A young Colm Meaney. Honestly, this is the only British production I've seen him appear in. No joke!

The band is hysterical. This is surreal. It's as if everybody involved was doing too many drugs or everybody involved ran out of drugs when filming this. Either way love this show. This era in the BBC produced outstanding programs. Miss that time. Thanks for posting 😊

Actually, it was on ITV. Yes, surreal.

16:09 to 16:25. Sweeney-esque. More "Stoppo Driver"-like.

Don't know if anyone has noticed, but Series Five has a mixture of episodes filmed in 1981 and 1982. What was the reason for that?

@FoogouFilms They did something similar with the last series of The Professionals -- filming a bunch of episodes only to air them a year or two later. Odd, that.

Maybe production ran from late 81 into early 82 although there was heavy snowfall in Jan 82 so it would be noticed in any external filming if this timeline is correct.

@matyard May have a point there. One thing I've noticed about Granada -- and maybe I'm wrong, although I hope I'm not -- is that they copyrighted the exact year they had filmed their varying shows. The Jeremy Brett version of Sherlock Holmes that Granada produced, however, may be an exception, since that premiered very early in '84, yet the copyright from the pilot episode ("Scarlett in Bohemia", I think) said 1984. So, I'm thinking they clearly started filming in '83. Other TV production companies, like Central, Anglia, and most definitely LWT, had filmed their shows, only to put them out the following year, passing them off as the following year. For example, film something in 1982 but pass it off as 1983. I don't know if anyone else would agree, but I find that misleading.

7:40 on. Trying to figure what kind of car that is. P6, maybe?

Yes, I think you're right. I think the front and rear quarter lights give it away - quite distinctive. Also, you see the Rover in daylight in the car chase you linked to at 16:09. Somebody else mentioned "Stoppo Driver", so there must be something to that. It's ages since I watche The Sweeney so can't recall. That chase sequence seems quite ponderous by modern standards. Not really a criticism, just an observation.
