Resurrecting the mood of the era and since everyone knows the songs by heart...you can’t go wrong. Happy Birthday John. Missing you. On a more introspective and social note, it is totally within the realm of probability the Baby Boomer Generation that came into the world in a Bang will leave this world in a Bang!
A humble man, John would have been surprised and probably a little embarrassed to know that SO many people knew and still remember his music. I met John (albeit briefly) during his 1974 "DJ" stint at Philly's WFIL "Famous 56" radio station appearance. His music was a big influence on my own desire to write and record music. RIP, John - your music will live on forever. PS - the brother with the Epiphone Casino guitar, the cat with the (Hofner?) violin-style Beatle bass, and the older drummer who obviously knows Ringo's drum parts really make this gig.

@@danielcerso that's the way he presented himself to me. One of the reasons Lennon moved to New York City was because the city provided him with some sense of anonymity. He could walk the streets of NYC relatively unmolested, just like many American celebrities do. If he wanted fame and attention, NYC wasn't the place. Peace!
Every year it never disappoints and it's so amazing how people do backing vocals etc. And how some songs just materialize out of thin air. The lead guitarist was amazing this year.
Someone needs to get Sean down to this one year. He lives right around the area. I got to know him a long time ago and he was so accessible. Not sure if it's the same now, but it would be great.
Beautiful. I love the way the drummer does the Ringo crossing of the left hand over the right. Next year, I want to plan to be in NYC when they do this tribute.

I always look forward to seeing this reunion come together, no pun intended. I appreciate all of the musicians who join the celebration however a special kudos to Eric, he is a superb drummer who plays with Ringo’s style and does a great job! Where is Natalie? I hope she’s doing ok.

Sang this solo at a wedding once for the processional. New York. The bride and groom wanted it so who was I to argue. It was pretty cool. Everyone sang the incidental bits.

During the argument between the Brazilian and Canadian pairs in the beach volleyball finals, Imagin was played and the players smiled and the entire audience started singing, which brought tears to my eyes.
