Always felt that the melody was perfect, but the instruments needed to show a bit more that despite all the crap he's going through, at heart, Ken is still Ken, and his flame must continue burning on even when covered by dirt and rocks. This does exactly what I wanted, holy shit.
This is one of the best SF themes ever wow! All the Cap Jams arrangements are incredible and fit the characters amazingly well. This absolutely fits Kens whole current story and personality in SF6 perfectly. Screw all the people saying this games songs are bad because it has a bunch of great songs and this is definitely one of them!
I mean...it's the same song. The composition of the original is strong, and that's why this version also sounds good. The foundation was already solid.
I feel the same. A lot of ppl prefer these remixes because they're more "punchy" and recognizable, but personally I appreciate a more mellow and nuanced OST in fighting games, since we do end up hearing the same OST a lot while grinding and getting better, got a bit repetitive for me as a Rashid main in SF5 and even in the days of SF2. Still no argument that this mix slaps
I respect your opinion, & depending on the time of day I'd even agree with it. ... ... ... Not right now, though. Holy shit this version scratches an itch I didn't know I had.
finally they've done justice to this track, the composition is alright but the original one as well as the OST itself really failed to capture the action feel. EDIT: more accurately, ken's theme is (imo) currently the only one who barely succeeded to capture the action feel in SF6. EDIT 2: Apparently I forgot Mr. Top Player's existence.
