleven has her own secret plan to save Will too by getting him out at the last minute and sacrificing herself. It's all clear in my head. I hope I've written it clearly enough. 😂

I really don't know how I feel about any of the main cast dying. It really would completely go against the atmosphere of the show that has been set so far. But the family biggest at risk are the Wheelers. No one in that family has been directly affected by the supernatural yet. After looking closely at the shoe the design does not match Steve's shoe because the logo does not reach the same spot so that's a red herring.

I believe this show is going to start and end with will if that makes sense sort of like in lost the story starts and ends with jack.
