A couple of fun facts about this performance 😌 that year Stray Kids released their song God´s Menu, it was a hit from the start but they weren´t even nominated for any award (which was weird and disappointing for them and for us Stays). Skz wasn´t supposed to attend the ceremony and with a little time to prepare they told the boys that they´d be attending and performing to promote the Kingdom: Legendary War Show, so they prepared this performance and nailed it (it was a slap in the face bc it was one of the most viewed). 3 groups presented their performances as Greek gods: The Boyz represented Zeus (white color), Ateez represented Hades (black color), and Stray Kids represented Ares/god of war (red color). They were fighting for the crown!! There´s a Triangle dance with 3 of the best dancers in each group it was awesome!! You should react to Kingdom 😉 all the groups did a great job on their performances, it´s so much fun to watch!! 😄

Changbin is a big gym fan, he literally wider in shoulders than all of them, Han on the other hand have insane slim waist and "anime legs" (he extremely clumsy off stage. 😅) maybe like that you manage to remember them sooner🫶 after 1 week i started to recognize them by faces (hair color distracted at first) and now i know their voices - simpliest method 🤌

Fun fact about Michael Jackson and Kpop: The modern model of kpop (the one you've seen, with the training for a few years under a company to be good at all aspects of performance and debuting) was arguably started by the producer Lee Soo-man (founder of SM Entertainment, one of the Big Four companies) after he studied in the US, especially after he saw Michael Jackson perform. He said MJ was one of the biggest "superstars of the MTV generation", and wanted to recreate the success of the Jackson family (who trained since they were kids to be performers) in South Korea. SM is literally modeled after Motown (the Jackson 5's company), and SM have used a handful of people who have worked with MJ himself. And since SM is a massive company in the Kpop realm, that influence has spread to the other companies as well! That's a big reason why the King of Pop is so obviously a massive inspiration to Kpop now!

When you click "Read More" underneath my initial comment, I typed out a full guide to KINGDOM: LEGENDARY WAR 2021, how it works/how it's set up, which groups are competing, and an overview of each episode/round aside from how points work because honestly it's a tad confusing (Round 3, part 2 being an exception since it was easy) You definitely need to check out all of the Kingdom: Legendary War performances but keep in mind RU-vid seems to copywrite most of the Kingdom Performances so I would recommend either pausing a bit more, slightly changing something about the audio or possibly just blurring some of it but on Kingdom, you'll also be able to meet ATEEZ which is another powerhouse group that I highly recommend. Through Kingdom, ATEEZ and Stray Kids became friends, especially Wooyoung(Ateez) and Changbin and instead of just watching all of Stray Kids performances, I would just watch all of the episodes of Kingdom because you'll also find variety show content where they play games and compete against one another. The groups all learn about each other as well and you'll even be able to see the process of how they create, produce, change, plan, and choreograph the songs and the performances that you see. How does Kingdom work?: The way that Kingdom works is 6 popular/trending K-Pop boy groups compete through 4 rounds of performances with the last round being broadcast live The groups are: BtoB(pronounced B to B) iKON(pronounced Icon) SF9(S - F - 9) The Boyz (The Boys) Stray Kids(You already know) ATEEZ (Ay - tease) The overall final ranking will consist of the following criteria: Self-evaluation points (25%) Experts' voting (25%) Global voting (40%) Performance video view count (10%) What's the prize?: The winner of the show will get a reality show specially for the winning boy group, plus a "Kingdom Week" special shows. Here are the stages/rounds in order and a description of them: Introduction Stage - 100 second performances(Episode 1): Each group will perform 100 seconds of one of their hit songs(that have won 1st place in a music show) that will best express themselves as a group Round 1 - To The World(Episode 2 & 3): Each Group will perform one or two of their hit songs rearranged and different from their usual stages of the song(s) Round 2 - Re-Born(Episode 4 & 5): The 6 groups are paired with another group and they exchange songs, rearrange them into different styles and perform them These are the pairs: iKON and The Boyz SF9 and ATEEZ BtoB and Stray Kids !!!INTERMISSION!!!(Episode 6): The 6th episode was essentially a break from the competition. A total of 40,000 points will be awarded in this round Round 3 - No Limit Part 1(Episode 7 & 8): The 6 groups are combined into 2 units of 3 groups(Ateez got to choose which 2 groups they were paired with) who will split into 3 categories(Rap, Performance, and Vocal) and perform/compete against each other; a total of 15,000 points will be distributed evenly amongst each unit Apologies if that's a bit confusing- here's a better way to describe it: The 2 newly formed & temporary groups: iKON, The Boyz, and SF9 -> It's One Ateez, Stray Kids, and BtoB -> Mayfly Rap Units(5,000 points): It's One - Bobby (iKON Lead Rapper), Sunwoo (The Boyz Lead Rapper), Hwiyoung (SF9 Lead Rapper) Mayfly - Hongjoon (Ateez Lead Rapper/Leader), 3Racha (Stray Kids Lead Rappers/Producers Bangchan, Changbin, and Han), Minhyuk (BtoB Lead Rapper) Dance/Performance Units(5,000 points): It's One - Donghyuk (iKON), Juyeon (The Boyz), Taeyang (SF9) Mayfly - Wooyoung, San, Yunho, Yeosang, Seonghwa (All from Ateez), Felix, Lee Know, I.N.(All from Stray Kids), Peniel(BtoB) Vocal Unit(5,000 points): It's One - Ju-ne, Jinhwan (iKON), Chanhee/New, Sangyeon (The Boyz), Inseong, Jaeyoon (SF9) Mayfly - Jongho (Ateez), Seungmin (Stray Kids), and Eunkwang (BtoB) Round 3 - No Limit Part 2(Episode 8 & 9): The second part will be back in individual groups, with a total of 25,000 points to be distributed, in the same way as the other rounds. However, for the idol group's self-evaluations, each group can only vote for two teams, instead of three in previous rounds. Round 4/Final Round - Who Is The King?(Episode 10): The six boy groups will each perform a newly produced song live on the final episode which was released digitally on May 28th, 2021 at 12:00 KST Even if you don't record a RU-vid video, RU-vid series, or Playlist about this show, I highly recommend that you do watch it because it will introduce you to even more groups that you may enjoy aside from Stray Kids.

if you try to identify them by hairstyles or even body types (in the early days, they're less similar now), you might get mixed up on their appearance. they switch up hairstyles every comeback cycle (so at least about twice a year). if you watch with the intention of recognizing them individually, trust me you will. esp since you've seen the guide now. i've commented it before, i think, but you should also check out interviews or clips from their reality shows to get to know the faces and personalities. i personally think it's the easiest way. you could also get to know skzoo, their mascots. each character is designed with the members' most recognizable features in mind. (leebit has lee know's teeth, jiniret is tall like hyunjin, fox.ny smiles like i.n., etc. you can watch a guide introducing them.) skzoo have music videos where they're in the same dance formation as their skz counterparts. if using skzoo helps, you can look at those, then back at the original and pick out the member you're trying to recognize. (they also come out as costume mascots at fan meets, and are usually standing with their counterparts.) it's probably a less popular method for memorizing them, but it helped a little for me and a lot for someone else I know.

Pretty much the entire modern K-Pop industry is modeled off Michael Jackson, from the clothes to the dance moves and vocals. They found a winning formula and have adapted it to suit their entire industry.
