With nearly 19 million street dogs in Mexico, we have daily encounters with others dogs.
Sometimes the dogs are aggressive but a lot of times they’re not and we end up with a friendly interaction, or a love affair that strings out over a few days.
This can be really nice because Wombat has a friend to play with, and we have less stressful dog encounters, but it’s also sad because I know I carry enough to support a second dog, or rescue every dog that crosses my path.
I am as much a lover of dogs as most dog lovers - so this is one aspect of my hike that i really struggle with.
