omg I didn´t think of that, in maniac Changbin says "Everyone lives hiding themselves like a sealed tornado" and now in The Sound the tornado is released. this mv is amazing
"Like Experimenting" omg ikr Theres so many references, the knocking for Backdoor, the Experiment place for District 9,( "sealed Tornado" in Maniac!!)the bow and Arrow for venom...?? Its so fun to Look Out for those 💕and i looove how hard this Hits, they Show once again what can seem Like Chaos or "noises" can be a beautiful and powerful Song🤍 so Proud of them🥰🥰🥰Like a "thunderous" Beauty 😆 Dangerous yet fascinating🤍 Btw they did use sirens before xD its Not the First time and it Always fits and adds to the Song somehow, its a stray Kids Thing💕
I might be reaching too far with this, but there's something about this specific music video that keeps me mesmerized. There's this overall aura in their facial expressions that gives this sense of confidence that you only get when you gain experience in what you do. It's this sense of calm self awareness... I really don't know how to explain it. It's passion, but in a more mature way? Like... we have seen over the years how they always try to reintroduced themselves with each title track... Miroh, God's Menu, Thunderous, Maniac, etc and they always remind us how unique they are and how truthful they want to be to their sense of identity as a group but know... it's seems they have reached a new level... it's like the introduction to a new era in their history and I know they wrote this song years ago, but still... there's this new energy that makes me so excited and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. Sorry for the rant hehe. Does this makes sense to anyone else?
Yesss I feel like this is the intro of 2023 for stray kids. Their unique sound will be more highlighted this year and they will have another "break-through"
100% agree. I'm a baby Stay (begining of June is when i discovered them via Case 143 😊) and, in catching up on all their MVs, this one just felt different. Maybe it's their Japanese tracks (The Scar mV was also so beautiful), but they just seemed to shine so much in this one and in Scars!!!
You had a lot of interesting point. A few I haven't heard before. What I noticed was a bit different. I know SKZ love anime, and I know they like Dragon Ball.....So....At the beginning you see the members in the mundane world & they are bored out of their mind. Then you see the members in a different reality & they are using music to call attention. Both are trapped in a building/room. The musical versions call out & energize the mundane versions. When they sync up, the tornado destroys the house/room they are trapped in. And you see the members in a fusion of the two outfits in the outside, surrounded by rubble. They are free & fully themselves, and not afraid of the storm. Or in control of the storm...Not sure which....It's fun to speculate.
Anyone else notice that Skz title tracks- for full length albums- seem to all have the theme "This is us and our music"? like God's Menu- We can serve up whatever you want, we've got it all here. Thunderous- We're loud, we're noisy, even if you hate on us we'll do what we want. And now The Sound- *gestures to all of it* I don't think I need to say anything here
Actually that's bc God's Menu in the skz universe is when they realized who they are. Before the GO LIVE era they were lost and we're finding themselves but when in Levanter they went to the "New World" where they finally found themselves they are celebrating it. I guess before Gods Menu, the name Stray Kids meant they were lost and finding their own path. But after God's Menu, the meaning of their name changed to they don't follow the rules or the trends, they just do whatever they want.
Yeah, Laputa means something completely different to us Spanish speaking people hahahaha. It seems like the guys really love Studio Ghibli's movies, especially Han. I think the video was fine, but I was expecting something different since it's their first full Japanese album. I loved the lightning effects and Chan as a drummer made me feel things lol. Great reaction as always!! 😁🤟🏼
Sooooo excited for this reaction! And major kudos for holding out on taking a sneak peak🙌🏼. Can’t wait to hear your full review of the album when it drops ☺️
I was so glad to see your reaction… always love that you read the lyrics! You try to get their meaning before the visuals, really appreciate that. Thank you for the Laputa reference, I didn’t get that! This was a great song with an amazing video. Love the fact they are still making their music their way and the imagery is a brilliant match to them not being apologetic for staying true to themselves. They are still sorikkun! Changbin & Han are so passionate, the snarls as Bang Chan gets into the choreo are everything and just how sexy he looks as a drummer, as well as his arrow (his music & inspiration) firing up the boys and bringing them to life. I like the metronome effect running through the song, especially with the choreography! They bring the noise and they love it!! I adore this song already. 🖤🖤
This is definitely my new favorite concept, song and video from Stray Kids so far. I actually teared up because it hit that deeply with me. The way they are able to blow me away with every song they release is CRAZY. Your reaction also shed light on things that I didn't even notice and made me love the video even more.
Firstly, thank you for another great reaction! This song is an absolut blast, 'the sound' is truly amazing :) Regarding those "tattoos" they have, it seems to me that they're all related to the symbols used in a music staff. English is not my first language, and forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think: Changbin has a bass Clef below the eye (but turned sideways and has the little dots on the 'wrong' side, which makes me think it is done like that purposely... maybe because they make their own sound/rules?! Idk), Bang Chan seems to have a Cut Time symbol (kind of a C with a cut) over the eyebrow, Han has a very obvious soundwave on the neck. I find it curious that it's 3Racha that vividly show those marks. I.N. also has two very fainted dots under his eye in a scene, but I don't know what they are, or if thay have anything to do with the other three.
i've been following their lore since then and those marks on jeongin's eyes are a symbol of the two moons! (if that makes sense) you can also see them on thunderous teaser pics!!
Love your reactions always! Yes, it looks like they blew the roof off the house, which is nothing new. Stray Kids never, ever miss! The Visuals ❤️!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯❤️
I just wanted to say that I really appreciate the consistent content both on RU-vid and patreon. Your videos just look so professionally made and very time consuming considering the quality. I also admire how you seem genuinely interested in every single video you release, I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video where you seemed bored or unamused. Keep up the great work, you’ve grown to be one of my favorite reactors both on RU-vid and patreon
This song was JUST MASTERPIECE. Still, I feel so hyped about this song. That’s why I love all of them too. I got goosebumps. Every moment was insane. I really love everything about them. They’re phenomenal!!! Their concepts were awesome. Also, I am just obsessed with all of them. Thank you so much for this. I really enjoyed it.
I feel like their Japanese songs (most of their songs not all) have a rock vibe , drums , more powerful , stronger in a way. Maybe because rock and metal are more present in Japanese music . Maybe. Like the vibe is different. Right?
Thank you so much for this reaction. You always go so deep with your interpretation and your thoughts are so interesting. 💙 This song also immediately became one of my favourites! In regards to what you said about Changbins rapping: I think it is the combination of his extremly clear pronunciation, that in my opinion highlights the unique syllable structure of korean beautifully, and his way of highlighting single syllables or words with a different pitch like at 4:44 Anyways this album will be fire and like we know SKZ they never disappoint!
I totally agree. This is one of my favorite Skz songs of all time. Def my favorite Japanese release! Everything about this song is simply amazing. It sounds so epic. Makes me feel like something bigger is coming.
You saying Stray Kids is the experiment has me thinking of how they genuinely are, IRL, an experiment for their company. But also in the lore/MVs, they're always in the lab or kitchen, experimenting with their "Sound".
Wow I didn't even pick up the sirens until you noticed. It's cool how everything connects together. The first scene, a empty house, but everything is left as if they left in haste. Ofc the lighting through the whole clip, and then the sirens in the chorus. And when Han starts the chorus the ceiling rips away as if in a very bad storm. It linked together to me after watching your reaction.
its so fun to explore with you every f time!!!!!!! love what you do so much; personally i got the feeling that sound-kidz was not experiementing but breaking the wall of reality purposefully...chris building "the sound" up and the rest supporting him and waiting for the break point impatiently or almost triumphantly. as if they want to get to empty-kidz to save them, just like in circus they showed themselves that they should do shows only how _they want, not audience nor anyone else. some details like that building at the back and breaking it with storm i didnt get yet, but still the messege is so strong just like the sound of "the sound" and literal references to thunderous and tornado lyric from maniac are incredible. god i just so happy to be stay they saved me with that song too just like they did to themselves bc since last month im like those empty-kidz lying flat powerless and feeling nothing but their "sound" brought me out of my depressive episode like that tornado or arrow hit...thats amazing what they can do with the power of their "sound"...whats interesting is that also they had storyline with the Sound Monster in noeasy era and this picked in followed christmas eveL (santa was recovering from its attack so kidz had to do the job). if im not mistaken that monster stole voices from people and made them voiceless and in intro kidz was getting ready to fight him!! i liked that messege then, socially and almost politicly, but now it got even better bc kidz use "the sound" to save people, give them freedom, bring them out of empty feelings - including themselves. WHATS MORE INTERESTING......remember about The Wonderful Wizard of Oz...that storm...destroyed house...and could bring them to another world...yeah oh good god i just love them so much cant even put it to words. thank you for video!! take care
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! It always helps me to consolidate my own understanding of the song and notice all the important elements that I missed 🥰
20:45 If u have seen SCARS the have wounds there and the message is be proud of your scars like ur proud of your tattoo. Amd i think these are scars that became their tattoo and designed it as musical notes and instruments coz of they are proud of their sound.
if you connect "laputa" in their lore it would make so much sense.. in hellevator there's a city up the sky. the same thing in maniac! and laputa isn't a floating island in their lore, it's a parallel universe!! and i love your reaction so much!!
Your voice is so calming for my ears. I can sleep hearing you talk. I don't really watch reaction video but I watch your video to learn English. Thank you❤️
Love this reaction. I don’t know if anyone has noticed this, but I literally jumped out of bed watching this bc I remembered what the blue lights reminded me of. If you’ve seen Sorcer’s Apprentice (Nicolas Cage movie), there is a part when the guy takes the girl he likes into this lab where he shows her what music and lightening I think it was does together. But it makes that sound like it does in the song. Pretty darn interesting. So… yeah. Lol. Like your reaction and explanation. See what else Stays uncover.
hi, I stumbled across your reaction to "The sound" today...I was very impressed with your attention to all the details and I really liked your attitude towards these beautiful, talented kids❤️I enjoyed watching almost all of your Stray Kids reactions❤️You are amazing !Keep it up!
I am glad that you dissect the lyrics and share with us your insights I really appreciate it because it makes me understand the song more. I love this song too. I love the songs they do in Japanese - Circus, Scars, Your eyes, Slump, and now this The sound, their Japanese songs are great.
Omg.... I'm so late on your reaction.. I'm so sorry. But as always, I really loved it as always.. you are as hyped as I'm every time, and that why I freaking love your reactions sooooo much. This song is definitely the next masterpiece... but to be honest. , every lsterest song is a freaking masterpiece.... I can't imagine what they can show us in the future... there is definitely no limit in SKZ. The mv is made so freaking good... the scene changes are insane. The visuals are unbelievable, but they are always perfect. But Chan playing the drums is an other level of sexyness.... holy hell... maybe because I can play the drums too... So, as always, I loved this freaking cool reaction as always. I loved you seeing hyped af, and as always, I freaking love your facial expressions 💗 best wishes, darling
Yeah, when I listen for the first time the music and saw the lyrics and noticed the word “Laputa” was a bit fun for me 😂 inclusive I show it at my friends and obviously I searched the meaning of it
I think the word you were looking for is 'expressive' and yes, Changbin is that :D Random info: Laputa is also a Ghibli movie (a Japanese animation based on the flying island from Gulliver's Travels) and it's great, like most of what Ghibli does. I think it's more known by the name Castle in the Sky.
