hi mel! don't know if this is already in your list, but they also did a roleplay the same day they did the haven special video. they actually have this stay company thing going on just like the family roleplay. the last two eps of skz code is the continuation. just wanted you to know since i think it would be fun to watch those together! also wanna add some interesting facts for you! changbin's line in haven, "don't go anywhere today, just stay with me" is a reference to what hyunjin said when he cried so hard in that one concert. it's so cute how he was holding onto hyunjin in the special video during that line. haven is a song for stays just like star lost. they made those songs hoping to sing them with the crowd but sadly they haven't been able to do that yet because of covid. just imagine what it would be like when that finally happens! aaaand did you know that if we weren't called stay we would be called haven? chan actually suggested that as our fandom name. isn't that just so precious? (I loved the Lee Know side track, haha. We all wanted to see him planche. I am always so impressed with that sort of strength and skill, like what you have!) 타 is one of my favorite hype songs and i also love how hype Bang Chan is for it. Need to check if it's on my workout playlist. What i really am hoping for in the next couple of albums is a Rap Unit ballad (or at least a vocal focused song) and a Vocal Unit rap. The Waiting for Us and Muddy Water units just swapping styles for a song. They're all so capable of writing and performing either type of track, it would just ..idk... Make my life. Haha.

This practice was the first time I got an easy full shot of it, and I was shocked because I hadn't noticed before that it was a canon! But I timed it, and it's perfectly broken into sixteenths across that one beat, and each set of dancers is in sync with their partner. So I went back and watched the stages, and yeah, it's there too. And it's in the zombie dance practice. And they never do that timing on the first drill spin, but always do it exactly this way on the second. So yeah, it's definitely deliberate, and I _love_ it. I wish the stages showed it more. - Yeah, the RM is just a connection to me, not BTS. 😆Any pronouns are fine so long as somebody's not being a d1ck ("ok, then I'll call you attack helicopter" or whatever -- the standard uncreative a$$hole response). I appreciate you not having assumed! - I know there's tons of songs you haven't seen/heard yet, but I'm glad you checked out 타. It's not their deepest or most powerful or whatever song, but I've never seen anyone not enjoy it, especially that choreo. 😄 - 49:00 It's not fry in the form people tend to think of, which is the speech-pathology/let's-criticize-young-women relaxed-voiced sense. That's basically at the lowest part of the voice. However, there's also stuff like fry screaming -- one of the ways metal screamers scream without blowing out their voices. It's a type of screaming where a controlled fry effect is deliberately incorporated rather than being a result of simply relaxing and dropping everything, so it doesn't get included in the general concept of fry, despite being related. Everyone's voice is different, but I'd categorize what Hyunjin does there as a high/upper-register fry scream. Whereas Felix at the beginning of "Victory Song" is a great example of what would be considered actual fry. (A grain of salt all around because people will pathologize anything they can and insist there's only one version -- and it's the "bad" version -- if it's something they personally don't like, especially if it's associated with certain undesirable elements like, say, teenage girls.) - Blueprint's aesthetic is soooo gorgeous, right?! Along with vids like Levanter and Scars, it's easily one of their most aesthetically beautiful videos. - Blueprint is also one of the sources where it's easiest to notice the Hyunjin-with-wings concept that recurs throughout SKZ's videography. - Yeah, SKZ-Code eps 10-12 are all part of the same ongoing setting and situation because it lasted for a couple days. Otoh, ep 13 is a standalone, so at least when you get to that one, it'll be much shorter for you to work through. 😃

OMG QUEEN BLUEPRINT!! Still my fave SKZ MV to this day! Everything about it is just so aesthetically pleasing and the song is such a bop. I'll be honest, TA wasn't my fave when I first heard it but once I saw the choreo, I was sold! I don't give enough love to Haven but I'm pretty sure Chan said it was meant to be a concert song, so I'm sure it goes off once it's performed live. I love their dance practices bc they always have the most unique formations and interesting dance moves yet the music shows never actually capture any of it bc they want to zoom in and all the way out and the most random times lol Also, I was in Chan's live on Sunday and I think he was referring to "Waiting For Us" when he said there was no autotune in the finished product. For Chan's comment about the autotune only being used in the guide and not the actual song I think he was only referring to Waiting for Us because he was playing the vocal guides for Waiting for Us when he said it. He said the only reason he had those vocals auto-tuned was to get the track through the selection process by the company, but I think it's different for Lonely St. I definitely think there is autotune used in Lonely St. just for stylistic effects because the clip where I.N. was recording definitely sounded like the autotune was purposefully meant to stand out and be used in the final track

- The captions calling Seungbin "꿀멍" cracks me up. - Yeah, I.N's type of beauty is going to last him a long time. Those cheekbones are still going to be striking when he's 70. - Hereby opening the petition to get you to go be their nutritionist. Because the constant and normalized disorded eating k1lls me every single time it comes up -- and it comes up all.the.time. - Yes, Lee Know reminds people to eat nearly every day on bubble (which I realize you see firsthand). And yes, a lot of people have said they find it helpful/supportive if they're dealing with eating problems or disorders. That said, no, attributing it to him doing it specifically to help with that is sweet but illogical, though I understand why people do so. He himself engages in the same problematic eating behaviors as most of the other members and has much of the same lack of knowledge (or at least mental connection) about actual healthful eating. For example, basically every single one of them thinks eating at night is what makes them bloated some mornings, rather than that it's _what_ they're eating (very high amounts of sodium, generally), so they just...don't eat. They're demonstrably uneducated/miseducated about food health science, and that includes Lee Know. I suspect the reason food is his go-to topic on bubble is because it's something that reliably comes up every day, so it's a no-brainer source of comment fodder, and it at least seems like a neutral topic, so it's extremely unlikely he can get into any sort of conflict or scandal or accusation situation -- because he has to know as well as everyone else that some people watch their content for _anything_ they can misuse to damage them. They do it to Chan. They tried it on Felix just a few weeks ago. Basically, generic food statements are a daily subject with a really low risk of getting him in trouble or drawing unwanted attention. With, of course, the added element of the "Have you eaten" type of question being such a culturally common way of expressing care about someone's health/well-being. - Iirc, there are "nutritional consultants" or whatever of some sort available within the company. But it's kpop; disordered eating isn't just normalized, but sometimes forced. I mean, Chan used to sneak food to ggs when he was a trainee. They still talk about him voluntarily setting himself up to get in trouble because a gg (I _think_ it was Twice) was being _forbidden to eat,_ and after they (and I think he) went around and STOLE food coupons, he cashed them all in to get them food on the sly and then kept his mouth shut and took the blame and let himself get disciplined for overeating. He also acted as a distraction for a gg (I think it was Twice again) when they needed managers to be drawn away while the girls sabotaged the scales they were forced to use for daily weigh-ins. In other words, the company might or might not technically have nutritionists somewhere, but if they do, they're there to benefit the company, not the idols. As in general society, the guys are a little less restricted than the girls, but the pressure is still there. We've actively seen several of them dieting and food restricting. Look at Hyunjin or Seungmin and tell me that, even just based on BS fake-science standards of thinness=health, they should ever have been hugging each other on a couch and "staying strong" so they wouldn't commit the sin of tasting a bite of the birthday cake in front of them. Felix has not infrequently talked about the, like, handful of grapes he's eaten for the day or whatever. None of them recognize how miseducated they've been about food; it's all perfectly normal to them, per their many comments regarding food and eating...or not eating. Sorry, this is one of the things I hate most about the industry. It shreds my heart and soul every time the subject comes up. - Han is the "country mouse." - I hear it and sing it as "f*ck it all" every single time. We all know that's what he meant. 😆

auto tune is something attached to the mic (like what chan was using in the mayfly rap stage) while vocal tuning is something done in post production and they sound very different but your confusion is 100% understandable!!they use them both for aesthetic anyways. i don’t think i explained that well😭
