I'm from Puerto Rico and this really makes me happy knowing that this woman did what ever she could to get this dog. 😭 It's a very difficult situation that we have here in Puerto Rico. You can find all kinds of stray animals in every corner and there are very few animal shelters. Non of the shelters are supported by the government because there is no money for these kinds of projects. It makes me sad because I wish I could help them all out. 😢

Pit bulls are the best. I have two of them. A little female that was abandoned in a house and a large male that was used as a bait dog. They are both the sweetest dogs. I cannot imagine my life without them. They both bring me immense amounts of joy and laughter!

This story made my eyes well up with tears, especially when she said that someone in PR had tried to end his life with a machete. That makes me both mad that someone could be so barbaric, and sad for that poor baby who has such a beautiful disposition and sweet soul. I'm so glad that this family rescued him, and gave him a chance at a happy life that he deserves. God bless them all.

Rescue dogs are the best dogs ever, specially Pit Bulls. And Harlem reminded me so much of my Pit Bull called Cinnamon. She was the daughter I will never have. Over two years since she passed away, still can't get over her. :(

I'm just wondering how precious Carlos is doing. He's so adorable. The other day I saw a stray pitbull in the street but I didn't have the courage to pick him up. I felt so guilty afterwards. I live in an a small apartment and the owner doesn't accept dogs at all. But I just can't wait to buy my home and actually have 3 it 5 dogs and also cat. I love them all

Me too! She's so kind and gentle but big and dark, so people avoid her. Except in my neighboorhood, everebody knows her and loves her! Especialy the children.

She is an amazing mom. First to teach her children dont live with prejudges, and second to love the soul of living creatures. How many people doesnt wanted a sick/"ugly" pet? I rescued/adopted a far from perfect pittie, he’s got deformed legs and the worst skin/breath, but I couldn’t love him more! He went from hell on earth to a warm couch, food, love... I love the “imperfect” ones. They ARE perfect :)

Sorry for your loss. I know the heartache of losing a fur baby. I lost my 11yo Labrador to cancer nearly one year ago. Unfortunately, the hurt never goes away but it does hurt less as time goes by.

@Games Master-sorry for your loss. This July 19th will be exactly one year of my dog's passing. I miss her terribly. I spent nearly $5K on cancer chemotherapy but unfortunately, the cancer was too aggressive and she passed away 3 months after her diagnosis. Fortunately, my Pet Insurance paid for most of the cost of treatments.

Sporty.Slimez I took care of my uncles and I can tell you they are very lovable and kind. But be careful in the first year cause their teeth are sharp as hell!! When we would fall asleep together I would wake up to him chewing on my arm!!
