I always wished this song lasted longer in the movie. Such an awesome song that bring you into the mood of the jungles of Thailand where Shadowloo was stationed at
Wow, cheers. I remember as a youngster this was a tune I really liked in the movie but didnt know where to look for it. some 20 years later Im a happy man in work.
just imagine a wheat field worked by thin men, carts, and donkeys. old women making new pots from clay then... SWWWOOOSH!! A Sukoi SU-30S flies over head with its landing gear down on a decent to the airbase that's next to the old farm. after it lands the ground crew with a mix of old trucks and mules carrying parts and fuel surround the advanced plane conducting maintenance as the pilot gets out he watches some dirty kids playing soccer and chasing chickens with sticks before he goes inside for a debrief. It's the Old World colluding with the New..... that's what this soundtrack is.
The English version's soundtrack shits all over the Japanese imo, this right here should serve as indisputable proof! Thank you sincerely for the upload!
Christian Harris How is my opinion "biased"? Because I'm an English speaker? Or because I genuinely believe after watching/listening to the original Japanese and American versions that the American/English does a better job of conveying emotion and suspense and fits the scenes better? I feel the same way about DBZ, and most people agree the Japanese soundtrack in that is garbage compared to the Funi dub with Falconer. It's all a matter of bias, it's called "taste".
Sin526 this comment. Right here. This is exactly my thoughts. And your damn right on the Dragonball Z soundtrack too. American Soundtrack for Street Fighter 2 nails it right on the head. When I heard the japanese soundtrack I was aghast at how awful it was. It's like putting on a loving romantic song during a fight scene in Commando, just doesn't go. Awful. This soundtrack brings the entire movie to life.
Glad you agree man! I seriously think the only people who seriously argue with me on these points are the hardcore "weeaboos" who automatically claim that the Japanese version of anything is ALWAYS better, even when it's objectively not!
if you use the debug cheat in sonic 3 on the first level and right at the beginning when knuckles runs away you try keep up and follow him in debug and you will carry on when the level is suppose to end and you will come across some mountains that resemble M bisons base then this music will come to mind. yours sincerely an 8 yr old in 1994.
Lots of Intermix to be found on RU-vid... Also check out Front Line Assembly. This particular song is taken from Intermix's Future Primitives album. The whole album is amazing! :)
Thanks a lot for the music and the dl links! Been looking for this since '95!! Had found Alice in Chains, Korn, Silverchair and Smokin' Suckaz wit' Logic.. but no idea what the rest was.
The entire OST and the movie were great in American. Good to see in Japanese, but sounds don't compare. It makes me glad to see so many street junkies. Lol. Who's ready for USF4?
If you can find it, look for the group/artist named Intermix. The song is called Mantra and should be the opening song on the album. They have at least one or two other albums that I love too. I used to have this one on cassette tape back in the 1990s. It was a bad ass jam back then as it remains even in 2021!!!
whats the music for the scene when the shadow law HQ mountain opens up but for the Japanese version because the music totally different from the English dubbed version
