Something that I noticed and loved was the back and forth part w/ IN and Han. The way IN portrayed sadness and Han portrayed anger and when they came together singing that one lyric, it was like the feeling of both being angry at yourself but feeling heartbroken at the same time. And the two emotions clashing against one another.

Our own experience feeds our interpretations of art, right? For me personally it hit home as a queer guy. Especially a guy who I was friends with, fell for, and he obviously had feelings for me too, but once I confessed it became clear that he was too far in the closet to be able to reciprocate. These lyrics speak to that kind of situation really well. I love how open their lyrics tend to be so they can be felt by anyone.

this srsly is just an OST... all friendships shattering due to one sided love is being represented rn, kdrama rolling in my head. - also i like hyunjin's verse coz he says "i unconsciously intimidate you" since the recipient is aware of ur love and now it's difficult to treat it as a pure hang out anymore. as well as Changbin's verse about who to really blame coz he is VERY aware of the intensity and consequences of their feelings, not just to himself but to the other person too...

I really appreciate the way Andy and Jas explain every lyric of stray kids' songs because sometimes the translations do not actually give justice to 3racha's writing skills. I love when you explain some phrases that actually a saying in Korea which gives the non-Koreans greater understanding on the way they used every word to convey the story of the song. I always look forward on your reaction videos on stray kids because it makes me fully understand how exceptional the group I stanning.

I don't remember where they mentioned it-maybe in song camp, but they did say they wanted to write love songs but not in a traditional sense ... this song to me sounds like what you described. Falling for someone with whom you had a friendship with, but struggling with confessing this liking/attraction in fear or ruining the friendship, being selfish by wanting to take the next step from friendship to relationship and unrequited love. The greatest thing about the "love" songs SKZ writes is that the fact that they are so relatable, multifaceted and not idealistic love scenarios (hehehe ikonics where you at?) And that the songs are always based on one side's perspective and never pressuring of the other party. Kind of like the song "You Can Stay", they always write in a way that allows the other party to stay or go, it's their call while expressing their feelings and emotions even if not ideal. Ugh, yes ... they keep getting better and are lyrical geniuses!
