Wow... They are gorgeous! I've never made mooncakes before, but now I really want to give it a try! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us :) Also, I love how relaxing these videos are, you did a great job filming&editing ^^
Made these in 50 gram molds with the recipe doubled and they were a very pleasant level of sweet. Not too sugary, which isn't the usual in the US. I really liked them with another strawberry to nibble on and I wish I had a little whipped cream. If I could offer critique, for some novices like me steaming the skin was confusing because I didn't know what setting to keep the stove at once the water was boiling. Worked out fine in the end, skin tasted like mochi and I love mochi so yeah. Thank you for the recipe!
I was having a bad day and decided to end off my night with a relaxing video.. watched your video and immediately felt better ❤️ tysm for your videos Catherine!! I have the exact same mold and mini whisk as you 😌

Hi Catherine, I don’t have milk powder for the custard. Any substitute? Also, I want to add matcha powder to the custard. Do you know how much I would add? Thanks!

@@catherine.desserts Hi. I saw you on ZJD and your desserts were just so amazing. I thought maybe I could compete myself even though there is a small chance of it and I started planning desserts. one of then includes a salted cashew sponge cake. I love all your desserts :)
If you are making them a couple days in advance you can freeze them- this preserves the texture of the skin, but i'd recommend filling it with a strawberry jam as the whole strawberry won't be as fresh!
