Strategic Sealift Vessels meant for Amphibious Operations and Transport Duties | Philippine Navy 

To improve its amphibious capabilities in support of the Philippine Marine Corps, and also to boost its logistics support capabilities in overall support of the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine Navy has embarked on the acquisition of the Strategic Sealift Vessel (SSV), which is part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Modernization Program.
