Back in the day as a kid nobody risked playing as Dhalsim in the arcades, but he's a beast in the right hands. Most people found out later playing at home for free experimenting.
BTW in case anybody was wondering, a double KO does not count as a loss, so you can still get the special endings even if you had a double KO along the way
That underneath slide kick is an excellent response to Ryu's hadoken - I knew it when I was a school boy 30+ years ago but today I saw it done beautifully in the 1st round!
It´s cool watch people playing with another fighters besides Ryu and Ken. At the arcade were I used to play, there´s no such players who played with then. It was a very hard thing to see, indeed. The people only played with Ken or Ryu,sometimes Guile...GG!
No sabían ocuparlo.
When I finally finished it with Dhalsim, I had my 3 hardest times against Chun Li, Vega, and Sagat. Chun Li and Vega are his worst nightmares. (Strength, agility, and speed.) And Sagat starts throwing out his 'tigers' insanely fast. The final solution against Sagat was anything but obvious. It was to stay close, duck the high tigers, and wait for him to throw a low tiger, and then VERY QUICKLY feet first corkscrew him. STRANGELY ENOUGH though, Bison wasn't as hard to beat as I thought he would be.
I made a lot of magic and strong kicking in this video, but against Sagat really getting close helps a lot because it loosens a lot of spells and uses the anti-air attack a lot.
@@Jan61083 Yea. I'd say Dhalsim's worst nightmares are Chun Li, Vega, and Sagat. (At least that's who the hardest three were for me to beat with him.) Giving Dhalsim = positive time, he can be the worst nightmare of Blanka, Honda, and Zangief. And I was REALLY surprised at how the feet first corkscrew not only kept confusing Bison, but kept hitting him, and even stopping the psycho crusher! Personally, I'm the most at home with VEGA. (Overall, I'd say Vega is the best except for Ken, Ryu, and Sagat.)
I was unstoppable with Dhalsim and Blanka. Back in my early 20s, the 1990s, we used to have tournaments and get drunk playing SF2. This version. Everyone wanted to be the 3 martial arts characters. The girl and the 2 guys. I always did my own thing. So I mastered these 2, and became unbeatable. Using their attributes at the right moments was impossible to defeat. Whoever was using Vlanka in this video didn't use his electricity once. That was his best defense. Touch him, and get electrocuted.
How to finished perfect using Dhalsim in the hardest level? Start with yoga fire using the MP, opponent when on guard will move back a bit. Release another yoga fire (MP), your opponent will jump towards you, this time use LK or MK. Release another yoga fire (MP), your opponent will jump towards you again. Then again do the LK or MK. Your opponent will keep on jumping towards you, they don't want to get burned. Lucky you if you were able to do it, but most of the time they won't let you. Either way, continue the pattern, yoga fire (MP) then LK or MK. This will continue up until you beat your opponent perfectly. It's just a matter of timing. I love doing this especially against Balrog.
Dhasim has so many odd properties that other fighter don't have. I never used him until i recently started to try to beat my arcade 1up machine with him with no losses. when i was fighting guille he was actually able to juggle me. i tried a jump attack first he hit me and while i was still in the air he then used a flash kick to hit me again before i hit the ground. i was shocked and didn;t think this was even possible in sfii.
who new back in the day what a beast dalsym was? he was considered trash as far as I knew lol I only ever used ryu, Ken and guile.. just goes to show all characters have their strengths really
Even as a kid playing this back in the early 90s, the line "I will meditate then destroy you" always made me laugh. Feels like most people would have trouble reconciling the first half of that sentence with the second.
I remember if you thought you have enough blood for at least 2 tiger uppercuts n then Sagat ends you with just 1 hard uppercut n leaves you gasping and shouting like... "Whaaaat!?"
I use to play this game back in the day when I was a kid. I was real good with E. Honda because of his 100 hand slap move. Dhalsim was the only character I couldn't get passed no matter which character I picked.
How the hell did Ken get off that shoyuken uppercut from missing his blue balls (😂), at 10:00? Incredible reflex! OMG, Ken catching his arm at 10:43 is INSANE!!😮
Still have this game somewhere in My room Holy cow. I remember like it was yesterday. The main ones i always seem to struggle was Hands down. Ryu because even at a 100 Health bar one Hit From that Hadouken and BAM. Your health is almost low. Guille sometimes because one hit from that Sonic Boom and it changes everything. Same with Sagat. Once he hits that TIGER! move you're in deep Trouble. Whether it was with Zangrief. Chun li Blanka or Dhalsim
I didn't see this move represented much in this game play, but Dhalslims' close headbutt hits twice fast up close and is a good combo finisher or quick dizzy
I'm curious... does anyone know where the first two bonus stages are set in? The last one (with the flaming oil drums) is clearly set in Russia (Zangief's stage), but I don't recognize the settings of the first two...???
Nah dawg... we call Dhalsims headbutt move "Hard Head"... because when he nails it close enough... take the old saying : A hard head will make a soft ass real quick
@@Jan61083 I agree it takes a lot of skill using this Dhalsim.me my bros used to go to war playing this game it was fun.I remember using Dhalaim we would take turns I won with him about 15 times. Then one of my bros picked guile or men and won. They hated playing against this master Dhalsim.lots of experience to play with and practice. Thx for showing..
@@TitansTrust 15 times? Amazing. In your case you have reached the competitive level that Dhalsim is very annoying to defeat. I saw videos of Super Street Fighter 2X that had a very good Dhalsim player but lost the championship.
