All you need to do to zero the laser is to display it on a wall at or around 30 feet (most useful range) and adjust it till it sits properly just above your front sight post ensuring that post is properly framed in your rear sight. It’s that easy to use that same wall to verify your laser zero at any time. Ranging the laser for accuracy fully depends on your proper grip on each shot, remember a laser is NOT A SIGHT, but your barrel location on your target as it will vary somewhat with the range. Have the same TLR-8 mounted on my G23/5, works well and the laser will hold zero.
True. But you have to leave the gun out to charge it if you don’t take the light off. And with a 2 year old running around, that’s not an option for me. A lot of thought went into my choice. Thank you! Much appreciated, You definitely understand!
@@gunsque9982 ahhhhh! Got it..... safety first all the time. Olight (or another manufacturer) should consider making a bedside safe that charges while locked up. I kinda know the fulfillment manager.... I’ll suggest it and see what she says.
Want to ask u a question, i got mine today. I bought a brand new sealed one from ebay for about $50 less than other places , i had a very hard time adjusting the elevation( top set screw) the windage , u coukd see the allen key hole. But on the top i couldnt, i put the allen key in , nothing. I looked inside with a flashlight and it looked stripped. I manages to put thr key in down and at an angle and adjusted it. Was curious if yours was similar. Like i said yesterday... U get what u pay for ... I shoukd have just went to a store
To be honest, I haven’t even attempted to Zero the laser yet. I’m not completely sold on them. But I did want to give it a try. I think I’ll zero it once I decide if I’m going to keep it on the gun. I had purchased a holster for it, but found out the holster was for a TLR-7 and the TLR-8 doesn’t fit. It’s actually more difficult to find them for the TLR-8…im still looking…
Joining the 2A community soon and from PG County. Likewise, I was with the TRL-8A and it has the trigger guard brackets. Are you considering a red dot???? The Holoson SCS fits the MOS without getting suppressor sights!!!
I definitely am! I actually already installed suppressor height sights. I learned about the SCS after I changed them. I’m 99% sure that I’m gonna go with the 507c.
@@gunsque9982 I am interest in both the 45 & 43x MOS and will be obtaining them in the next month. I also would like to build a AR but have to know our state laws in MD before. But the SCS works with normal sights
@@kputmanjr 43X MOS is nearly impossible to find in my area, which is why I went with the non MOS model. Im actually looking at a Hellcat Pro, it’s easier to find and is optic ready as well. If I get one, I’ll probably definitely go with the SCS. As for the laws in MD, as of June 1, it became illegal to ship lowers into MD. But you can buy serialized lowers from a gun shop. If you want to build one from scratch, you’ll have to have the lower shipped to an address outside of MD like PA or VA if you have friends or family there. Same thing goes for mags higher than 10 round capacity. I would suggest buying a complete AR first so you have one that works in case you run into issues with your build. There are a few companies that make reliable budget ARs like PSA & Del-Ton. I have a review on my channel of the Del-Ton. I’m actually in the process of building one too. It will be my first complete build.
@@gunsque9982 I am in southern PG and found a few 43X MOS out chantily and in PA. One shop in MD has it but they want $699 for it. Will for sure to take that lead and buy then build.
@@kputmanjr check out Glockstore.com…They had them for MSRP last time I looked, but they were sold out when I bought my 43X….and then see how much your local FFL charges for transfer. Mine only charges $50. $699 is too much, you can find them for cheaper.
