Preserved Strathclyde's Buses Leyland Atlantean LA 1204 out in Glasgow City Centre as part of the GVVT's City Centre Circular Running Day.
LA 1204 is nearing the end of an extensive restoration back to late 90's spec. After being withdrawn from service the bus was converted into a Non-PSV role which involved its entire interior being stripped out.
During the initial strip down major body frame movement was discovered, likely exacerbated by front end accident and de-roofing damage obtained during its service life. This has required extensive work in order make the body frame structurally sound once again.
The final few jobs are now being wrapped up in the interior in preparation for the restored seat frames to be reinstalled.
