Highly recommend the book "Audio Branding" by Coleen Fahey and Laurence Minsky (also known as Sonic Branding) if anyone is interested in learning more about how corporations use sound to evoke feelings and build brand recognition!! Fun fact to get you started: Netflix wanted a sound that made people feel like a show was starting. (many streaming services followed suit) And ofc, props to the vocalists for capturing the instrumentals via the human voice! Most audio branding these days is created with digital instruments. Only the best brands can change the "voices" and still be recognizable (e.g. this entire video. An outside example would be McDonalds' "ba-duh-ba-ba-bah" in collaboration with Illumination's Minions)
Enlightening find! I don’t have the money for it right now but I’ll be sure to grab it. By the way, the book’s actually titled “Audio Branding” (though I think I like “Sonic Branding” better).
@@Goeulpil Yes, that's exactly what it is. They don't say that anymore because they don't want their iconic sound to be associated with Kevin Spacey. But the "tap tap" of Frank Underwood's ring on the President's desk is exactly what that sound is.
This is helping me to realize just how many of them reduce merely to hums. You guys are basically perfect, though I'd like if the companies themselves varied a bit more in the sound of their intros
This acapella group continues to amaze me with every new video they post, I haven't heard that many streaming apps jingles, but for the ones that I have heard, they sound extremely accurate!!!
Although i'm not a netflix fan, i aknowledge that it needs serious work to perform all those sound effects. Congratulations, you are the greatest group of your speciality.
The fuck that is going on with netflix fan and the sounds, is that Maytree does sounds from companies that have contract with netflix. So if you dont watch netflix, you dont know the netflix companies's trademark sounds. Thats the fuck that is going on. Simple logic.
Friend: You should listen to those people that recreate the streaming services sound effects... Me: Why would I ever be interested in that? Me: That was the most impressive thing I have seen! How did I not know about MayTree before???!!!
Their amazing skills made me realize the themes have hidden symbolism like the Peacock sounding like a feathered bird flying away and the Disney being a chord found in many Disney princess songs!
Bro?, Disney and tv+ is need less effort than the other especially Apple one buruh i subcribe mosly of it only peacock and tv+ i dont, but my opiniom is peacock still sound promising and IM not gonna complain it sound that way feel natural and great, and the other mosly perfect i said well done but still sound really mouth but that the poin of this video
Как только увидел Netflix, сразу захотелось посмотреть снова "Игра в Кальмара", это такая ностальгия, лето наступило и теперь пора купаться, MayTree а вам самых приятных выходных !!! Кто куда, а я смотреть сериал
