I wanted to tell you guys that I have a playlist with all the stray kids mv's in order. From pre-debut until now and I keep adding to it every time they come out with something new. I had the same struggle in my baby stay days. I have been watching from episode 1 and I love the series, I have only been a stay for a year now but it feels like forever and watching the series gives me throwbacks to the times when I first watched the mv's ☺️☺️ I also really recommend watching the prequel highlight on their channel before you start god's menu era. I have added this one also in the playlist with the mv's. The last thing I want to say is that I have a summary with their storyline that explains each era/album/title track and connects the dots. I will add it as after. There are some songs in between that are a OST but they are really worth watching e.g. Neverending story, it's a live performance but they really show their vocals there. It's truly amazing. Oh and I almost forgot, they sometimes have a mv but they don't call it an mv but a performance video or just video but you can just see it as an mv. Stray Kids Universe theory: The members are in a dystopian world where they’re brainwashed into a system that expects perfection. They’re told they’re all different but for some reason they still feel like they’re all the same. In order to break out of that “system” to find themselves, they created their own District. District 9 is a safe place for anyone around the world who feels astray. A Haven where you can be yourself and Step Out of societal norms. The whole I Am mini album series is trying to identify who they are as individuals. (I Am Not, I Am Who, I Am You) So it’s like questioning yourself. If I Am Not who they say I am, then Who am I? The mv for I Am You, can be interpreted in your own way just like many open ended Stray Kids songs but at the end of the day the members had the same goals to reach their ambitions and dreams as one team which led them to take the Hellevator to start their journey together. When they embark the first “key” in their journey, Clé 1: Miroh (Clé is French for key & Miro means maze in Korean meanwhile the “h” in Miroh stands for heaven or hell depending on how their path goes) they enter the maze but when they tried to escape the maze, the hellavator brought them back to the same systematic society that they tried to run away from. So they rebelled and took the Road Not Taken or in other words choosing their own paths instead of “being guided.” Which brings us to the 2nd key, Clé 2: Yellow Wood mini album. Side Effects is the most essential part of this whole Stray Kids journey and the way I viewed Side Effects was like a fork in the road. One path leads to the New World where everything they do is led by the system and guided with comfort but the 2nd path is the hard path to the unknown led by their own actions. These paths turn into 2 universes that chronologically happen at the same time and according to Chan, IN is the “glitch in the matrix” so he’s conscious of both worlds where they take the bus to the New World vs the off-road path, where they experience frustrations and dead ends but comfort each other and stay together despite the challenges. In Levanter they showed both of the parallel universes. It starts off with Stray Kids in their apocalyptic world (where they chose their own path) staring at the door to the parallel world and then the mv enters through the keyhole into the universe to the New World in the same fields you’ll recognize from Hellavator. The word Levanter is translated as a Mediterranean wind and we see the part where they feel the wind in the New World and follow its way through the doorway that parallel Chan is guiding them into. Notice that the members went from one field into another field when they walked through the door. It may represent being at a plateau in your career or life or whatever aspirations you might have. Sometimes people stay at their jobs for a long time and it’s bc they’ve become comfortable and they don’t want to move up in their careers bc they’re happy where they’re at. Which is okay but for Stray Kids they want more out of their careers and their lives so in order to grow they had to let go of that comfort. This explains why IN is “the glitch” bc he’s symbolic for that very reason. He’s the representation of struggling between comfort and growth. Speaking of growth, the reason why the members have cuts on their faces is found in their TOP mv (jap vers.) The members fight against the Mediterranean wind (facing their challenges head on from making their own choices) which explains the cuts on their faces in Double Knot/Levanter and why they’re always found running bc they’re chasing after their goals even if they get hurt along the way. They realized that they didn’t need a “key” to guide them through their journeys bc all they needed was themselves. Which 1) is why they burned the one way ticket to the New World and the Hellavator. And 2) why the 3rd mini album is called Clé: Levanter and not Clé 3, bc there is no 3rd key, they’re the key to opening whatever paves their way to their own successes. As Levanter concludes its chapter in the Clé series by watching the moons collide in the New World, Go Live album/God’s Menu continues where Levanter left off from the other side (apocalyptic universe’s perspective) from the moment the 2 moons collided (explains why the red and white moons are on opposite sides) and two halves of themselves and the universes become one. IN Life repackaged album represents the boys starting a Stray Kids rebellion by entering restricted places led by the system and sneaking through the back door. They Unlock District 9 for everyone not only Stays, to welcome an open haven for all. This all seems like it’s about their journey through the kpop industry. You know? Stray Kids are rising to the top (just like what they wanted in Miroh) and they’re changing kpop by influencing how different they are and breaking out of the established system. Their song Haven concludes the Go Live album, and the lyrics literally say “Step out, do what you want”. Pretty much emphasizing, being your true self. Do whatever you want and live your best life no matter what anyone says. Hence why the repackaged album is called Insaeng which means “one’s life” - Go Live In Life Symbols & more theories: -Peter Pan and the lost boys is a recurring theme in the Stray Kids universe, Stray Kids can also mean “lost boys” and District 9 can be interpreted as skz’s version of Neverland and may also explain why “Captain Hook” is featured in most of their mv’s, as one of the politicians in Miroh, bus driver with the hook tattoo on his hand in Side Effects, security guard in Backdoor, and gangster leader in ALL IN. -In Levanter, IN and Felix’s choreography where Felix stands behind IN like a shadow portrays letting go of your comfort or whatever may be holding you back from your true self. -In Levanter, Felix’s “It’s all good now” can mean “I’m going to follow my heart, I’ll be okay” especially holding the “Broken Compass” in his hand. 3racha created a song called Broken Compass (which was recreated into Mixtape 4) and had inspiration from Pirates of the Caribbean. If you haven’t seen the movie, the main character Jack Sparrow has a compass that people think doesn’t work bc it doesn’t have the typical North, South, East and West. Little do they know it’s a magical compass that is not broken it leads a person to what their heart desires the most. So for Stray Kids, they’re letting us know they’re not following the basic structure of moving up the ladder of success or in this case pyramid (hint hint pyramid in Levanter) to get to the top. They’re following their own paths and doing whatever they want . -Hyunjin is found lost and running into cross roads in Double Knot, TMT, and Astronaut bc he’s a metaphor for uncertainty, confusion, and “not knowing which path to take.” -The bird that flies in Miroh might symbolize “the system” which is also the same bird that flies off of the door to the New World (universe led by the system) in Levanter -The Astronaut mv is the comfortable parallel which explains why they’re so happy and Hyunjin runs into their systematic clones. Like I mentioned earlier, IN is the “glitch” so he sees the struggle Hyunjin experiences in Astronaut and is shown by himself sitting alone with the parallel moons at the end of Astronaut and sitting alone while everyone is running in the TOP mv. -At the end of Side Effects the boys find Hyunjin sleeping, Astronaut could be Hyunjin dreaming? And it picks back up when Chan wakes him up in Levanter. Not the mv itself but the Levanter choreography starts off with Chan “waking up” Hyunjin just like when he woke him up at the end of the Side Effects mv. -The Mirror choreo that’s shown by Changbin and Hyunjin in Levanter is symbolic for their parallel universes which is why the Red Moon and White Moon are on opposite sides in Levanter and in the GO生 trailer. God’s Menu mv: God concept: They’re the creators of their masterpieces Science lab/Construction Site: They construct and experiment w/ genres, lyrics and concepts (God’s Menu concept possibly inspired by Alchemistry by 3racha) Chef concept: Food comes in different flavors just like their music Racetrack: Competition in the music industry credits: Instagram & Twitter: 123racha_gs
Yeah idk who suggested the lyric videos AND the M/Vs but don’t do that. You’d never make it through their discography if you do it that way. Just continue what you’re doing and if you get the voices wrong, so what. You’ll eventually pick up on their voices as you go along
street versions are the worst for trying to figure out who's singing when you don't know their voices fully yet lol but you guys get it mostly right, honestly, they all have such unique voices it won't be long before you really recognize them all individually and anyways I LOVE YOU. Chan says the "I can't sleep" line every time. I would recommend doing the lyric video along with the MVs in these early days when you don't know their voices yet, buut you guy's videos are already so long that might be too much :) lol so just enjoy I guess. This is reminding me though of when I was just discovering the kids, learning their voices and getting hyped on all this good music that I had missed when they first dropped. Fun times. I've been into the newer stuff so much, it feels new again rediscovering these songs with you guys.
14:44 that’s actually lee know’s soft vocals/falsetto during that part. i remember when chan mentioned it the first time on chan’s room because us stays were wondering who was singing at that part of the chorus and we were all so surprised.
there is really something about Seungmin singing and rapping in english, it always gets me, Voices with Seungmin getting those high notes is just heaven 🥺🥺
i recommend checking the new versions of their old songs on the albums skz2020 and skz2021, they re-recorded their old songs and made it ot8 giving the parts of the member that left to other members, and they sound so good
Especially the adlibs. Jisung takes on a lot of Woojin’s adlibs, they both sound so good doing them, but my bias is Jisung, so those versions have a special place in my soul lol. Seungmin and everyone else also get more lines, their voices are chef’s kiss.
@@jaimesantos1170 I personally think Voices sounds amazing either way, Seungmin, Chan and Jisung really suit the vocals in Voices. I kInDa get where you are coming from with Get Cool, but I still think the remaining 8 members did it justice. Just a matter of opinion.

Bruh out of all my times hearing the song Voices.. I JUST realized the "STEP OUT of them voices" part has their catch phrase/intro "Step out, we are Stray Kids" ... So it's like Step out includes the meaning of stepping out of the confusion and following your own voice/dream.
Several times in Question where the initial reaction was 'is that Lee Know' it was, but you guys ended up doubting yourselves cause you saw other members on screen or cause it would be like one line and then another member has the next line. lol. As other Stays already point out street versions are not gonna help you figure out who's singing what :) but overall you got most right
Hyunjin's lazy kind of rap hit really different to me- he became my bias because of it! Not just that kind of rap but the way he also rap rap, it's so just omg- ngl i really miss street version :( ik they can't do it now but i hope someday~ btw they already had an ot8 version of some/almost? of their song from back then albums- I actually really wait for day6 ㅠㅠ but seems like day7 will take more wait but it's okay it's worth of waiting~ enjoy your vacation christy! Omg, 😂😂😂 that was changbin singing in insomnia. I know it's hard to believe, but he can sing very softly. You should really watch changbin singing in masked singer. You don't need to react to it, but just watch it. Or watch skz sing insomnia live.

I prefer this method like they have so many performance videos and mvs and street vers (btw street vers were supposed to be like in different places around the world like there saying "stray kids everywhere all around the world" but because of the situation now they're not doing them in their newer stuff but we LOVE them ) . "I can't sleep" is sung by chan since he has insomnia and I'm pretty sure it was his idea to write it in the first place . I AM WHO is one of my TOP albums of all time
Okayyy so for the main part "I can't sleep" it's Chan. For some reason everyone always underestimates his singing skills. He's king of vocals 😩 I hope that more people can notice his skills ❤
1:29 i love this new format and i do think it would make more sense for you guys. yes, stray kids really spoil us a lot when it comes to content and because they produce their own songs, they have more budget to put towards filming music videos and so every comeback, we stays actually look forward to at least 3 or more music videos; not just for the title track, but for some of the bsides too.
Yall should definitely listen to the color coded versions of these songs lol. They're a life saver when you're first starting out with SKZ. Eventually you'll be able to tell the difference between their voices.

Every album has an intro track. In the I Am series, it's NOT!, then WHO?, then YOU. Similar mini-songs on the Clé series and GO生. Since then, they've had full-length songs as intros: on IN生, they expanded the intro track GO生 from the album GO生 (same name for both) into the full-length Tortoise and the Hare; on NOEASY, it's Cheese. The earlier ones are basically mashup remixes of bits and pieces of the other songs on the album or comprise a collection of lyrical/title references to the other songs and the theme (look at the lyrics in WHO? -- you'll see them reference every song on the album; the "noise, noise" is a reference to Voices). On the full-length songs as of the last couple albums, the intros are a like a thematic summary of the album (for instance, Cheese is a direct diss song to haters and points out the hate they get for their "noise" and their looks and their clothes and everything else, which leads into the next three songs on the album also being versions of clapbacks, before they then move into showing the layers of themselves that haters don't bother noticing).

For the song question, they did it in South Korea, Rock in Japan, Insomnia in New York and the others is in different country!!!

love your reactions so much!!! also just fyi, skz whole discography is 100% witten and composed by 3RACHA and "final arrangement" of the songs are done by few jyp producer and bangchan. while majority of these songs are created by 3RACHA as a group...there are some songs that are completely written and composed by single 3RACHA members for eg: "19", "Sunshine", "Winter Falls", "Slump", "Another Day" all these are made by Han Jisung alone. and "Mixtape: On Track", "Sorry I Love you" are made by changbin alone, "Gone Days" and "24 to 25" are made by chan alone
i've been binging this series since the youtube algorithm first made me aware of it. stray kids is my ult group nowadays and its so exciting seeing them grow in popularity, and seeing other people get to know them and get excited about them. your reactions are so fun and entertaining. also, i realized immediately when i first started watching this series that i had seen your reaction before back when daechwita first dropped. i remember thinking even back then that you guys were so funny and relatable. i didn't subscribe back then but i definitely am now.

Btw, for when you check out songs with color coded lyrics, make sure to watch the ot8 versions of the songs! ^^ otherwise you'll miss some really great vocals from the kids and idk, it feels better for a lot of stays to listen to the ot8 versions :) they have released 2 compilation albums with their old songs rerecorded as ot8 called SKZ2020 and SKZ2021 :D The only songs that don't have ot8 versions are glow, school life and 4419 from the album Mixtape, and Hero's Soup from the album I am YOU, and the intros, every other song has an ot8 version

voices and mia have been a fav favourite song for years, i am who is also one of the most beloved albums. gosh the nostalgia. i cried the first time i heard voices and then i cried again when i read the lyrics
Others have mentioned their ot8 remakes of most of the old songs, and I very much second their recommendation that you listen to those, even if just on your own time. I also recommend you watch and maybe react to the few videos they have for those ot8 remakes: the Boxer special video, the Voice special video (which is gorgeous and shows the full choreo), and the newly released Placebo video (which is Mixtape 1 renamed with the title of the original 3RACHA song it was based on). Yes, they all rap (and sing). In Lee Know's case, he's in the third wave of frequency (Binnie and Han, then Hyunjin and Felix, then Lee Know and Chan, then Seungmin and I.N). He's actually quite good and can hit some nice, hard stuff when he wants, which is an interesting contract to his having one of the gentlest, sweetest singing voices and the acknowledged prettiest falsetto in the group. You're not experienced enough with SKZ to be expected to catch this, but one of the funniest things in the Question video is Han and Lee Know purposely waving the Minsung flag for the entire thing and making the well-known "is Minsung real?!" one of the "questions" to be answered. Also, Lee Know is f*cking _hilarious._ It's just that most people outside the fandom don't have enough exposure or knowledge to notice. But seriously, he and his bone-dry humor are a highlight in this group of clowns. The panting thing they do at the end of Question is something you'll see in multiple other music videos as well as other clips (most recently Lee Know while being the 4th-gen Fish Boy). Whenever you see anyone in SKZ doing that gasping-for-air thing, they're making fun of Han. Always, period. It's a reference to the way he performs his "지킬게" in District 9. Your three "cutey frosted cupcakes" at the beginning of Insomnia are the Savage Line of SKZ. All three of them (Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N) are hilariously brutal when they want to be, just verbal evisceration whenever they feel like it.

Omg no so on questions at the end when they are breathing hard that was a little joke they had for a while making fun of Han for how he ended a song at one of their stage performances. I highly recommend watching funny backstage videos of them. Tbh they are all extremely hilarious and adorable.
