My only problems with akuma is that his normals are really really stubby, they didn't give akuma the other versions of his adamant fist and his low health is a huge problem in this game compared to the others. This game punishes his low health tremendously and you gotta play damn near perfectly or else it's ggs.

I see so many comments on his “stubby” buttons it’s insane, it’s like you only play the game vicariously through others, who repeat the same nonsense they’ve heard somewhere else. It’s seems this argument is coming from SFV where he really did have stubby normals. SF6 though? The st.HK which whiff punishes from HALF SCREEN away and STILL allows for a combo after? His st. HP which has either the exact same range as other shotos st. HP or slightly more, while being 1 frame faster on start-up, and cancellable?! The fwd HP which is hit conformable and hits OUTSIDE of most characters longest buttons?! His cr. MK is arguable THE only button you can call stubby, it has the exact same range as Kens cr. MK while being a frame slower, but considering his other myriad of options having an average cr. MK on a character like that means his got just another GREAT option to chose from! Akuma in SF6 has GOD normals you fool!
