I started Irish dancing when I was 8 years old and at our annual dance recital, we had some Highland dancers. I remember watching them dance, their outfits, and the way the kilt swayed -- and I knew I wanted to be a part of this. My Mom insisted I stayed in Irish dancing, and so I did. I finally started taking Highland dancing as an adult. I loved it immediately. I danced for quite a few years then life, college, and career got in the way. I miss it, I hope I can make room for it again someday.
