This video actually makes me appreciate the rock version more because at first i didnt like it bc it just sounded so diff than the title track but this vid has made me like it more
Bro Felix’s part at the end sounded WAY better in this version than the original, as well as hyunjins part right after it the silence and then just guitar got me good that time 😍
@@mlbforlife414 LMFAO rock is a very broad genre, there are so many different subgenres of rock, some rock tracks have screams Mostly in metal/heavier tracks, but there are soooo many rock [and even metal] songs that Dont have screams, like SOOO many. it is a HUGE genre
My top 2 in rockstar album is 1) LALALALA Rock Ver. then 2) LALALALA 😁 Even though some parts of the MV matched the Rock Ver some parts also don't match like that part before the chorus the frames matched the sound that's not in the Rock Ver. The Rock Ver. is so well arranged I love it so much I also love the original LALALALA. I kinda hoped they have a video for Rock Ver. but they only have MEGAVERSE full video for this comeback >
Guys. I know this is really random maybe some people noticed or not but at 0:38 the bus says “District 325”. For the stays that don’t know what that means. I’mma explain. Those things stand for is 1 “District” stands for their debut song District 9. And 325 is the debut date.
I’m not sure what it was about the rock version but it’s just so hard to listen to. I think they just added this to the album because it’s called rockstar so they needed a rock song. To me atleast, the vibe of the song is so different from the arrangement, idk what it is but cool cover
Huh? The lyrics align more with the rock version than the original, no?: "Lalalala la lalalala Just feel the rock We let it rock" "Guitar, bass, drums, paint those nails pitch black We gon’ rock rock" Like those lyrics seem weird with an EDM dance sound and not actual rock to me.. but beyond that, the rock version is so well composed... And I say "Composed" instead of "arranged" because Chan literally added so much to this version. He didn't just change the sounds from EDM to metal, but added new melodic lines, drum beats and more... like, if this was a basic "rock" sounding song like a lot of Kpop concepts of Dreamcatcher, ACE, or even Billlie's Ring Ma bell, the I completely agree. But there's a quite a bit of stuff going on with this version that I adore so much more than the typical EDM we usually get from SKZ.. But yeah, just difference of musical taste
@@carkpop sorry I didn’t mean lyrics like the words themselves, I just meat from a non Korean speaking perspective the words and the tone they have sounded out of place with the instrumental. I’m not well versed with anything to do with the technical aspects of music so sorry if I messaged up my choice of words.
@@emperor8804 ahhhh I see... no no, I was just assuming you meant something about the meaning of the lyrics not being "rock" enough or something haha. Everything else is just difference of opinion~ No need to apologize~
I'm from the US and thought the rock version fit the song and mv way better. To each their own. I suspect they made the other version the single because they figured most fans would agree with you. From what I've seen, "rock-star" doesn't mean the same in Korean as what we think of it. The meaning they were going for was actually joy/pleasure, but it is a play on words (like most things they do). So I don't know that it really needed anything. It was just the guys giving Stay a bonus knowing that some of us would love this version.
