pinning this: sorry I made a mistake and commented on Lee Know instead of I.N. I am still learning and try not to watch the performances in advance, so this is literally my first, pure reaction. My comment still goes to both of em. liked the falsetto: it is ABSOLUTELY okay to sing in that register especially so high. and for I.N. it goes double for the "his voice broke". I mean...heard about stylistic choices mnet? i didnt even consider it a mistake to talk about goddamn. so...virtual hug? YES? we throwing hands with mnet? YES. thank you for all the love guys
I was literally ready to write a long a*s mail to Mnet about their voting policies when I saw the results back then. Like how are they counting those votes and are they even being unbiased? Because I haven't met a single person who saw this performance and thought it should have gotten that rank. (tbh I think it was to maintain the drama tho. Stray Kids had won the previous 2 rounds consecutively, and if they got a good rank here, they would be guaranteed to win the entire thing. Which they still did ;))
I will never stop being unsatisfied with the fact that this stage of Stray Kids didn't rank higher, because to me, this was definetely most meaningful and detailed stage they have EVER done, so I find it quite bizzare and personally offended lol, but it is what it is, im happy at least other stages were appreciated!
If I had to guess why this happened, I would guess that the concept was a little too dark for the "experts" and they were unable to look past that at the performance. I mean, they literally did a musical rendition of using blood magic to summon a demon in order to bring a child back from death, and in conservative Korea, it may have just been too much. Otherwise, I can think of nothing.
Changbin also left me speechless, the last rap part in the original song is supposed to be done by 2 rappers and he did it all himself! 👏..Stray Kids never cease to amaze me!
The way you complimented the part that IN was disappointed about is honestly a win, I too had no idea his voice cracked at first and I always thought that that part was one of the most emotional lines of the whole performance! I really hope IN will gain more confidence in the future, he truly deserves it, he’s an amazing singer
Yh me too that part was emotional…….. I think that mistake influenced him to join the mayfly dance team instead of vocal team…… although he is a great dancer too….. but I was a little surprised.
@@sharonbesong9687 yea, I really think the experience shook him and that’s why he ended up on the dance team instead of with the vocalists. He’s a pretty good dancer but let’s all be honest, he’s a vocalist and everyone’s always known him to be one of the main vocalists so it was an interesting turn out of events for him to not be in the vocalist group. I was honestly really disappointed that he didn’t sing with them. He has such a lovely voice and I think he would’ve fit the song so well. He doesn’t get many opportunities to really demonstrate how good his voice is except when he’s doing solo SKZ song videos or like the few times he’s sung Trot music. I hope he gets another chance some day. Especially now that he’s older and been through this experience and has more confidence.
If you want some more Seungmin and Han you should check out Gone Away. It’s a unit track with Han, Seungmin, and I.N that the three of them produced for their newest album! One of my favorite Stray Kids tracks for sure
By the way, Btob members were so shocked about Han))) And not only Btob but also other groups were shocked, asking: "Isn`t Han a rapper? Why is he so good?" I love their reactions)))
Chan didn't get many parts but hit the highest note of the performance towards the end in the background. I wish it was a little more clear for the audience :(
A little bit of TMI but I believe Han had vocal cord nodules right before this performance and you can see him talk about this in their behind the scenes video on their RU-vid channel. He didn't speak at all the day before the performance and still managed to do so well. I'm so proud of him.
I want to hug I.N. when he cried. He did great, all of Straykids did really well. BTOB and Melody love their take on IBYM and the fact that they're the first one who covered the song, it will forever be etched in our hearts.
i would HIGHLY recommend to watch the performance named “City of Stars”. It’s with only BangChan and Felix and another girl from Itzy, her name is Lia, and it is ABSOLUTELY beautiful especially Felix’s voice!! I fell like you’d love it! 😊❤️
Chan's note at the end when Han/Seungmin/ Changbin were singing always seems to get cut off because everyone is talking about the other 3. I feel like that layer added even more to the ending.
So true but most people don't realize it's actually him (like me... I'm ashamed!) 😭when I realized my brain kinda zoned out for a few seconds.. I know he's talented af and perfect but boi-
'when did you get so big? i can't even hug you anymore' i teared up after chan whispered this to i.n who was crying after the performance 😭😭 bb bread did so well tho, this stage is def one of my fave in kd !!!
The theme of the performance is that they decide to sacrifice themselves to return the child (the statue) to life, so they do everything possible so that it would be with them, even if their destiny was to die, in the end they decide to sacrifice themselves and the child returns and in the final scene hugs BangChan, everyone is wearing matching rings including the statue. Months after their participation in Kingdom they said that their presentation was in honor of Hyunjin who unfortunately could not be at that stage with them, and that is why there were 8 rings and the little boy represented the missing member, a hard and difficult performance understand, but vocally beautiful and priceless in meaning.
Han isn't my Bias, but Han is the strongest Member in StrayKids. The strengh of his Voice alone. Its so strong, loud and clear. He can sing incredibly fast, on the same Time delivers the sweetest Songs. He writes such incredible Lyrics. He may hate moving around and rather stays at Home all Day, but that doesnt hinder him from being an amazing Dancer with his own Style. 4 Years ago he acted as if hes the greatest Superstar and laughs about it today, but he actually is.
Chan is such an amazing leader I think he is one of the best leaders I have seen so far , he works so hard in writing producing and singing But still has so much to give to the members .I also love Changbin’s part he went so hard and like you said in the video it helps build to such a crescendo it was amazing 😻
I literally cried and this makes me so sad every time I see about this bc for me he did it so well, I didn't even notice his "mistake" and personally it fits the song well! and mnet filming him crying was in such bad taste and disrespectful, and they also filmed I.N and chan without his consent ugh sorry i'm so angry again as an I.N biased, i have a lot more to say but i'm not an english speaker and i will not be family friendly i'm here to fight anyone who makes him cry
This was my favourite performance in the entirety of the show cuz of how raw the emotions were and I was shocked how they used I.N crying for clout. Thank God tho, Chan and the members comforted him.
soooo the part where you said I.N nailed it... supposedly there is a crack somewhere in his voice that is supposed to be a big mistake? I mean, you are a vocal coach and you saying "I.N nailed that part" was so so good, because I think the same, it sounded amazing, not despite the crack or whatever, it simply sounded amazing. period.
but....voice break can be a stylistic choice? I mean...he was upset about it but...I feel like they inherently made him feel upset about something that was not really an issue. it is really upsetting :(
@@Katriinka I KNOOOW! they shouldn't have made him feel bad about it, but also I think he needs more reassurance and help with how to NOT put so much on himself. believe it or not, that kid still thinks, that his falsetto is not good (listen to his covers and be the judge of that), he still thinks he is not a good dancer (watch a few of his fancams, where he is in the focus while they are performing live), and he keeps putting himself down like that, till today (the last time he said something degrading about himself was actually yesterday, he said, that he's got no talent when it comes to using his body)... sorry, blabbing here, but it hurts so much when he says things like that about himself.
Honestly, I feel proud when you mistaken Lee Know as I.N He's mainly a dancer, and at first he didn't hv the power or confidence (?) I think to sing smoothly, so he was put as rapper by jyp to make him stand out more. They're really hard working!
I think you should definitely check Changbin’s “Tomorrow” I’m sure you will love Changbin’s singing a lot!! Also thank you for sharing your reactions and complimenting the kids a lot!
lee know is known for his falsettos, i think they def did it on purpose also, the bang chan appreciation🥺 he always just instinctively just believes and trusts in every single one of them wholeheartedly
Ahh, this performance was so touching, I remember the goosebumps I got when I was watching it live. The results though, like there's no explanation, what the fuck was going through the "experts'" heads? Anyway, I hope you react to their Wolfgang performance, again with the recording parts as well. I love seeing them in the studio so much ^^ Thank you for this reaction!
Whatever people might say, choosing this song was a great choice. Everyone was stunned by their vocal performance in real time when this aired. Han had articles written about his unexpected and amazing vocal talent, as well as the others. I'm glad they chose to challenge themselves, and i'm so so proud, they did amazing!
As a Melody (BTOB fandom) of more than 8 years who has listened to this song a thousand times (I'm not even exaggerating - this is one of my favourite song of theirs and it is constant contender to be put on repeat), I was so happy with this performance. I wish they had been placed higher for it, but it made a lot of us Melodys into Stays, so it's a win, I'd say😍
Changbin actually rapped by himself in the end along with han and seungmin what is originally rapped by 2 rappers in the original version by btob …that is pretty amazing!!!
You should totally see this performance with the other idols reactions to this performance. It makes it so much better! Seeing the other idols witness this stage and be like, "Wow, Hannie is amazing, how can he do that well as a singer?" I'd love to see you react to that!
Have you seen the original MV by BTOB? It would be cool if you talked about the differences with this performance, the BTOB original has a very different vibe.
OMG YOU FELT WHAT I'M FEELING TOO!!! I didn't cry along the performance, but the last seconds, (or maybe last eight seconds as you mentioned) brought me into tears. the whole performance was really really theatrical and beautiful, that's why it became my favourite stage.
I KNEW IT!! I was so mad towards mnet and the “judges” we don’t know of ranking them the lowest because that minor voice crack that is placed so beautifully at the end. It was perfect but I.N had to blame himself for it. And the thing is, the judges didn’t even understand such a meaningful performance with all the prop elements and acting. This masterpiece deserved better😩
chans high note (at 9:14 & 14:12 on your video!) is always a lil overlooked but i think he did such a good job too that whole last section is just amazing
By far, my favorite performance in Kingdom. That said, there will always be a few things I can't help but comment on every single time I see someone react to it. The story they told was so intricate and beautiful. Both when it comes to the emotional aspect and, of course, the performance. So much so that I'm not a bit surprised the judges didn't get it. I'm more surprised they managed to get to work that morning or that they didn't get stuck outside trying to figure out how doors work. When it comes to Lee Know and his part, I just think their equipment can't handle his awesomenes haah, beyond that though I couldn't begin to explain why Lee Know's voice/falsetto comes off the way it does in this recording. Specially when what I do know is that I have watched other versions from other angles, and it was perfect on them, to me anyway. It may also cheer you up to know that Lee Know made damn sure to do nothing but criticize MNET basic the whole of Kingdom.. There's footage of it if, like me, you now need the therapy, haha. What was it that he said? "When are the professionals going to come?" 🤣 As for I.N.... MNET lost the last bit of respect that I pretend I held for them with that stunt. There's only one thing I have left to say to the gueen snake now ... I have absolutely no problem with hitting a girl, but at this point, they aren't even worth with my "YO MAMA" jokes. Last but not least, Channie! That man never ceases to amaze me. It's so obvious that when he and 3RACHA were arranging this piece for the guys, he never had himself in mind. The whole thing focuses on everyone but himself. It's one of the many things I love about him. And every single one of them killed that performance, which tells me that he did a damn good job when he built that group from nothing. 🖤 I would have given anything for them and that performance to have been appreciated, the way it deserved to be, by those running the show. Plus, that voting was BS. Channie should have been enjoying a job unbelievably well done. Not having to console his boys, who should also have been busy being incredibly proud. Instead, I wouldn't be surprised if seeing this stage doesn't give them panic attacks. 😭 Oh, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that beautiful note near the end was Channie. Was it not? Anyway, I am really truly glad you loved the performance. Their vocals are most definitely underrated. By the way, I have a feeling that the guys would SERIOUSLY adore you. 😊 I know I sure do.
I've never been here during a premiere so that was exciting! 😂 love your reactions! This performance still gives me goosebumps even after the 100th time watching it, can't wait to see more reactions!! Some suggestions: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_zH2EuZDGwE.html - Secret Secret performance which is written by the amazing Han Jisung ❤ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Dk-27B5Uzg.html - Neverending Story performance ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iRjV6uEOvIY.html - Levanter performance, this song really shows Lee Know's falsetto but I'm unsure if theres a better version with less backing vocals, if anyone knows one feel free to leave a comment!
all of the reactions from the other bands to Han's singing always make me happy. They're so confused and so impressed 😄 Def watch BTOB's first round performance (Missing You) but I'd also recommend Changbin and Han's Masked Singer performances if you want something just focused on them
I think you would like seeing Han and Changbin on Masked Singer. It’s a Korean show where celebrities sing completely masked and both of their performances are amazing. It was one of the first times I ever heard Changbin really sing. We also get a gorgeous performance from Han where we really get to see his vocals. Highly recommend
I cried so much when I saw how badly Mnet treated Innie. They used his raw emotion as a teaser for the show and it really pissed me off . He is still a baby and has such low self esteem that this hurt him for weeks . He was at his lowest he’s been for ages and he was already sad cause Hyunjin wasn’t there with him as his confidence booster..then they shoved a camera in his face and told him to talk , you can see the way the edited the whole piece showing him questioning himself in the studio and the members saying they will be there for him.. When other groups had an issue and members were visibly upset Mnet just flashed the camera by them. But the show was awfully biased anyway with some groups getting little to no air time and voting sucked the lol “professional “ panel who decided on scores had people in it that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. But Mnet being Mnet we all knew it would be a sham to begin with but fans all supported the groups and we all know our groups did there very very best.
Please react to straykids' neverending story, they don't have the studio recording video but they sang it live in a music show plus that was the first song seungmin and han did harmonization (if i remember correctly 😄).
To be honest, if MSnake didn't focus the camera to IN, no one will notice (other artists might, but not us). They also did that to Inseong! BTOB is really impress! Changsub is even shock that they maintain the original Pitch! They are especially shock with Han! Melody fandom is really impress with stray kids too!
I've seen this presentation through other cameras views, and Lee Know doesn't sound like that. I don't Know why. I just love everything about I'll be your man, specialy Han. Hugs
Falsetto is Lee Know signature sounds Skz member said he’s have the best and prettiest falsetto in the group and he’s main dancer and dance leader of skz Which’s surprisedly insane he take that main vocal part Especially this song key is so high even no other idol brave enough to cover this song live Also there’s a fancam version the sounds is quite different from this. Fancam version is more clear since this is prerecorded show especially this is mnet. But fancam ver sounds really good
awe my heart!! i was so proud of this performance, i loved it 120%, i never imagined that any of them would be feeling like they failed afterwards!!! it broke my heart to see him so disappointed in himself even though he did such an amazing job!(they all did)
I really like how you reacted to this performance! Like you pointed out those incredible vocals of them. I agree that It's such a difficult song to cover but they really did a great job giving justice to this song. 👏🏻👏🏻 Hope you react to the original song as well. 💙
The fact that they accepted the challenge to cover a BTOB song, it must have been a lot of pressure on their part. But they nailed it. They did a very good job covering IBYM. Their version is kinda dark and heavy but they owned it. I would appreciate if you'll check the original version of IBYM by BTOB. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-__BFUf_nJl0.html
I watched Kingdom after it ended, but even though I already knew the results, found it nerve wrecking. I agree 100% with what you said, I.N and the boys did great and they made us really proud! I loved the interactions between the groups the most and think that was the best outcome of Kingdom by far. It was so good to see the genuine respect they have for each other. I am a Stay, but now support the other 5 groups as a result. They feel like family. if you have not been able to yet, you can watch the full episodes on Viki, it's really worth while. I have watched some of your previous reactions, but shame on me, even though I loved them, did not subscribe until this one because I generaly don't subscribe to channels. After seing part 1, hit the subscribe button really fast, and the noification bell as well LMAO. It was so awsome to be a part of the live reaction and comments. Thank you for being you!🤘 By the way, one of my favourite songs is Slump, which you already reacted to. I also love Easy, We Go, The Tortoise and the Hare which is very unusual and I think their vocals are best in #Love Stay, but obviously I am a little biased here.
Katriinka there are videos on mnet channel where you can see the same performance with other bands reacting while watching them live, go watch it, you will feel much more proud of them :)
Han x Seungmin’s part really impressive But at the other side, Changbin’s nailed that rap part alone (which it did by 2 rappers of BTOB for the original song) This performance is so breathtaking
i hope i'm not the only one that thinks that the voice crack just made it better, the raw emotion it gives to it is just so cool to me. Innie did an amazing job
i wanna recommend you to watch the performance on kcon of my universe, its their song, who sings is the unit made by in, seungmin and changbin. AND blueprint too, its one of my favorites songs of them and seungmin and han have amazing ad libs on this song
The fact that Changbin at the end did the part of 2 rappers alone and Han and Seungmin did vocals of 4ppl was absolutely stunning and amazing, all the boys did absolutely really did themselves proud this performance
The fact that Changbin rapped 3 times before the ending part where he rapped a verse that is meant for 2 people is something that will forever impress me,the capacity, the voice control is insane.
Han and Seungmin really killed it! They nailed it! I am so proud of them, love their vocals so much! Check out Han and Seungmin`s cover of Day6`s "Congratulations" and Han, Seungmin and I.N`s trio song-Gone away. These songs are so beautiful. And thank you so much for your analysis. Love your voice, it`s so pleasant to listen to))) P.S. Yeah, Lee Know was nervous also bcs he was dancing and he was afraid to step on Han, who was laying on stage. He told it on practice.( But still, I am so in love with his vocal too. And I am proud of my boys, they chose t=such a difficult song and made great jib on stage, I still have goosebumps everytime I watch it again and again))
Stray Kids have Behind the Scenes episodes of their Kingdom performances that includes some of their recording studio time! It starts at episode 00 and goes to 5 I believe. It would be so cool if you could react to those! It shows even more of their preparation for each performance. Along with some of their singing critiques that you do, I think it would be fun to see you react to them just being themselves and having fun preparing for these huge performances!
@@Katriinka I meant a different one. The one I'm referring to is filmed by Stray Kids and Staff and not Mnet. It shows more of them actually preparing. Like Seungmin practicing on his own as well as Han on his own. It just shows another more in depth side of the process of them preparing and training than the Mnet one does. I thought you might enjoy it.
Please please react to I.N's record cover ( memorys of your scent) it came out after the performance, personally I think it was sooooo good it showed a lot of his abilities it's so beautiful as well So if you're interested I recommend to you, also thanks for your reactions I love them so much
I don't know if you know but in the last part where there's han and seungmin singing and chanbing rapping chanbing is rapping a part for 2 people and han and seungmin are singing a part for 4 (if I'm not wrong) so wow
Katriinka may not have been there with us as kingdom happened but damn, looking at her face while watching this performance? *She was there in spirit. She felt the stress that we felt.*
I loved this performance and this reaction so much! Stray Kids woo! Also I have a recommendation, Spark? Performed by “It’s One” the other team from kingdom - when Mayfly performed Love Poem, It’s One did Spark by Taeyeon. Just a suggestion!
