Any of the other candidates is far better than Shapiro. I could live with Walz, although I much prefer Kelly or Buttigieg, although I am not convinced that independents are ready for Buttigieg. Buttigieg is also young. Give him a few years and he could successfully run for president and win! America is changing.

Whoever she picks will be saddled with defending the Biden/Harris Administration's record. They will have to defend her record of border czar, inflation on "kitchen table" items, promotion of Green New Deal and elimination of fossil fuels, promotion of EV, her tie breaking vote on $3.2 T spending packages, etc. Also, they will be asked to defend her proposals of no fracking, Medicaid for all, etc. While somebody may want the prestige of US VP. who will want to defend the past and the proposals for the future?

The pundits tend to be wrong about just about everything. They're the same people telling us Biden wouldn't be replaced as the nominee. Walz has one of the most unique backgrounds I've seen of any politician and he comes off as one of the most authentic people I've ever seen in politics. He should be the no brainer choice if they think about balancing Harris and appealing to working class voters instead of to the Beltway establishment and their nonsense like a VP is going to deliver a particular state for a ticket.

Even though Shapiro is not extremely pro-Israel, I think it will create a space in Michigan regardless of Shapiro's view.

After all, pro-Palestinian Lefties were calling Biden "Genocide Joe" well before Kamala was even at the top of the ticket. In other words, there are some who are going to oppose the ticket no matter WHO Kamala picks. But I'd wager the vast majority of voters -- Democratic, Independent and anti-Trump -- are more pragmatic than that. They realize that, if Trump wins, things will be much WORSE for all of us -- including Palestinians -- not better!

I really like and respect Pete, but he is not qualified to be Secretary of State. Of course Trump chose guys who were not qualified, like Rex Tillerson, but generally Secretaries of State are deeply experienced in diplomacy and foreign affairs. Pete has ben a very good Secretary of Transportation. Hope he can stay there and continue to build upon the experience and knowledge he has gained.

Number 1 VP pick Walz for me as he has strong Mid West and blue collar appeal with his down to earth style, won house seat in rural district Trump won by +15, veteran, strong on labor, excites younger and female voters with his policies. Strong speaker, coined the “weird” meme. Followed by Beshear and Pritzker. While Shapiro helps with Pen he might hurt Michigan and Wisconsin and parts of the base because of some of the perception against him and his charter school stance. Shapiro staying in Penn stumping hard can also help more than taking him national. Kelly if you want to go very centrist, which I don't think is the right move, and mediocre speaker. Mayor Pete I don’t think the country is ready for yet unfortunately as well as his McKinsey, Ivy League vibes for blue collar voters.

Trump must take advantage of the Democrats keeping Kamala Khameleon from debating. Trump MUST show up at the ABC studio for the previously scheduled debate. If Kamala fails to show, then it's really, really bad optics for her. Same for the Fox debate, Trump show up, Kamala won't, again really bad optics for her. He can then truthfully says she is scared and running away.
