Thanks for sharing! Actually you could even access the kiloview web interface through pep link VPN. Even working with srt in VPN if you have one in your hub! I'm curious about how do you set connections priority in peplink. When using venue wan I tend to put 4gs in second priority because of the latency difference!
Hi Simon @@StreamoutAU, I had some free time to try to figure it out with Meanwell Powersupply PSC serie, but I have some troubles to safely connect it. If you want and if you have the time, can you take a couple of photos of the inside content of your boxes? I have a single Balance 20x and I would like to use with a powersupply or battery when I'm outside. Thanks anyway.
looks great. one question. how are you handling the audio return feed ? is it coming in on one of the io cards ? am looking to build myself something similar and the audio return is something i'm struggling to find a solution for
Hi Jack. Yes it is coming from the 3.5mm audio jack on the Decoder board. I’ve installed a pair of balancing transformers in the rack so that the output is isolated as well as balanced.
@@StreamoutAU ah that makes sense , was just unsure if there was a separate encoder/decoder handling the audio. and i take it you'd have the opposite for audio in to take in a feed from a venue on the encoder side if they have a local mixer which their microphones were being plugged into ( if you were not on a vmix call) out of curiosity . did you look at running a simple dante line instead of running the balancing transformers?
How easy do you find making SRT calls through cellular networks? Since you cannot do port forwarding, how do you manage it? Are you using an SRT gateway?
Hi Ignacio. Because my control room has a static IP address, it is simply a case of configuring the Kiloview boxes to call my control room. In my control room, I have some ports forwarding to the Vmix machine and it is in listener mode.
