Lisa is a huge HUGE singer in Japan. I literally screamed when skz dropped the announcement that they're going to collab with Lisa because wow it's such a honor for skz. and they're basically Lisa's fanboys too so it's a plus! this song is soooo good and I'm glad that you're enjoying it too!

I think this song and video are a perfect balance between showing their struggles and how passionate they still are, and their continual dedication to their dreams. LiSA blends with them so well!

Social path sounds like an anime opening and it makes sense, I could imagine someone running especially during the chorus. And the lyricssssss 👌👌👌

If i remember it right then Bangchan said that he wrote the lyrics based on his own experiences. Here are some examples: - Gave up my youth for my future. (he literally did that, because he spend nearly his whole youth training to become an idol) - Never knew i see so many people come and go. I see the mirror it's only me. (he was a trainee for 7 years and many of his friends debuted before him and left him alone in a sense)

I think it's interesting that you saw a connection to Hellevator, because I didn't until you said that. But Hellevator was about the journey for them trying to debut, and Social Path Bang Chan has said is a bit of a reflection on being a trainee, so it makes sense that there might be elements that feel similar. 😊

This collab was two of my worlds colliding and I absolutely loved it. LiSA is my favourite Japanese singer and as some people said she is huge in the anime industry for her lending her songs for anime openings and endings. Some of her most popular songs are "Crossing Fields","unlasting", "Gurenge" and "Homura" plus many more. She is just an absolutely amazing singer and I love her to bits.

I am LAAAAAAATE 😅 But LiSA is my favorite Japanese musician and skz my favorite Kpop group. The SCREAM I SCRUMPT when the announcement was made. I literally jumped and yelled at my fiance about how excited i was until it came out, and even then, it was on repeat for a while😂

This song for me seems to be about how hard it can be to chase a dream. It puts you at odds with society a lot. Most folks just get a regular job in order to pay bills and support themselves and their families. It is a risk to chase dream especially one like music. A lot of people try, few people are successful. A lot of people say you can be what you want as long as you work hard, but hard work isn't always recognized or rewarded.

Social Path I think just managed to become my favorite japanese title track and that's saying something considering how many banger SKZ has in japanese. Chan said he thought maybe other people could relate to the lyrics 😔 broke my heart why don't you. Butterflies the other song on the album is written by Chan ! He gave us a small snippet a year ago on Channie's Room and it' SO good so funky and all inspired by a butterfly resting on him. LiSA is a v popular japanese singer and very well known in anime circle for her incredible opening (most recent ones being Gurenge and Homura for Demon Slayer). Her voice is so POWERFUL her First Take are crazy if you ever want to check it out on your own time. (Im still hoping for a Social Path The First Take 😭💔). Take your time for stay week we can wait ! First of all, I adored your reactions and facial expressions! Moving on… the lyrics hit hard initially but definitely more when you know the background and that Chan wrote them with his past in mind. The video is mind blowing and meaningful, as always. And the song itself is interesting, the different layers, and yes a bit more sad feeling in the verses but since that chorus has a brighter message of not giving up, I like that contrast with a bit of brighter music too. Overall, thanks for another amazing video! Gotta love this team of Aces that is Stray Kids (I’m Aussie line biased, but all of them, Han especially, have been wrecking so hard!!!!)

I have seen others explain how at first all the members are isolated, dealing with issues on their own and dressed in muted tones. Chan in particular trying to get away from the faceless people (the dark emotions/depression), but then he is caught. We then see the others come together (some wearing bright red, but all more determined) pushing against the faceless trying to get somewhere. They come to a wall, possibly the one Chan came to before being captured but on the opp side, and tear it open. He then joins them as they dance, in their new outfits, finally smiling together. They saved him. 🥺

I love this song. It actually made me tear up the first couple of times I heard it. The lyrics are just wow. We know what he went through but to actually hear it in the song just hit different. Love it so much

I think watching The Stray kids Survival show would be a good idea if you haven't already. You will be able to understand them and their past traumas better. A lot of what they went through during that time is kind of messed up but anyway. I think for me I thought of all of them but I thought of Chan the most, he left Australia when he was 12-13 years old, he couldn't go home and he had to leave his parents and younger siblings, as well as all his friends. He couldn't speak Korean fluently and struggled a lot. He made friends and trained with GOT7 and was supposed to debut with them however, the company cut him from the final line up. Things like this happened with the members of twice as well. Chan said in an interview that, while watching and being happy that they got to debut, he was so lonely because they no longer could hang out with him anymore. There was also a time when JYP did like a culling of trainees from the company, and besides Chan everyone got cut. All of his friends, everyone. He said that it made him realise that it was safer to not make friends with anyone, so he did not have to go through the heartbreak of loosing his friends again. He said that he fell into a spiral of depression. Anyway jump forward a couple of years and enter Han and Changbin, Our 3Racha and then the rest of them. Chan found his family, and Stray kids was born out of the ashes that was Chans youth. He sacrificed everything for his future, they all did. but Chan....I think he was the foundation. 💜✨
