He doesn't understand time in the slightest. It isn't even in 4/4, it's in 2/2, and there is no upbeat, he only believes there is because he's counting the "music" based on the melody.

@@Whatismusic123Fair opinion but it begs the question: does anybody understand time? Chopin could’ve very well put his famous “Nocturne in E flat major” in 3/4. Yet it is in 12/8. Putting this in cut time makes it very hard to read and count. Music is an obfuscatory system in itself, some composer write out their ornamentation, some don’t. TLDR; great take but im still listening to Stravinsky LOL

@@hahhey1372 Chopin's nocture op 9 no 2 is in 12/8 not 3/4, as the piece has 4 beats in every measure. You can hear time, so yes, there are people who understand time, not many in the modern age, but every great composer of the past had a grasp of time. You need to understand time in an objective manner if you wish to compose coherent music, as form is greatly affected by it.

@@SenicoOcines The time in this piece is a complete joke, the form is absolutely terrible, this is stravinsky, what do you expect? He couldn't even recognize a tonal center by ear, he is not close to being even decent as a composer.

@@Whatismusic123 Oh yeah, because atonal composers can't compose tonal music. You probably should go backto high school to learn some basic music history and theory lessons, before you dare to speak about something you you have no idea about.
