They respect luffy’s kindness and strength, what they don’t respect is his orders when they aren’t in a crisis because it’s silly, not really great respect since u shouldn’t need to only listen to your captain during important times only.

@@Tradetek1 what you're saying makes sense in a vacuum but is very out of touch with the general tone of one piece. in big dramatic moments like this, the true respect and admiration the strawhats have for luffy shines through, but most of the time one piece is very goofy and the strawhats are really just a group of friends

​@@Tradetek1 summary if you don't want to read that paragraph, Luffy trusts his crew mates judgement and individuality, and in turn they care about Luffy and his dream and motives when it matters most, sure they can be goofy but I see that as them following luffy's personality and wishes, Luffy doesn't want subordinates that follow his every will like robots, we've seen that in dressrosa when he denied the SH fleet.

Not only did they show those moments but they used their original art styles for each one which is a nice touch honoring the history of every animator eho ever worked on the show even if they may not be at Toei anymore and thr anime’s growth too.

It's called instant gratification. To few people want to wait ages to be rewarded. That's why shows like Attack on Titan and JJK exploded in popularity when their anime first released. It's why Demon Slayer is so popular. Most people just want to see fancy drawings move and not a solid story

@@ReiseLukas I tihnk Usopp being yellow is purely based on his yellow clothing. I thought for a long time that Sanji's colour would be yellow considering his hair colour, but he is blue due to his clothing he wears in the first portion of the series. They mix it up with each character, with some showing their colour through their hair, and others through clothing they wear.

Yeah it's definitely intimidating but the what got me through it was just watching for the sake of enjoying it and not necessarily catching up. Also how far are you out of curiosity?

@@Entei9000 I caught up around 3-4 weeks ago, my friend told me to enjoy it and take it slow. Beside Impel Down and Marineford I used to come home from work, light up, and watch 5-7 episodes but those two arcs I literally could NOT stop I even used 2 sick days to stay home and binge them. I would definitely tell a newcomer to take it slow and enjoy but sometimes its hard to do so.

I'd definitely tell people not to rush it but honestly once you get into it you just can't get enough of it, at least that's how it went for several of my friends as well as myself. And yeah Marineford was definitely a time when I was super eager to see what happened next week by week, but overall the series in it's entirety has impacted me in a way I never would've expected

No one was dead here, though. Also, this scene is better than the whole Endgame movie.
