Thank you for checking out Stray Kids. They are amazingly talented not just in vocals/ rapping and dance but 3 members write most of their songs way before they are produced. Those members are Bang Chan rapper/vocalist/producer/arranger/songwriter (aka Chris from Australia blue hair in this video), Changbin rapper/producer/songwriter (green sweater), and Han rapper/vocalist/producer/ songwriter ( fluffy white hat). These 3 members are a sub rapper /producer unit we call 3Racha. They produce 99.9% of their own music but also the 1% they don't they are still all hands in with the process. Some of the other members also have songs they have written and helped with producing on occasion. For Maniac 3Racha (BangChan, Han, & Changbin) wrote the lyrics and Versachoi also helped programing and helped as an arranger composer. Manny Maroquin was the mixing engineer and Bang Chan was the recording engineer. 3Racha has been doing this since the beginning of their debut which was March 25. 2018. Bang Chan has a lot of their songs still on his laptop that they have written but not yet produced. Bang Chan has over 180 songs accredited to him so far and Changbin and Han are write below that. Making them some of the youngest in Korea to have so many songs credited to them according to KOMCA (Korean Music Copyright Association). The deep voice guy is named Felix. It is his voice and he has a vocal range of deep or high pitched and can switch in a instant. His actual voice is a low voice but not as deep as he can sing. What gets most people is his deep voice doesn't match his angel looks and sunshine personality. He is the 2nd Australian in the group but unlike Bang Chan he was born in Australia. Another fun fact: Bang Chan trained for 7 years since he was 13 years old, he is the only leader in any group in Korea that got to hand pick his members. In Korea their company either picks the members or puts them through an elimination show where the fans can vote on their favorites. For Stray Kids it was the opposite. They had the members first then went through an elimination show also called Stray Kids to prove they had what it takes to debut. Felix was eliminated because he didn't know much Korean when he moved to Korea at age 17 yrs old. Lee Know (hanging the picture) study and competition in global dance competitions he was also a back up dancer for BTS during one of their Japanese tours in 2017. He was also eliminated because of low confidence during one of the performances. But in the end they decided to give both Felix and Lee Know a 2nd chance and the fans voted to keep them. The members are the ones that named the group Stray Kids and the logo Stray kids was created by Bang Chans own hand writing. Unlike most kpop groups or idols Stray Kids has the most creative control over what they produce and write. They have a lot of behind the scenes of their recordings and producing their own music. Han is so good at writing he can usually write a song in 5 min. One time Bang Chan did a live stream video where he created a song during the stream. Their process is so unique to most of all of Korean groups. I hope you react to more Stray Kids. Everyone is recommending great tracks here, so I'm gonna reiterate all the suggestions, plus some older tracks like Miroh and My Pace. Also, their two most recent albums have some really unique tracks that do some really fun sound mixing like Lalalala, S-class, Top Line, and Cover Me !!

Stray kids tracks are LOADED with ear candy, at this point I'd say it's a signature part of their sound, which is specific to them. It's hard to mistake a stray kids track for anyone else.

Felix (deep voice) has a really nice falsetto too. His range is insane. They debuted in 2018 They are ages 22 - 26 They are unique for several reasons... First, the leader Bang Chan (blue hair; trained for 7 years) was allowed by JYP to hand pick all of the members himself. They were not placed together in a traditional way, by the company. Second all of them are all arounders. They can all sing, rap, dance, produce and write. Third, they have written and produced about 99% of their music. The credits for Maniac are... Lyrics: 3Racha Composers: 3Racha, Versachoi Ppl usually watch the video then go back and read the lyrics because there is always a msg behind it. Lyrics wise, I know they write multiple songs a day. Track wise I'm not sure but I doubt it takes them very long. It just flows naturally for them and they work insane hours. An inside joke in the fandom is that we need to steal Chans laptop because they have been known to create songs but not release them until a couple years later so who knows what he has on there 😂 While they can all do everything they do have 3 different subunits... 3Racha... Bang Chan, Chang Bin and Han which are the main producers. They are always credited as 3Racha Danceracha... Lee Know (he is a former backup dancer for BTS and in charge of leading dance practices), Felix and Hyunjin Vocalracha... Seungmin and I.N While the songs are hype they always have significant meaning to them. Their lyricism is always insane. Since they are so experimental their sound has its own genre and they have a very diverse discography. Example... Gods Menu, Back Door and Case 143 all completely different sounds.

You will love checking out our boys! Even if they have someone else work with them, they are still usually responsible for the majority of whats happening in any given song. BangChan (Chan/Channie) never stops making beats, it's like breathing. The other two members of 3Racha (the producers within SKZ) Han and Changbin (Binnie) are the main rappers you hear. The whole oddinary album is worth a full listen that Maniac was on. I'd actually say all their albums are but you're on Maniac now so I'm sticking to that. Their Maniac tour was the best concert I've been to too. These guys were born to perform and somehow by being so genuine draw you in and engage with the fans big time. For me these guys are #1 of all artists atm

So many good Stray Kids songs! If you want a really unique sound - "Venom". "God's Menu" and "Thunderous" are both amazing. Their two new MVs are "Topline" and "S-Class" both worth a watch too.

I’m so happy by so many stay army here 😊❤ I think the reason as well is these guys dance and sing completely live like bts do, so their live performances really made them stand out! There’s so many songs I’m sure others will recommend but stray kids never disappoint! P.s the leader has a really touching story with how the group was made, a lot of struggle of not finding a group, all his friends getting eliminated for 7 years. He was so close to giving up but the company allowed him to choose his own members which they never do, it’s a very touching story and they were given a competition/reality show before debut.

I'am an Army but I do like other groups like Stray Kids, Seventeen, Blackpink, Les Serafin, TxT, Enhypen, aespa. I don't consider myself a multistan becaused is not like I really follow those groups but I enjoy their music when I come across with it. But from what I've seen, Stray kids compose a lot of their music which I appreciate and they seem to be good people as well as talented I don't like the war that sometimes occurs between fandoms (so I recommend not comparing groups with each other) because I think that Kpop Idols are very hardworking and deserve to earn a place in the industry, it is not easy to stay in the taste of the public nor lead that lifestyle full of many sacrifices and a lot of criticism... so I am glad that more groups are becoming known and more people are enjoying Kpop, there is something for all tastes Regards from Mexico

Great choice for you to check out Stray Kids since they are mostly self produced (and also they are great). They have a lot of tracks like Thunderous and Venom with unexpected elements in the production.

It’s really informative and brings together clips from various “Making of” videos so you get to see their process from 4-5 years ago to more recent. Welcome to Stray Kids and thank you for checking them out! I’m glad you seem to really love their signature sound, which includes a lot of the little effects and sounds you kept pausing and commenting on. Their "signature sound" has become their own genre they've basically created called "mala". They've been criticized a lot for not conforming to the expected or standard k-pop "sound", told their music is "too noisy". If you decide to react to a song called Thunderous, they wrote that in response to those critics. You can guess from the title how that went, lol. They are unapologetic about their sound, and they are all self-produced. They write all of their own music. Most of it is written by a trio -- Bang Chan (the leader), Changbin (lead rapper), and Han (second main rapper) and together they form 3Racha their songwriting/producer team -- point of clarity, even though I call them "rapper", just know they don't have assigned "roles" like many k-pop groups. These guys can literally do it all. Every single member can rap, sing, and dance very well. But, all of 3Racha were considered the "rap unit" when the group was formed. Here is a little info about each member and what they do, in (mostly) order of their main appearance in this video: Hyunjin - (red hair at the very beginning) main dancer, rapper, singer - dancing is his THING. Like, Lee Know Is the lead dancer and had more experience when they began, but Hyunjin is on his own level. If you watch more videos, particularly any of the performance ones where the dancing is front and center, you'll see what I mean. He's also starting to write more of his own songs, which has been neat to follow. Felix (blond guy who says “let’s go” in the start): he's the deep voice in the chorus, and yes, it’s really him. It's what he's known for. (Like, SERIOUSLY know for across the industry.) Raps, sings, and is part of Danceracha, the dance sub-unit of the group. Bang Chan (blue hair, starts the song off) - Group leader, the oldest, the main producer/songwriter, member of 3Racha as mentioned previously. Of note here is that Felix and Chan are both Australian/Korean and speak English fluently. Chan also handpicked every single member. He was a trainee for 7 years before Stray Kids was created. This is a very long time in k-pop, and it's very unusual for one of the big companies to allow a trainee to pick his own group. The next three appear VERY quickly and in the same clothes for much of the scene, so it might get kinda confusing. I.N.(first vocal line in the diner) - the youngest member, and second main vocalist behind Seungmin. The "maknae" or baby of the group. In Korean culture, this means all of the other members look out for him especially, trying to guide and mentor him. Like Lee Know, he's started taking lessons with Seungmin's vocal coach. He's really coming into his own. Although he's the maknae, he's actually one of the more serious and mature members, and sometimes almost seems like the older brother to some of the others, lol. Lee Know (purple hair) - lead dancer, part of the danceracha sub unit, but has been given more and more vocal lines in recent songs, and is taking lessons with Seungmin's vocal coach. His confidence with singing has really grown and it's been great to see. Mastered JYP's core dance moves in only 2 weeks, a record I think no other trainee has broken to this day. Seungmin - (last vocalist in the diner scene) Main vocalist. Has studied extra hard for years to perfect his vocals, taking lessons outside of the training the company provides. Fun fact: he wasn't originally the group's main vocalist, though he was always a part of their vocal line. A 9th member left the group in 2019, and Seungmin had to step in to that role. It's one of the reasons he's worked so hard. He is very, very good. Also gets ridiculously excited whenever he's given a rap line, which isn't often because they like him doing vocals, lol. Han - (guy rapping on the subway or train) youngest member of 3Racha. Amazing rapper, often paired with Changbin in a way where they complement and contrast one another, but also an AMAZING vocalist with the highest range in the group, and an amazing dancer. Because Han is SO outstanding at all three and at songwriting, he is often referred to as an "Ace of k-pop". He also does a lot of the sound ad libs you’ll hear across their signature tracks. He’s just….crazy freaking talented. Changbin - (green hair) lead rapper, second member of 3Racha, also frequents the gym more than any of the others and is one of the best rappers working in k-pop today. He once did 16 different flows in 36 seconds for a song he was collaborating on. He did it on the first take. He is amazing. It's kind of an in joke within the fandom that if Changbin starts a song, you know it's going to hit hard and GO. Hope that helps break down who each of them is. These guys are crazy talented, and the discography is huge, deep, and spans many genres, though their title tracks pretty much all stick with their signature sound. I recommend: God’s Menu, Lalalala, Megaverse, Thunderous, S-Class, Back Door, Venom, Topline, Domino...so many others, but those are a really good start.

Thanks for your honest assessment. I love that you appreciate the production. Their producing unit, 3RACHA, are just composition GENIUSES with Bang Chan making all their beats. Not bad that 95% of their almost 180 tracks are written, produced, and arranged by these guys who are all under 26. I hope we see you react to other Stray Kids tracks, mvs, and performances.

So from what I understand about their method, the 3 members who are the producing unit (Chan, Changbin, Han) write and compose the songs first, then either find a created track that they like or create the beginning of a track themselves, then work with a producer to complete it together. I think it has created a great sense of cohesion to their discography even though they have a wide variety of genres, because they have a lot of compositional/melodic elements they favor that tie all the songs together. They also apparently take a lot of care with the samples and instruments they use and will spend a lot of time finding the perfect sounds and crafting the finished track. Which I think shows in the production value.

Stray Kids are FIRE... Yes that's his Real Voice his name is Felix. They are know for their cool and interesting sounds that are not common music instruments, like the bird sound and a car horn. Venom has the craziest sound in a good way that I can't figure out how or what it is. I wonder if you could. Please more Stray Kids. Gods's Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Venom, LaLaLaLa, Megaverse.

The song was written by: Bang Chan (the leader of Stray Kids), Han (of Stray Kids) Chang Bin (of Stray Kids) and Versachoi. It was produced by Bang Chan and Versachoi. It is my understanding that usually Bang Chan, Han, or Changbin will create a beat and then the three of them will write the song around that beat.

Stray Kids' production is always so cool, glad you chose to do this one. God's Menu is rightfully a classic. Someone else mentioned Thunderous and Venom - both great. As an ARMY I'm really impressed with their cover of BTS's 'Dionysus.' ... and their new one MEGAVERSE too.

You should take a bit to check out the lyrics, as well… they are lyrical geniuses with the plays on words and it’ll help make sense of some of the video (the birds, for example). Everything has a meaning and purpose. I love how intellectual they are about their music.

I'm a STAY and I also recommend watching LALALALA and Venom by Stray Kids and The Rose and One Ok Rock are two other groups to check out if you haven't.

I’d watch the NoEasy trailer (one of my favorites). The album's title, Noeasy, is a wordplay on "noisy"-describing the misconception of the group's music as "noise music"- and "no easy", reflecting the highs and lows of life. According to Bang Chan; "We [Stray Kids] actually thought the term 'noise music' was something that we could use as our own weapon". Almost all of their stuff has crazy cool word play. They were told their music was just noise but their are one of the most creative groups you will find. Personally, I think they are the closest to BTS in regards to talent and creative freedom, along with Ateez. All of them have great lyricist, composers and producers within their groups. 💜🤗💜🤗

more stray kids! ‘3racha’ includes 3 of the members and are the group’s in-house producing/writing/arranging unit. i’m still new to the fandom but i’ve learned so many cool things about them and their work.

A lot of their songs are on my Workout Playlist. Other recommendations- S-Class, Miroh, Side Effects, Thunderous, Back Door, DEEP END (deep voice has a solo song, very layered), and so many more. You could ask your friend Kyle- he would probably give you the best advice. STAY will happily answer any questions though. Some STAY have even made short videos about the trio in Stray Kids that does the core of the songwriting & producing: 3Racha. oh my gosh. I love Last Flight Out and Here In My Heart! It feels strange because now I'm actually a Stay (fandom name of stray kids), in my 30s and a mom to an 8 year old who's also a Stay. And now I'm watching a reaction channel from a former boyband member from my childhood. this is trippy. hahahaha. i guess it just shows that the music stray kids put out is very diverse. I know a lot of other older stays who are in their 30s. some even in their 40s, 50s and 60s. some are even grandmas. anyway, thanks for appreciating the kids and their music. they write their own stuff and bang chan (the leader) even has a hand on sound production. these boys are really talented.

Was going to answer the whole who produced this question, and if his deep voice was his actual voice, but I’m pretty sure you’ll get the answer from the comments. The simplest answer for who produces any of their music is 3racha and sometimes others (usually Versachoi for title tracks).

So glad you're hearing this masterpiece! I'm not a Stay, so I'm not familiar with the production but to me it sounds like an Asian instrument was sampled and distorted, not a voice. I'm curious to learn what it actually is.
