when you play skilled bangers of any age you have to dink them to death They tend to get frustrated and make mistakes with their speedups They are a formidable challenge for sure I played som e20 something 4.0 and I never won a game until I played with one on my team They just smashed anything above belt level

With the grip on the paddles now, they can "Smash" from below net high and with the amount of top spin they generate they can get the ball in.

The youngsters who are starting the sport in their teens or even younger are amazing after a year or two. Not that our tactics are outdated, but youngsters who can run balls down, and use the power paddles with more gritty surfaces are nearly impossible to beat by just being patient waiting for them to make mistakes.

Aloha! Great advice! I've noticed when I play younger talented players, a soft game isn't something they like. Naturally, that means I still have to dink balls either in kitchen or more towards the baseline (kind of lobby soft) when they are back there. Anywhere else and they jump on the shot. Their need to return hard fast shots by just placing their paddle out there fails to work with softer shots. Keep up the great videos. I love them! :)
