Through the fire and the flames of hatred towards his Omen curse, Morgott's dedication to protecting Leyndell never wavered. He may not have been the king that they wanted, but he was the one that they needed.
Kinda wish that Morgott had like 15% more hp, you usually just melt him when you get to him I guess it kinda makes sense, you have to be powerful here and demolish him to show how far you've come since the first encounter with him but the fight is so good I wish it would be longer
It's a habit of mine to leave legacy dungeon for last after I completely the open world content outside. I practically melted Morgott's HP when I fought him at lv 130
Well technically for his point in the game he has a lot of HP, 10,000, but the problem is most of his defenses are literally 0-20% at most (I think he actually has a -20% defense to lightning, which can trivialize the fight for Faith builds). I do wish he had more HP or better defenses but hey, I guess that's what NG+ is for in the end.
Morgott is the Twin Brother of Mogh, and hinted to both have been the first Sons of Queen Marika and Godfrey the first Elden Lord. But they were born Omen. Omen are troll like creatures, with horns and other apredanges like fangs, tails &/or wings, on their bodies. Omen can be born at random and on any couple at any time; componer, beggars, nobles, and even Queen Marika. Omens born from commoners have their horns CUT at birth, and many dont survive it. Those who do are either used as beast of war, or exiled. Omens born from Nobles (Goddess, in the case of Morgott and Mogh) are allowed to keep their horns, but are thrown to the Shurnning Sewers of Leyndall. For the rest of their lives Both Morgott and Mogh were sent to the Sewers from birth, and chained to a sell. When the Shattering happened, only Morgott the unwanted Omen Child, of all the Demigods childs of Marika stood loyal to the Erdtree. Even when the Erdtree never accepted him. In his description reads: *Remembrance of Morgott, the Omen King, hewn into the Erdtree* *The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader* *Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes* *Though born one of the graceless Omen, Morgott took it upon himself to become the Erdtree's protector* *He loved not in return, for he was never loved, but nevertheless, love it he did.*
I really like Morghott. His story is a sad one and yet he chose loyalty despite his circumstances giving him every reason to hate the Erdtree and the Golden Order like it did with Mohg. I bet Godfrey was proud in those last moments.
Teacher (Marika the eternal) leave the classroom, ( the elden ring is shattered, Kids go wild (demigods at war) That one kid loyal to the teacher "WILLFUL TRAITORS....ALL
Morgott was born cursed and though he is a demigod, he was throw into the sewer He was never loved by anyone (except Godfrey, but he also got kicked out) yet when thing fell apart, he still protect and stood for those who forsake him
It sucks because the Omen were never cursed to begin with. What everyone says is a curse is actually a blessing of the primordial Crucible. An age before the greaterwill where life was blended together in unity.
5:20 quite the contrary, He was born an omen abd because of that, despised by everybody. Omens are like jews in the holocaust. But even so, Morgot always stayed by the people's side, doing the dirty work in the shadows with the night cabalry under his command. In time, his loyalty became known enough that the golden order accepted him in the end, becoming the king of the capital. Morgot is not only the king of the capital, but loved now by the capitals residents and ultimately made Godfrey, his father, very proud. This is contrary to morgots brother Mogh. Mogh received his accursed blood as a blessing and desided to rise a dynasty instead. His blood prowess was acknowledge by the blood mother, another outer god, like the elden god.
I've always felt so sad for him after reading his remembrance and discovering the fate of the misbegotten and omen. It's so often the shunned child who yearns unconditionally for love, that proves to be the most loyal.
Morgott was actually born with the omen curse. And since he comes from royalty, instead of cutting off his horns, they threw him in the sewers to be kept there by his shackled for eternity
Dosen't make a lot of sense though, since they're from his "cursed" blood which he intentionally suppresses until the stress of the battle gets to him (aka Phase 2)
My theory is that the 'burned part of the Erdtree' you refer too is probably a remnant of the original Crucible that existed before the Erdtree was grafted onto its stump. 3:40 You caused him to defile the thrones by 'puking' all over. 4:59 No, Renna is Ranni. 🤣
morgott's one of those bosses that many steam roll because they can overlevel the fight and bruteforce with damage, but if you try to fight him a bit earlier his times a million combo strings are a nightmare to deal with esp if you have a slower weapon lol.
Did you have someone drop you a 2nd wing of astel? Just curious how you have 2 when you are seeing bosses for the first time. I used 2 wings on my ng+2 play through and I loved them
Omens are considered curseborn to the Golden Order, they possess greater strength, but unusual growths to the order such as wildly growing horns and their skin is even a tad different. Omens born commoners must have their horns cut off, but only a few survive through such a fate for long and are physically and mentally troubled from it. In which case omen with their horns still are born nobles. This should shed a light to what the real lore and philosophy of the Dung Eater truly is when you see his armor is the Omen set and is based on them, but the headpiece specifically is based on the heart of an Omen. Omens also have their own sort of aura in their attacks. Omens also are not allowed on the surface unless they are explicitly being used as fodder. Morgott and Mohg are both Omen demigods born under Marika and Godfrey. Morgott rejected his cursed blood, and so he would for a long time hide his blade, empowered by it. Mohg was more the opposite, embracing his cursed blood from the beginning, and even furthering it to his new goddess, the Formless Mother. Being a more underground entity, Mohg would have little to nobody who knows of his real identity, and so even the All-Knowing brute wouldn't have much information other than him being known as the Lord of Blood, in direct defiance to the intended ideals and possessions of the common Tarnished. And so his intrigued agents, the white masked war surgeons would seek out applicable candidates who will find more interest in this new path of hope for those with less attraction to grace and kill their own maiden for the contract. I think the most surprising of the story-telling and experiences is that we don't see Diallos walking this path by chance, or at least we're not told of any such story. Though it's curious where the story of House Hoslow are told in blood, originated besides his brother's success and the whip is very strong and bleedy. I always wondered where they personally came in from. Their attires not resembling too similar with any known knights of any lands and instead bearing more resemblance to Alberich's clothes, so then I've wondered if perhaps they could be related to the Executioners of the Golden Order, like Marias.
Its so sad when players enters the boss area and they are above the level to much and still struggle and when they kill it was so ez thats the most sad thing in this game
