Thanks, Rami. I think it's so easy to get caught up in growing our businesses that we lose sight of whether we can even support the growth. So important to grow at a sustainable pace.
@@rashadpleasant When you grow a simple service business slowly, one customer at a time, without going into debt to do it, allows you to learn what I like to call The Fabric of Business in a way not available at places like Harvard School of Business and the like. I started a yardwork service business in 2014, and it has grown steadily, to the point where I only go in the field when I desire "yardwork therapy" (when the office gives me woods madness! LOL).
The piece of value you gave out in this video was ‘grow slow’ coupled with ‘working for your business vs working on your business’ which is where a lot of services/contractors get stuck in. Great video.
Not sure when you started this channel but you deserve way more subscribers and views! Excellent content, with practicable points that can be implemented to grow a small business. Keep on the great work!
Thank you Rashad! This was the first time I had heard the acronym A.I.D. I took two courses online on social media and email marketing and the didn't mention this, and yet it is easy to remember when thinking about our income-producing activities. I appreciate you taking the time and sharing your knowledge.
I mean this in a very sincere way. Your teaching is so awesome, I am a sista, (black, African American),☺️, who loves music, but your teaching is so helpful that a person would not want to be distracted by anything, including music. Keep up the good work. You will definitely go far, just in your teaching alone.👍🏿
Dear Rashad The music is a bit disturbing and you could've picked a slower one. The video transitions are great, the text is great, but the tone reflects a confused personality. I suggest you write down your script along with your examples prior to recording yourself. Before you record a video, I suggest you watch one of Lynda tutorials to share professional insights to professional people with a limited attention span. However, I did enjoy your video and I subscribed because you have strong potential. Good Luck!
You did an excellent job my friend. I’m a creative and I’ve worked on my own for over 35 years. By listening to your video twice I came up with a few good ideas for me to work on. Much thanks. Keep up the great work.
I have found that social media only provides me with a steady stream of Cheap and Difficult customers, which I consider a cancer to my business. The problem with the people that are always on their phone is that they are the lazy kind of person who is always on their phone. Those who are online the most are some of the worst losers out there. I recommend getting totally off of social media, and focus on your RU-vid Channel. Giving good content (which you do, whether you think so or not! You are a great teacher) is powerful. Wasting time on anti-social media is powerful, too -- for bad.
I went part time this week to focus on growing my business (architecture) and I found your video really useful in focusing on how to present myself and think of things I can be doing to promote myself and my business. I'm still unsure of which social media platform I should be using but after seeing your video you explained clearly why that's important so I need to revisit that. Thank you so much- great video.
Smitch2909 I love that. I’m really excited for you. In architecture I might focus on visual platforms like Instagram and conversational platforms like Facebook. Perhaps sharing a lot of the renderings and post work photos of the work you’re doing and starting conversations about design details as a start. I wish you the best!
Good content and suggestions, thanks. As a licensed psychotherapist, it’s a bit difficult/impossible to show the work. Same for getting reviews etc. Thanks!
Hey, Head Savvy. Thanks for the comment. I don’t know much about your business but I’ll explore an idea. Without researching I would imagine you could get a lot of referral business and that marketing B2B would help your business immensely. If so, you can show the techniques you use or research you’ve done to those industry partners (showing the work). And, while I don’t see you using a review site I think the reviews would come by candid conversations from your referral partners to other referral agencies. Every referral is in itself a review. Let me know if I’m way off base though because I honestly didn’t do the homework. I hope this helps.
I would tell stories of improvements in your patients. The wilder the story the more interesting. Once enough people hear the story, some will start making appointment, even if for friends and family members.
Omg!!! I am a true follower now! Your advice was sound... (speaking of sound! 😂), & straight forward with real steps to take. I accidentally found you after viewing another biz video by a chic that could not take constructive feedback or questions without a serious attitude... which questioned any confidence in what she had to say! I like that you are open to this... not that I am trying to tell anyone what to do but we all can help each other! Anyway... thanks! I’m a subscriber now! Now let me go put into action this great advice!!! Way to go Bro man!!! Peace out!✌🏾
I love it Ellen! I’m glad you stumbled on the video and thanks for leaving some feedback. We should all be growing together instead of competing and defending our mistakes.
@@rashadpleasant Great video sir - thank you! For what it's worth, I didn't notice the music until I read the comments. 😂 I was appreciating the lighting, bokah, and your trustworthy expression.
Like your background music. I can listen to you and still stay focused and pumped while on the treadmill. My attention span usually wanes on other peeps vids after 3 mins. You managed to keep me on through all your tips Ty:)
You're awesome, Logan! I'm glad you got through the whole thing and still got your workout in! Let me know if there is anything else you would be interested in me sharing my ideas about.
Thanks! I have a lot I'm willing to share. I just hope it helps someone. I need those subscribes to get more visibility. I appreciate the encouragement!
Excellent video and advice. Love the music .... Best analogy of the function of social media i have ever heard articulated! Lot's of meat in the message with just enough gravy and a surprise dessert at the end...(grow slow). Appreciate your grind and your message! Blessings!
Awesome! I love the feedback and I'm really excited you got some stuff to take away. Definitely, grow slow. Let me know if there are any other things I can share with you. I would love some ideas for videos you feel would be important.
That's awesome ! growing with planning do help in achieving long lasting success... excellent way u👌 have explained the strategies..I really liked carpet example 👍 thanks rashad
Awesome! I’m def glad you enjoyed the video. Grow slow is so important. I was just having a conversation with someone who focussed on growth instead of systems and automation. Now they can’t handle the influx and are starting to lose clients. Pace yourself and stay in the game.
The music? - So distracting! What a shame... Couldn't even watch till the end.... But actually, there were times where you were speaking so fast and it matched the beats that it sounded like you were rapping. :)) Quite good! (y)
Hey, Rashad! Just wanted to say thanks for all the great info in this video! I get such great vibes about you as a person. I can tell that your very genuine and good hearted too. Take care and thanks again! 😎✌🏻
Tanya thank you for your kind words. My truest passion in life is people and making sure they are equipped to meet their personal definition of success. I hope this video and anything else I do lends to that effort. I appreciate you.
Excellent Stuff....Young Man....I am going to watch this again...I Thank You Sir for taking the time and making the effort to do this truly informative video Be Blessed,Be Safe..."Olde Dude"
Thanks for the encouragement dude. I'm glad you got something out of the video. Let me know if there is anything you might be interested in me sharing my thoughts on.
rashad pleasant I would actually love to pick your brain on a few topics as I am also a photographer (new) but I do have business. If you have some time would actually love to chat. You can find my contact on my website at www.ismilephoto.com 🙌🏾 looking forward to it brother.
Great advice! I just started working a marketer for an online service and this video has given me quite a lot to consider during my day to day activities. Thanks! Keep up the good work. I loved the music. I'd love to work out with it playing in the background. Where can I find it?
Thanks, sir. Unfortunately, the music is embedded in the video. I would hate to remove the video and the respect it gets from RU-vid because of the music. The video seems to be really helping a lot of people. The music being too loud is a mistake I hear about every week. I hope the content inspires you.
I am planning to do unclog services (like toilet, pipes etc.) - I feel like it can be hard to market that job, ofc it is possible, but feels hard and requires alot of time to think about interesting stuff. Not sure why would IG people follow back, maybe by paying conversion/engagement ads fb page can get some likes.
Thanks! I actually just posted a video with all the info in it. I included some links to the specific equipment as well... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lse6WwWxmN8.html
@@rashadpleasant I'll work my way through your videos & let you know, definitely like the creative business aspect though. Not many videos out there that differentiate between 'ordinary' business & creative. :)
lol I wish I had the answer for that. I believe building a channel requires consistent (timely and topically) quality content and community interaction. I think when you do those things your channel will grow.
Awesome takes. I subscribed. An aside; It's a body message, when you keep reacting to something on the Ears. I do BodyWorks in my Channel. Everyone should get familiar with Body language.
There is nothing wrong with getting discouraged. The journey we are on as entrepreneurs is not for the faint-hearted. Keep moving forward with your business and continue to develop your craft. I hope some of the content in the video truly helps.
Use social media to widen your market. You have to inform people what you are offering and do not wait for the client to come to you. Sometimes people needed your services but are not aware where they can find one.
