There was a bakery in my town that would combine the cake trimmings with some of their buttercream frosting and sell it containers of it for far less than cakes. They called it "trims & cream" and I think it was even better. Owners retired and closed the bakery....they are missed by many!
I remembered when I watched this video , as a child we were very poor.We lived near a bakery that cit their cakes like this.We never had money for food , let alone snacks.We would pick up these scraps off the ground &eat them.Soon they started bagging them& selling them for.05 cents.Five cents eas hard to come by sometime. I I am 68 now ,& struggling to pay bills.Senior citizens have a hard time ,also.😢
Yes, and after all those years we paid into SSI. Now, the government and this administration, is giving it away to people who never paid into it or even from this country.
I am so sorry you have so many struggles. Life is so hard. I was thinking such a waste of food. The cake looks delicious I don’t see the need to waste so much. It’s covered in icing so you can’t see the brown parts. And they taste the same. A prayer for you. God in heaven please help one day Adam’s with their financial situation. Please allow this person to be blessed with an abundance of good food, enough funds to pay the bills, a good working air conditioner, a clean bed to sleep in and lots of love. Please give them the strength they need for their obligations. This I ask through Christ our Lord my Savior in Heaven. 🙏🏻 Amen
As a child, after WW2, I was always hungry.....last to leave the table and eager to help anyone finish their plate. I was not greedy just hungry. Difficult to realise what I went through is the reality, even today, in all parts of the world.
