I love how they gradually let him come in a little at a time on his own terms when he was ready. That seems like such a nicer way to make him feel comfortable. These are good an8mal parents.
So true practically every cat ive ever had as a companion has choose me ......then trained me to their specifics,no other animals train humans except for cats ,it a very unique relationship humans have with felines in perticular house cats
@@Whatsthedealsquirter yep… they even figure out what sound works best on each human in the household and uses it to get that person’s attention! Ever seen the videos where a cat is making a strange sound & when the owner interrupts, they turn & change the sound? 😂 That’s why! And my 2 cats both showed up at my house as kittens (6yrs apart) and I feed a small colony of strays on my property too, so I’m right there with ya!
Truly exquisite animal never thought of the personalized sound thing that is interesting,I have how ever tried to pick up on their body language, and communicate with them like that regularly, they are so smart that they have figured out that we communicate vocally and try to do the same to get our attention,I just wish the whole world would wake up and realize how great they are and that there personality traits as a cat are not flaws, but something to embrace, sorry so long-winded I just get excited when someone has enthusiasm 👍
It the fact that he strategically made friends with the dog first. Not the people, the dog. The cat distribution system has been getting more creative with their distribution tactics as of late. Good for you Bubba
This reminds me of myself. A stray cat kept coming around for a few months. I wanted her to come in, but I got yelled at. I snuck her in, and she's been around for 3 1/2 yrs!! 🥰💜😁💜
how ive gotten all 4 of mine... everytime. get that cat out of here.... hun its been here for a week and im fostering it, it wont stay long.... 3 years later... lol... tbf i have successfully fostered 20, failed with these 4... cuz they decided i was their mother.. not MY fault.... there was no treat bribes involved i swear
This happens so often. I have so many clients coming into my vet clinic "Hey I'm here with my cat... Well... I mean he just showed up on our porch one day, we let him in and he didn't want to leave" xD
This happened to me about a year and a half ago! The vets seemed totally unphased about this random undocumented, mystery-age cat lol. She's very sweet too :)
That's how we got our youngest cat, nearly 10 years ago. She was the friendliest kitten ever, so hungry for both food and attention. She'd clearly been dumped in the area 😭 My husband and I let her into our enclosed porch to feed her, leaving the screen door propped open so she could leave when she wanted. About an hour later, she showed up a street over where we were visiting with friends. She followed us home that night and we planned to do the same thing as we had earlier, feed her and leave the door open so she could leave. So much for plans though... she ran straight into the house when we unlocked the door, settled in, and made it very clear that she had no intention of leaving 😂
I can't live wo one those beautiful, mysterious, lovely creatures in my life!! Landlords that don't allow pets are evil. I have a dog too, but I'd def choose the cat if I had too 😺
My daughters highschool has a dog that comes in every Tuesday to hang out with the kids and it's the exact same breed as this dog and his name is Coconut Cooper lol he's so cute ❤️
That’s how I wound up with each and every one of mine…4 cats and 2 dogs (not all at the same time!). In fact, I was reaching into a puppy pen to pet one of the puppies and another puppy ran over and knocked her litter mate out of the way and put her head in my hand. That’s how I got my first dog. ❤️ She left this world with her head in my lap a few years ago. I miss her.
My first dog is from West Africa (I got her while I lived there and brought her home with me). In so many ways, she chose me from the first time she did her little sideways run/butt wiggle at me and she's been with me for 6 years. My second dog I like to say the Universe chose her for me. She was originally abandoned by her owners and the couple that was fostering her couldn't really keep her permanently (they have 4 cats that she doesn't get along with). When I met them at the dog park I mentioned that I was thinking of adopting a second dog and after some conversation, doggo number 2 joined our household.
So true. I always said, "I'm not a cat person" Until we adopted our amazing tabby Trisha (she passed a few years ago, she was 23 yo). That cat changed my world, so much so that when I saw a flyer of a stray Tabby at the local market, I went straight over and adopted him too, his name was Chub. They just have that power these Tabbies! ❤🎉
He wasn't a stray, he looked well fed and quite clean. This family is his "mistress"-family. His main family probably lives in the neighborhood. *Yeah, it's only a hypothesis
no necessarily true. in my country, where there's thousands of stray cats, alot of times it's a community stray cat where they live in neighborhood people leave food but dont actually take care of them. everyone's house is already full of pets.
Remember, cats are the only domesticated animal that can survive alone in the wild. Even a house cat can survive, they have very few natural predators.
Stray male cats are so good at charming their way into a family. Ive seen it happen numerous times. The best cats I've ever know were unfixed male strays that pick their home
I love the story of Bubba and Coconut. It is just priceless. I'm glad you were finally able to convince Bubba to come inside and be a member of the family.
Both my indoor outdoor cats were like this and even with another neighbour. They loved walking with the dogs. That cat looks well fed and groomed I doubt he's a stray. Probably someone's pet
Sorry for your loss I know how hard it is to loose a member of your family. I lost my first pet (cat) when she was 15 years old. I cried to hard. What mattered is that the unconditional love you guys had for each other
Congratulations on being picked by the Cat Distribution System! It's an honour and that little cat is also very lucky to have found you. What a beautiful family 😊♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
What wonderful folks you are for taking Bubb in and join your family. Yes, his bandana looks precious on him. Coconut 🥥 is soooo adorable and he is such a loving doggie. I love that you already had a sweet cat and already had amenities 😂. Bubba was playing and having a blast 💗 with toys and all of you with all of your love to give him. WOW‼️YEAH♥️🐈⬛🐕🐈🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Coconut is really extra sweet for accepting the friendship & allowing Bubba to join the family! Maybe Bubba used to live with a dog and wanted that security again? ❤ Dogs are the Best Friends!
@@LucaTheHyenaWhat if the cat is someone’s but they just never got them chipped? Kinda messed up to just take a cat without at least asking around the neighborhood first to see if it belongs to someone.
@@redhothchilipeppers6299There's a longer video; they did check with neighbors. The cat was basically a neighborhood stray. The neighbors would feed him, but he just wanted to roam. He finally chose a family to stay with.
The cat distribution system has approved your family as excellent candidates to share your lives and home with a kitty that has chosen you to love forever. God bless you for your caring hearts.
Thank you for adopting him! I do hope that you looked online first to see if he possibly went missing, & has a family looking for him? Chances are he was most likely dumped, but you never know!
That's the best because they choose you. Best cat in the family ever had was a tabby who came to us in the winter of 77 I think maybe 76. Doesn't wash loyal creatures, especially if they choose you. This is motivated me to hope and pray for one to come to the door.
Thats so beautiful that he choose you and your do great and let him join your family. Bless you so sincerely. Theres a special place in HEAVEN for people like you who save animals. Much love sent.
