Stray kids are very versatile. They don’t have specific sound because they make all types of music. They are also in my opinion a heavy rap group but they all have amazing vocals to. They produce and write all there own songs so most of the music you hear from them they make them selfs. And they can dance their asses off. I suggest “venom” , “maze of memories”, “gods menu”, “ item”, “complex”. Those are more of the rap songs if you guys would like to hear their slower songs I suggest, “ cover me”, “youthful” and etc. if you wanna know more about the members to let me know and I’ll reply. It takes a while for people to get into stray kids because most people think they just make “ noisy” or “loud” music but once you get to know them better and get their style, there a pretty damn dope group. Also there are 8 members.
You guys will definitely like Gods Menu, Lalalala, Maniac, Case 143, 3Racha, and if you do react to these, me and other stays will recommend more along the way! And yes, This is Stray Kids’ Sound most of the time they like having sharp changes in their music but they can also do different types of music and its all self produced, they have tracks where they sing only, tracks where they only rap and solo tracks too. I used to listen to metal before kpop and I feel like Stray Kids opened up new paths for me to follow related to music. If you guys react to a guide you guys will see that they are very different from what they act and look like on their music videos! i feel like you guys will like this group!
I appreciate you guys genuine reaction. I don't love everything Stray Kids does, but I appreciate the fact that they experiment with their sound, and they are self-produced group. They are very talented. Megaverse was probably not the best song for your very first one. Gods menu, Thunderous, Case 143, Maniac, Vemon, Easy. Also slower songs were you can hear more vocals. Mixtape Oh & Sorry I love you. Tablo is the leader of Epic High, they are hip hop, and have heavily influenced so many artist. Tablo did a song with RM (All day) that's how I got introduced to them for real. Even though I had heard Epic High mentioned over and over again. Fun fact Leeknow from Stray Kids was a backup fancer for BTS for a long while, and he is a beast!
Definitely as a recommendation, to get exposed to their music, try out their popular tracks which are mainly title tracks. Straykids brand is mainly being loud and reckless but it really does come together. They do have slower songs and more melodic tracks definitely check out the rest of the album. They also compose and produce all their songs too 😋
I can understand where you guys are coming on for your first straykids reaction megaverse or straykids in general can be a lot to take in .Appreciate your honest and pure reaction. You just need more time that's all hopefully you will come to know and love then more soon.
I think if you find megaverse confusing and too much you might not like most of stray kids title tracks. They love to make as complicated music as they can and the MVs reflect that. Maybe Thunderous and Maniac are a little more structured. Or Back door. Overall they live to surprise their fans. On their previous title (s-class) they inserted a whole verse of 90s classic hh out of nowhere. As for incorporating English - one of the three main producers is a native English speaker. They play with similar sounds and the fact that syllables in Korean have many meanings. I would say that they have made the mixing languages into a specific rhyme scheme art. There is a song - Venom that is called Geomijul (spiderweb) in Korean. They have fun with the fact that it sounds like "got me" and the song is about toxic relationship you cant get out of. There are many examples like that. The producing unit is called 3racha pronounced like sriracha just coz there are 3 of them and they make spicy music. Stray kids love the wordplay. As for sound - they use many different genres of music but EDM, trap and hiphop is the basis. I am very used to it now but before listening to them I always thought of EDM being the umc umc rave music without any meaning. Now one of the most clubby songs (Miroh) is also one of my favourites.
Yes. They are hip hop and EDM but they take a lot of risks in their productions. So if they don't like something so typical of SKZ, I simply think there's no point in recommending more, because I doubt they'd like other songs if they found this one confusing.
You will find a lot of KPop bands BTS included mix English in their songs mainly to appeal to a worldwide audience and Straykids have two Australians in their mix as well so some of their songs are done purely in English as well as Japanese to appeal to those fans as well. They have just won a Billboard and VMA this year and performed on those shows as well as notched up 4 consecutive no 1 albums on the Billboard top 200’s so are quite successful. Oh by the way the title of the song is MEGAVERSE you might get more views if you have the right song title up.

They use a lit of English in their songs because two of the members first language is English (it's the two that started the song, they are aussies), and the band was also intended for an international audience to begin with.

I truly LOVE this song but I also feel it isnt a song you would introduce them to someone with. I feel like LALALALA or Topline would be better picks or even Maniac would be a better pace for yall.
Since Korean is a totally other language they use their sounds to rhyme so when it’s translated it won’t exactly rhyme in other languages because the sounds they have for those words are different sounds than how the words in English or other languages
Felix and Bangchan are Aussies (the two opening vocialists). So technically, their native language is English. If you want something a little more single structure and smooth, I'd recommend Red Lights. It only has two of the members in it, but it's just so dang good... Its about obession and how toxic it can be.
If the korean language switching throws you off they have a few English versions of their tracks . I specifically like domino and Superbowl. Both sound good regardless of language. Korean released , Hall of fame , item, god's menu, venom, lalalala, collision, freeze, domino in Korean, double knot, easy, 3racha, taste, etc. But the stray kids sound in general is unique to them the switches in the beats make it less mundane. They write and produce all their music

Stray Kids have a very UNIQUE taste of music . Most of their mv's are chaotic and that's what makes them stand out ✨🔥 Keep this in mind . if you are going to react to other groups , get BTS out of your mind because you'll find yourself comparing other groups to them . Take this advise from someone like me who was only a BTS fan but turned out to be a multi-stan 🙂 If you feel like they are not for you , then don't force yourself to like their music .
Their music isn't usually like this to answer ur question.this isnt my favorite either. But i can promise you it gets better. They're rap heavy. You should watch 3RACHA by 3RACHA ( 3RACHA is stray kids producing team) theres only 3 of the members in it. Its more drill beat.
Hmm, as for suggestions for stray kids: easy, double knot, case 143, victory song, Domino, maniac, thun, Christmas evel, la la la la,miroh, cheeae. Their are so many amazing songs that they have, Megaverse doesn't really represent their style on a whole. They like to experiment and step out of the box in every way. So I would wholeheartedly hope and recommend that you do more stray kids. Stay's will be unendingly appreciative of it. ❤❤❤
one of their songs ITEM is in the playlist for NBA 2K24 so maybe try that? if you want chiller songs i recommend songs like collision. Also please do not listen to the ppl recommending songs like case 143 or Lalalala because if you didnt like this song i doubt you'll like those, thank you for the honest reaction.
-this is a great song but if you’re a new listener or even a casual listener it might not make sense to the sound you think SKZ has but it fits incredibly well with their new album Rock Star it also fits in with their previous songs on other albums. Some of the albums and videos tie together with a storyline so it can confusing to hear and see.
StrayKids are Rap and EDM heavy group. They have a unit (3Racha: BangChan, Changbin, and Han) who write, compose, and produce almost all their songs. They do have more vocally centered songs for sure. They are 8 talented young men and they all sing, rap, dance, act and compose themselves despite their individual talents: Two of the most talented rappers in the industry (Changbin and Han) and insane beats led by Bang Chan and 3racha (pre-debut trio of rap and producers) The most famous deep voice in the industry, Felix. Maybe Stray Kids isn't for you if you feel "confused". However, you are the first RU-vidrs who don't understand their music but as you said you listen to the soft music of BTS who actually do Kpop, instead Skz have created their own musical genre which is probably not suited to your taste. As for the lyrics in English and Korean, two of the members are Australian and their peculiarity is wordplay (for example they can say a word in Korean that has a different meaning in English. They do it on purpose). You misunderstood the meaning of Megaverse, they're not saying now is their time to shine (they've been making music for almost 7 years) they meant that once you enter their Skzverse you can't get out (referring to those who understand their music ).

Stray kids make some different music. Since yall are more used to r&b and hip hop you should check out "Easy" or "3racha"-by 3racha (their producer/rap subunit) as these two have heavy rap sounds or even "Victory Song". "Venom", "Manic" and "Gods Menu" or even "S-class" are some of their more popular songs

Firstly: if you can speak more then one language, you know that sometimes you jump between them from time to time in a normal day. And many KOREANS DO SPEAK MULTIPLE LANGUAGES. Thats why many Korean...no... Asian, Mexican, African singers jump between languages i their songs. AND IN MY OPINION : it show how diverse they are, and the brain power that goes in not only writing but singing and ripping. showing how talented they are. And it does not that a lot of brain power to know what a song is, without knowing the language. You can know when a song is sad, happy, etc, just by listening. And if you dont get it the first time, its okay to listen again. Focus one the lyrics, then the beat, then the video and all of it together. So... when someone is able sing, rap effortlessly between languages and still keep the flow, stay on beat and keep the meaning the same.... just give props, then its due. Secondly: its okay not to like a song or an artist... but its not okay to say "ooh coz this artist songs are slow, so this is throwing me off." This shows how one dimension your view is. There is a reason why there are genres and themes to everything in this world. Its either its your thing or not and that's okay, but dont compare the two. Thirdly : SKZ do not a specific sound, they are understand that they are 8 different people that coming together to make a group... and the beauty of them is that they embrace every sound they have come across, and are able to blend that into one seamlessly by themselves from the beginning. And thats okay if thats not your cup of tea but not alot of people can do that. PS: at list know where the artist is coming... BTS is Korean, so is SKZ and many in both group's speak morning then one language and many of their songs have two languages in them. The difference is some of SKZ members are Australian, Korean so they tend to to have more blend in a song.

BTS and SKZ are very different. BTS is more smooth R&B type and Stray Kidz is a lot more harder with a rock/techno vibe. I love them both, but Megaverse is definitely not the best introduction video. Maybe Maniac or God’s Menu till you get the feel. Tablo is a famous Korean rapper from a group called Epik High a big inspiration for Skz and BTS.
Stray Kids music might not be for you. They are loud. Make noisy beats and instrumentals. But they have a ton of songs and the slower stuff you might like. Id suggest you listen to their b sides or react to other groups. I personally dont listen to kpop but Stray Kids is outside of Kpop for me. Their raps n flows go insane. Their vocals are amazing too.
Pls react to a guide to the 2023 StrayKids by TeaNoSuga. STRAYKIDS don’t really have one sound. They’re the most versatile group in the 4th gen. And the reason y’all don’t understand is because BTS barely uses Korean in their music anymore which takes away from the literal “K-Pop” culture.
