So basically what they meant by “gone days” was like all of these older people are constantly telling me back in the day I was like this and I did this to get there. But skz are saying it’s the new generation now so you constantly telling me about what you did “back in the days” isn’t gonna help me, your days are the “gone days”. That’s what they meant by stop telling me “back in the days” they aren’t trying to replace the phrase lol.
Also, to add on from what stray kids was trying to portray, gone days sounds like ggondae which is korean slang for a usually older person who lives in the past and forces the past down new generations throats.
Actually there is a play word on this song, the pronunciation of "gone days" is similar to "kkondae" it's a korean slang word for the old people who always say no or control us to be what they want it's like "ok boomer" thing,,
Kaiser King yeah pretty much, it can be used in both ways but still portrays the same thing. To be more specific, kkondae is old bastard and ggondae is more specific. Both can be used in the same way though.
@@dior_3710 huh.. kkongae and ggondae aren't two different words lol people just romanize it differently. its the same thing they are both spelt as 꼰대. i get what you mean tho its generally used as slang for "old bastard" but they mean it in a way more of like what boomer means lol
The horse comes from a popular phrase “라떼는 말이야” which translates to "latte is horse" this phrase is popular because is sounds a lot like "나때는 말이야" which translates to "during my time" which is something often said by "kkondae"
They aren't trying to be reminiscent of memories from the past, "back in the day" wouldn't make sense here, they're talking about how the older people sometimes are over-controlling and how the new generation just wants to break free and be themselves while also taking responsibility Also the title "Gone days" is a play on words because in korean the pronunciation is similar to "kkondae" which is a slang to the old people who wants to always be in control (parents/teachers/any authority in general) Also fun fact: when Bang Chan was making the song, jype apparently heard it and told him "did you make the song while thinking of me?" lmao
K World yeah I saw that episode when they were making this song and he imitated JYP. And do you know the part when they were making Felix’s part, they played it and started laughing 😂
They're not talking abt gone days like nostalgic days .. but they're talking abt the companies that don't give this new generation the chance to be themselves and do what they want weither music or directions that they want to take
This song has a way deeper meaning to it, as usual with stray kids songs. It always amazes me how they talk about such deep mature stuff at such a young age. Groups like Stray kids and BTS are really so amazing because they care about the meaning of songs
they're in a series on the mu:fully channel called B-side and they're showing snippets of unreleased songs. there's some solos, some unit songs, there's a lot of new content that they haven't released and Gone Days was one of them
꧁BübbłęžTrēē꧂ honestly, even if you don’t know how to read or understand it you should AT LEAST be able to recognize it 😭 he’s been a kpop reactor too long to not know sksjsk
Many people won't get the meaning of the song, lols, most of stray kids songs really are deep that people with shallow thinking wouldn't get the meaning of most of their songs, mostly M.I.A.
Deadpool The Cat this one is literally straight forward there is nothing to think deeply about. The only way people wouldn’t understand it is if they don’t read the lyrics.
@@El-vq8tx This might be the most straight foward song i've heard. Even the video kinda spells it out to a certain degree. I get that being on camera can be stressfull, but i would think most reactors get used to it at some point...
It reminds me of my highschool days😁😁😁 "GONE DAYS" but our batch history remain forever!!!😁😁😁 Btw I think there's a choreo coz in m;fully they're practicing for Gone Days choreo...
Stray Kids: the rappers can singers, the singers can rap, everyone can dance, Felix's voice can paralyze everyone who can hear and Chan does the work of 20 men to take care of his boys.
The song’s name equates to “boomer” it’s not them telling you “back IN THE day.” It’s more when the person telling us that how and what we are doing is wrong, and that they know better....
please please react to GIANTS from true Damage !! Its an animated music video and its soo good omg Actually everyone reading this comment should watch it now!! it’s something you should have seen once
i love the fact that when bris likes something he starts laughing, like man i feel you ++ i bet your bias is felix. bris deep voice enthusiast, and i feel you here as well 🥺✋🏼
So in every Stray Kids album they have a b-side track called mixtape. This is the 5th one. It's a song where all the members participate to write their lyrics and they usually all together convey a personal message. Because of this, mixtapes are CD only which is why you can't find them anywhere else. The only place you can find them is on RU-vid, and each one has a music video.
If I had a bad day I just watching your videos even if I didn't want to hear the kpop songs you make me smile I don't know why! You're just cute ... I'm watching you from Saudi Arabia🇸🇦💚. You make me happy💚! Thank you and love you (I do not speak English but I hope you understand me, have a good day)
Thank you for your reaction to Gone Days! As you can see, each member represents todays teenageers/young adults personality like music geek, prankster, even a STAY 😂 Anyway, would you please react to Boyfriend's Janus or Witch for your flashback series? They are old Kpop boygroup but they had very unique concept especially there are twins within the members. You'll guess which is who 😆
Actually gone day sound like 'gondae' in Korean which is a really familiar slang to talk about adults or older generation who think they are right because they are older it's not really the equivalent of "Ok boomer" but it have the same meaning :)
gone days is sounds like "ggondae" in korea. This becomes a hot topic now. 꼰대 refers to the person who is haughty and thinks that they are more important than other people but 꼰대 traditionally means is older people. Its like a korean ver of "ok bommer" idk if this is accurate but this is the only thing i know. Correct me if im wrong 😌
You should def react to other videos and their vlives and just more of them they are hilarious when not performing on stage chan and felix you should watch when felix got eliminated and what chan said to him it hits deep and when they performed in Australia
NINETY ONE - MEN EMES NINETY ONE - BARI BILED NINETY ONE - Bayau NINETY ONE - E. YEAH NINETY ONE - ALL I NEED NINETY ONE - Yeski taspa biyi NINETY ONE - Ah Yah Mah
so like- idk if you've noticed now, but that one missing member who you thought was the horse dude was woojin. but he wasn't actually the horse dude. he recently left the group, so stray kids will be continuing as 8 now. so yeah:'))
But seriously, “ If you work hard like I did, you can be successful in 10-20 years?!” Sorry old man, they are successful now. Just trust them. Also, Min-ho had the Light Stick, Felix had his Freckles Out and Chris is GORGEOUS! 🙏😏🤪🤟🥵🥰💞 💙🦋💙
Someone: You're wrong I'm right No one: Not even Felix's egg: Not even "mate stop procrastinating": Me: *Actually according to Han Jisung of Stray Kids in Their song in titled "Gone Days" "You think you're right no body's right only opinions"*
Suggestions from stray kids fans; when react to stray kids you should react to the lyric and the beats because like seriously 99.99% song of stray kids song was made by themselves (3racha, consists of bang chan, the leader. Changbin the fastest rapper in 4th gen and han jisung that in charge in rapping and vocal, like seriously this han was all rounded kids). Some of their choreography also was made by themselves which is dance racha (lee know, hyunjin, and felix). This stray kids group full of talented with a very tiny2 kids that love to play all the times, and appreciate all the small things that they achieve. Lots of youtuber doesn’t know this small thing and just react without background check. Its 😔
I think the hangul in the english subtitles are made intentionally since they also made this in other MV's. Maybe they just want to keep up their korean culture I don't know but I kinda like it ~ Stray Kids Everywhere All Around The World ♡ but still korean ;)
Gone days sounds like “ggondaes” which means old grumpy stubborn men and they’re just using a word spin off and telling old stubborn men to stop bothering them hence the lyrics “this is the new generation” it’s just a spin off on words
I've seen other comments, but just in case I'll remind you one more time that there's 8 members now (instead of 9) because, sadly, Woojin (main vocal of SKZ) left the group and JYP Ent. as well (in simple words). I think it's important for you to know cause I don't think you've noticed or knew about it or talked about it (or maybe I missed it). But yeah. Still love your reactions, keep going!
