Stray Kids: Felix "Deep End" Reaction 

I think this hits so hard because we're used to having sunshine Felix but this gives us the darker side of his personality/emotions/thoughts. It brings forth emotions of regret, sadness, hope and resignation - really not what I expected when I saw the song was a solo from him but it's beautiful in its sadness...

It's aaalll Felix. He's always had the range, but he's developed better control of it over the years. All of that harmonizing is him with himself. That midrange is where he's always shown the most hesitance and self-consciousness. We've seen him working on it over the years, occasionally shyly sharing his efforts during lives and concert breaks and whatnot. He's used it in a collab stage, as well as occasional moments in SKZ songs that people tend to overlook or misattribute (like in #LoveSTAY). But yeah, that is legitimately his own voice throughout.

Soon after the album dropped he did a funny TikTok to make Stay smile because he didn’t want them crying. It took a few days but now I can listen to it without emotion and crying and really enjoy it.

As an older gentleman who recently had a falling out, this song hit me hard. Outside of the sound of his voice hitting multiple ranges, you can feel the emotions he sent through the song.

Love love love Felix!!!! He has a way with expressing through words. He never fails to surprise and captivate people. I hope he is doing fine and continue to create more songs. Because to be honest, just from hearing him talk in "2 kids and a room", he can already create multiple songs from the words he used there. I love how he doesn't try to hold back when expressing his feelings to the other members. Just like the song collab with Changbin Because I Like You - seems all words are based on what they have both said to each other over the years. So great job on the Deep End, Felix! This Felix's music is just one of my fav of all time. I listen to that music at last 5 times a day everyday. His voice is magical, he is like an angel sent from heaven. Idk how somebody can hate him like why? For what?? AND Like who tf hurt him like WHO WHO??? I wish I could meet him and all the members, that is my biggest dream of my entire life.

This song I could listen to all day. Once you get over the shock that our Sunshine maybe hurting. It gets you in your feels and the harmonization with his voices and the lyrics combined with the piano is perfection. there were no other vocals from anyone else. He harmonized his own range of vocals. Felix has sung in this voice but no one ever thought it was him because of the video. He sung like this in #lovestay song. Felix also shown bits in other songs, Super Board on the couch and in the end of Chill, but we are so use to hearing his deep vocals that we figure it is someone else singing. I think Felix loves the darker side even though he shows us the sunshine. I think that is why he is so fascinated with Changbin because Changbin loves dark. LOL

FELIX ARE YOU REAL

I was glad to see you guys finally react to Felix's song. It really does leave you kinda speechless. It is a very painful song and leaves you as you said who hurt Felix?! For me I feel the same but also, does Felix need some therapy bc those lyrics are realllly deep, no pun, intended.

Only my opinion. Felix had a difficult recovery period after a back injury, a long separation from his family, difficult training before concerts in Seoul in May 2022. At the last concert in May, Felix cried a lot, and Changbin comforted him. They used to live in the same dorm room - Changbin + Felix + Bang Chan. Felix always relied on Changbin, who moved to a different dorm. We have all seen the footage that Changbin posted online. The recording of the song took place after the concerts. Felix wrote the lyrics in the summer, recalling the feelings experienced then. Then Felix felt alone. All this was just inspiration for writing the text of Deep End. Felix has always liked the Joji song" Glimpse of Us" and the La La Land theme (City of Stars). He wrote about it in the BBL. In real life, the friendship between Changbin and Felix remains real. Changbin emphasizes many times that Felix is a very devoted person.

This song had me BAWLING the first time I heard this so I'm with Erin on this! I played it for a friend: they liked it, they were like "good song," but they didn't cry -- and I was like: WHERE ARE THE TEARS! 😂 I love that people are surprised by Felix's higher notes, cause even in regular speaking, he has excellent control over different registers in terms of: he can speak really low, but can also do really high pitched cute voices as JD said in the video!

Felix sang amazingly. I could listen to his tone for a long time. Perhaps it would be better if he sang in Korean so we couldn’t know the lyrics as his multiple tones alone are worth listening to. There is an acapella version which sounds even better. The lyrics are definitely sad and would be good to understand what inspired those lyrics. His multiple tones brings out the emotions of those Lyrics. Melbourne, AU 😊
