As someone who is very well versed with the stray kids lore and their album meanings, here’s my theory: “I AM GROUND” immediately reminded me of the “I AM” series. I am NOT, I am WHO, I am YOU. Not only that, but the title being “5-Star”, marking their fifth year, but also referencing gods menu, which was undeniably the breaking point of skz career. If we want to dive a little into lore, the “duality” part at the end could most likely be skz and their clones. The “I am” trilogy set the very foundation for skz future music and album concepts, which are all about not fitting in and finding who you are. They predebut album “Mixtape” is before they start questioning themselves and their surroundings. It’s mostly angry, sad, raw. Saying “I don’t like how things are right now, and I will tell you”. Their self questioning journey ends with Levanter (“I wanna be myself, I don’t care”) and a completely new journey of self expression begins with God’s Menu. Maniac especially highlights that. What is the most important thing here is the fact that they’re referencing so many old things and concepts here. About non-conformity, not fitting in. But instead of not knowing who they are, they know exactly who they are. They’re all introducing themselves in their very own weird ways and doing unexpected things. So, what if “I am ground” is almost an indirect continuation of the “I am” series, but approached a bit differently? This time with more confidence, awareness, insanity maybe. Which could mean there’s a chance they might even go back to a bit of their old genres like hard rock, noise music and alternative. But that I can’t say with any certainty, because predicting stray kids next step in music is harder than winning the lottery.

Chan is destroying everyone right now, he had no right to bring out Christopher on us!! He looked so fire and fine. I literally whimpered at his ‘what?’ I need that jacket Hyunjin painted!! It was gorgeous and yes, we need to protect Hyunjin… the man does not deserve any of the hate or bullying he is getting. No-one does. Hyunjin is literally such an amazing person, artist and musician… he needs more people telling/showing him that. Love the breakdown…. you really picked up on stuff I haven’t even noticed in my excitement!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤

I think this album has a sort of "rebel" theme to it, the trailer shows them doing things that are out of the norm : Felix shaking the gumball machine instead of doing it the 'right' way, Changbin dancing with a shredded umbrella, Seungmin going in a cars only zone with a construction vehicle, Chan burning pianos. It's really on brand with Stray Kid's genre, they push the boundaries of music and aren't afraid to 'rebel' against those preconceived notions. Seungmin 'apparently’ said himself that they could be ‘pioneering new genres’. This album is gonna be a BLAST. STRAY KIDS EVERYWHERE ALL AROUND THE WORLD.

There was so much happening but I always can count on you to analyse stuff and help hehehheh

There is so much happening in that trailer that can link to SO MANY things from the past. Not just the past music videos, but other content as well. The vending machine full of odd things (Because it wasn't just candy) seems to reference the vending machine that Changbin & Chan had to get the key out of in the haunted school episode of SKZCode. I.N being in what looks like a museum references both Chill, and the thing they did where each member was in a cordoned off spot & the other members poked at them, like they were an exhibit. Changbin holding a spiked bat like in the No Easy trailer, but also having different BGM that he had complained that Hyunjin had in that. The umbrella Changbin holds as he is in artificial "rain" is reminiscent of the one he held while Felix poured water over him in Chill. The phone conversation that made Changbin sad is reminiscent of Winter Falls. The bomb Chan holds is reminiscent of the one he holds in the intro for Finding SKZ Gods Edition. There is a elephant trumpet during the final scene of them walking down the building that sounds like the one they used in Circus. In the poster of the flying train behind Han (which in itself references the one that is in Maniac and a lot of Ghibli ascetics. We know they love Ghibli) there is a shape of a tower. Some people have said it is the shape of the Eiffel Tower, but it's not. I just realized while looking at a aerial shot of the Han River where the fashion show was held, there is a tower that was lit up beautifully. It's the same shape as the one on the billboard. That's overlooking the Han River. There are so many references to "super". There is super ice cream, super scanner, and my brain has shut itself down on remembering any more. Also the 5 references everywhere. Han has 5 "piercings" above his eyebrow. There are 5 stars on the jacket Hyunjin paints. There are 5 cherubs around I.N. (Not to mention that in Maknea on Top, there were 5 stars everywhere in that as well. How long were they planning this?) Chan not only dressed like a character from League Of Legends, but he did a pose that one did in a trailer for LoL. Seungmin drove up to the drive in with a construction machine that was last seen in Gods Menu. The fireworks at the end of the trailer are extremely reminiscent of the very first stage they did. I have no clue what is written on the building they are walking down in the caution tape, but those are too much like a pattern to be fully random. I'm reminded of the escape room episode of SKZ Code where Chan & Felix had a clue written in tape on the outside of their bared door. Hyunjin was in a suit shop reminiscent of Give Me Your TMI. The 644 code is a guardian angel code. Hyunjin always calls Felix his Angel. The sideways city that used to be the upside-down city from Hellevator, Side Effects, and Maniac. There is just too much, in too short of a time.....My brain is in overload......Just...So much.

6:32 It's JYP app Bubble where you sign up and buy member "tickets" to send and receive messages from Idols. Those monsters formed a group of thousands and began a coordinated attack on Hyunjin. Apparently, some of them are Felix solo stans, who think that Hyunjin is a menace and shouldn't be close to Felix. I can't even begin to understand those people. How and why are they so evil... It's hard for me to comprehend. And also, as Hyunjin biased, literally breaks my heart. I feel helpless and don't know how to protect him. JYP does nothing to prevent this from happening.

I’m in a stays’ community and someone noticed a very interesting detail: in the Oddinary trailer there was a clock behind Han Jisung that fixed the Maxident and Five Stars comebacks. It’s something I didn’t noticed. Amazing 😊

14:57 - the building is actually a sideways city, like in maniac where it was upside down. Han in front of the billboard draws parallels to the "All In" MV where there's a burning billboard and he's the one at the start of the video in front of it singing solo. The plane looks like it actually has wings to me, not sure of the significance of that. The wings behind IN are reminiscent of the wings behind hyunjin in the Blueprint MV. There's another video where Changbin is carrying around a baseball bat with nails in it but I can't remember which. As an aside, Seungmin is at a drive-in (he has a cinema ticket), hence the popcorn. He didn't have a car, so got himself a JCB (arguably a link to God's Menu?). It seems like there are lots of references to past videos, just need to figure out which ones! Hyunjin gave me "chill" vibes, quite possibly purely because it contained his painting and a nice suit though. I'm not a huge SKZ lore person so there's probably a ton of stuff I haven't noticed. The duality seems to come across as their "real" personas vs their idol personas to me.

When they are walking down the "construction site" they are actually LITERALLY walking down a side of building!!! SKZ seems to use city a lot as reference of some sort, starting with the very first MV Hellevator where they where looking up at upsidedown city from another plane. With the start of I AM series, it was as if they are telling us how they feel not belong (I AM NOT) and trying to find themself. When they finally understand more of themself in the end of I AM YOU, they began to explore who they are. MIROH literally has song called ENTRANCE as album intro, because from this point onward, they are exploring THEMSELF. Miro literally means maze and they use a city in the MV and a jungle in the lyrics to picturize it. To tell the audience that they are bravely embark on this journey to know about themself more... In MIROH, they are the one who challenging the established society and bulldoze they way like grizzly bear spear heading their adventure and no one can stop them. Anyway, cities also repeatedly being used in other MV like Double Knots, Top, Maniac, and Trailer of Oddinary. I think this album would be the continuation of the story of upside down city where Stray Kids live

I.N was playing the "i am ground" game in the end Also there is a LOT of mentions during the trailer to another mvs ou another trailers(for example the changbin part) (honnestly their best mvs/albuns/eras), so maybe that mean they are going to join all of that greatness in this album?! Or that this is going to join maybe their 4/5 best albuns (giving some meanning to the title of the cb). Or it could be only mentions to the skz lore. For the 5 in 5-stars, could also be for the 5 years since their debut?! i feel like their title song is going to be something related to the sea, as you can see the earrings of chan being something like a trident and that lee know seems to be like in a deck of a boat. Since you mentioned deadpool and the all villian thing from batman, i remember that chan said once that the skz lore/concept is based on marvel lore, so it could be something like that ?!(Except that batman is not from marvel, but would follow the same logic, i guess...) Sorry for the bad english!!! Not a native speaker😅

i love your insights and how you broke this down. also with bang chan, it reminded me very much of brian depalma's phantom of the paradise, which is a play on phantom of the opera. its about a composer who sells his soul to satan for love/respect for his music and it all goes tits up. he becomes a phantom to rebel when it does. definitely duality between being the honorable leader and wanting to rebel.

And in from Bang Chan part is very beautiful shout to Awaken Leguie of Legends, bomb, piano and his pose. So great. Also all trailer make me think about Supervillans reunion for new case

Seugmin part is the only one I get. He has a literal bucket of popcorn. Him saying “looks like I win” could be about his rivalry with Felix throughout the second half of the Maniac tour. Team Muddy Water or Team Waiting for us.

With skz, they are always self aware 😂 they love to incorporate consistent themes they've already touched on because it builds up their identity and updates their life in a sense. So not only are they grounded, they are also persistently branching out

I think Changbin was "in love" and truly wanted to be a romantic at first, but whoever was on the other end of the phone didn't return that sentiment so then his destructive side came out. Also, they are walking on the side of a building at the end (like spiders?). You can see the city in the background. I am so excited for this album to come out so we can all figure out what is going on with this trailer!!

Sadly, Felix is also another victim of these crazy people. He even got death threats. It’s crazy!!

For me this is all of them, in their duality, doing things you aren't supposed to do or what we expect of the members: -you aren't supposed to shake the bubble gum machine -you aren't supposed to cross the roped barrier and you don't put graffiti on other people's work -conductors (with an orchestra, on a train) lead and direct to an end; they don't create chaos -romantics don't destroy things (swinging bats are in other m/vs as are spiky things) -in a drive-in you shouldn't block someone's view, nor park a big vehicle in the front -you paint on a blank canvas/billboard to go to the next ad; pulling off the new to expose the old doesn't do this -you don't create/change things (clothes) that you haven't paid for (he paints on the jacket; interestingly the Back Door jackets were painted, too) -you aren't supposed to swallow/drink the mouthwash or hang out in a gross bathroom or walk through a metal detector with metal (did the mouthwash put the stars on his teeth?) -music is played in time (clocked by the metronome)and you don't destroy the instruments you rely on -you aren't supposed to be rude (Chan glaring an askingm "What?" in that tone...very unlike him) -you aren't supposed to cross when yellow barrier tape is giving you warning Things I'm wondering about - one glove...is it a MJ reference - all the old cars... are we borrowing from the past or travelling back in time? - I am Ground... is it all a game - Duality...are we getting facets of the members e haven't seen before? - trains and cars...are the train and the conductor remark related? - they seem to love The Kingsman I love comingto you channel for your deep dives. I mean, if their previous trailers taught us something is to expect the unexpected. They put on elements of their music, little snippets here and there and part of their concept is definitely there... I had to watch it multiple times just to focus, because damn Bangchan and his eyes with slit eyebrows. I also thought Han was pissing in the sign... Got me confused for a moment there.

Always enjoy your insights. Everytime you mentioned city I n the sky I thought of end of Hellevator and start of Maniac with the upside down city in the sky... Maybe they're there now, they're walking on the side of the building at the end of this trailer? There's a sideways city skyline on the left of it in one of the shots. Changbin bat appears in the No Easy trailer with the sound monster theme. I think bombs appeared in one of those earlier trailers too. There are so many things that point back to older MV or trailers. The wings from Blueprint. The phone booth from winter falls... I can't wait to see what it's all about.
