The next one I would suggest is FAM the Korean MV version. It's a similar vibe because they are on the stage.. but the difference is they all are rapping. It's a song where they introduce each other and compliment each other.
Stay's birthday is on August 1 so this was stray kids' birthday present to us for turning five🤍 The lyrics of this one are specifically by changbin(part of 3racha) and Seungmin ❤
I think everyone is recommending you the rap heavy songs because you expressed an interest in that. I am glad you enjoyed this one. Also correctly identified I.N! :)
STAYS' birthday (the day they officially announced the fandom name) is on 1st August, and the last week if July is celebrated (by SKZ and Stays) as STAY WEEK. This was the 5th Birthday of Stays. They wrote this song dedicated to us as a present. Besides this, the anniversary of the group SKZ is on 25th march. You should check out last year's Stay week's special song, ‘Mixtape: Time Out’ sometime! It's such a refreshing and fun summer song with positive and feel-good vibes!
They made this song for the fandom's (STAY) 5th anniversary. The STAYweeK was about the fandom's 5th birthday. I don't know how it is with other groups but Stray Kids always makes songs and MV-s that are not on any albums and they put it later on an album. They made many songs under the name SKZ-PLAYER and later all of them went on 1 album. They make songs especially for the fandom like this. We have loveSTAY, Youtiful, Mixtape: Time Out, You can stay or Vulcano (for Valentine's Day) by Han and with a lot of fanservice there is Your eyes and There😁😁😁 They have many MV-s for songs I think more than other groups because they make many street or just having fun versions. For the title tracks and albums they go full out for MV-s but we have many where they are just walking on the street, having fun on the beach or recording in the studio and so on.... They have a very good and close relationship with the fandom ☺ 1:27 Lee Know 1:37 I.N (maknae) 2:42 Hyunjin 2:08 Bang Chan (leader) 2:17 Han 2:20 Seungmin 2:48 Felix 3:23 Changbin
The producers of this song also worked on S-Class and Get Lit. RESTART also worked with Changbin on DLC and Snain so, whoever they are, they have quickly become one of skz most frequent collaborators. I am very interested to learn more about them as skz don't usually work with producers on lyrics. If you are interested, the producer they work with most frequently is VERSACHOI, who is an in-house JYP producer. He worked with 3racha on many of the group's top songs like Hall of Fame, Item, Topline, Maniac, Domino and God's Menu.
Appreciate you going into this blind! Stray Kids are versatile as hekk so there's a lot to enjoy :) Some timestamps for members: 1:27 Lee Know, the butt hunter 1:38 I.N, the cute but savage youngest 2:09 Bang Chan, the leader 2:18 Han, the amazing all-rounder 2:42 Hyunjin, your "who's that" from Thunderous 2:48 F.. yea he needs no introductions 3:11 Seungmin, the honey voice lead vocal 3:23 Changbin, another vocal king main rapper
Stray Kids have recorded many ballad-style songs, as well as more upbeat beach party-type songs. They're very versatile in the different genres and styles of music they write / perform.
I think people have been suggesting rap heavy songs because you said that was your initial preference! I think if you’re hooked, we can open up what we recommend. All of them are solid vocalists, and it was a fun present for the anniversary for the fandom.
stay are the fan name and they named us on august 1st 2018 so every year in the week leading up they have STAYweeK where there's lots of content and sometimes even a song like this stray kids' anniversary is march 25th 2018 :))
1st Aug is an anniversary of fandom getting its name. We are 5 now. From time to time we get a song as a present. All songs specifically made for stay are produced a lil simple but they are very touching. This none, Mixtape Time out, #lovestay, Behind the light(aka Mixtape 2), You can stay. All of them are my favs
As i understand it, Skz-records and Skz-player are different than regular stray kids as in the one that they release as a group in the form of EPs/mini albums/full length albums since those projects are the ones that get the budget and promotion and are available to stream on music apps immediately and get nominated for music shows etc etc. Skz-Record songs are more of member's *personal projects* as either solo songs, sub unit songs, or group songs that are either gifts to fandom(like this one) or just something they wanted to put out. These are primarily available on youtube and the company waits for some number of songs to be out before arranging that batch in an album and making it available on streaming platforms. There's only been one so far released in 2022 called Skz-replay which had a whopping 25 songs that the members had released over the years, some going as far back as 2018(zone by 3racha). Fans obviously want the company to make it available as soon as the song is released because it's not fun to have to wait two or four years for your favourite song to be released but for whatever reason they have decided for route. Skz-player is the visual counterpart to skz-records. So this covers MVs released for skz-records (not all records get players) as well as dance covers by the danceracha members. So yes this is a mv :]
Stray Kids has a VERRRRRY strong connection with their fan base....more than most KPOP groups that I've seen anyway. They are always celebrating and recognizing STAY. It's incredible really.
For more actually live singing, you should watch their "First take" performances. First take is a japanese live studio performance and as the name says, it's taken first take. I think SKZ have 5 performance there (?). Songs titles are Slump, Mixtape:Oh, Scars, Lost Me, And Case 143
Stray Kids debuted on March 25th, 2018. That's their anniversary date. They released this fun little song for the fandom's (STAY) anniversary, on August 1st. This is basically the day they named the fandom. Every year we have STAY week, always from July 26th to August 1st, and everyday they give us gifts. Usually on August 1st they do a live to celebrate with us. “Stray Kids everywhere all around the world, you make Stray Kids STAY” is their motto/slogan, and it's a little bit deeper than you might think. Their group name is because before they debuted they were, essentially, stray kids. they were kids that were just trying to find their way, a place they belonged to, etc. “Stray Kids everywhere all around the world” aren't just them, but all of the other kids that were/are just like them, in that sense, of figuring out who you are. They're calling to us, and we're all just a bunch of stray kids that found each other. “You make Stray Kids STAY” means that we, as a fandom, make them stay. They've also said a couple of times that if you take the R out of Stray, you get Stay. R stands for reason. We are the reason they stay. Anyway, this slogan is at the end of EVERY video of them, so if you pause as soon as the music's over, you've probably missed it.
"Stray Kids Every Where. All Around The World. You Make Stray Kids STAY." is actually full of meaning. When you take the word "stray" and remove the R, you are left with "stay". The R is the reason of Stray (Kids). They knew from the very beginning that they would not be able to do anything without their fans. They wouldn't have even been able to debut as a full group. Their fans are the reason they can make music. And we are fans because of the music. So it is an unending circle. On top of that, the "Stray Kids" in that slogan isn't just the group. They want to reach people who are feeling lost, lonely, or misunderstood with their lyrics. They want to create a safe place for these people who they touch with their music. So their fandom is STAY. Both because we have a place to stay, and because we stay with them. They think of us a lot. They write music to reach people who are feeling alone. They write music to reach those who need assurance in their journey through life. They write their music so that people can feel connected. I think My Pace is a fun older song to listen to. (It does have the Ex member in it, but I don't want to forget where they came from. Him leaving just made SKZ that much more determined to succeed. It took a bit, but they made it.) Or Miroh. (Again, old member, but such a beat.) Easy is another song that comes to mind, for you to listen to.
5 years ago (1st August) stray kids announced their fandom name "STAY" then every year they have a stay week that starts one week before our birthday, then they give us videos every day, they end the week with a new song for us(witch this year was this song) and a live stream then they have a birthday party for STAY. Stray kids really love stay and that's why skz is like a home for many fans
You might like to do a Stray Kids guide to help you with their names and get to know them better. They have quite an interesting background - how they were formed, where they are from, etc. The best guides are longer ones but not sure if you'd want to react to one on air if it's long. Some have spoilers though which you may not want to do listen to. Enjoying your reactions and journey into SKZ.
This song was made specially in the last week for fans. It’s not on an album. I don’t know if anyone recommended it, but “FAM’ is a really fun one where they introduce each other.
I was a rap and hard rock fan before I stumbled onto Stray Kids, but even though that is what drew me in, their vocals hooked me too! And we're really proud of the fact our main rappers are good vocalists as well-- since you're learning them, if you rewatch this MV, that's Han in the black beanie, dark shirt, and white suspenders, and that"s Changbin in the pink shirt with the black and white striped sleeves. Han actually does a LOT of the group's vocals in addition to the rap-- he's known as the fourth generation kpop ace because he's good at everything. My favorite "holy cow, everybody's vocals are beautiful!" song is Neverending Story, a song they recorded for a k-drama soundtrack. Watch the live performance of it, and they will all blow you away. Pay special attention to the two in the center, our rapper friend Han in the plaid pants and Seungmin in the fuzzy hat. One of my favorite things in the world is when those two sing together, and they knock it out of the park in Neverending Story-- you'll see what I mean 😃
