Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting is a competitive fighting game released by Capcom for arcades in 1992. It is the third arcade version of Street Fighter II, part of the Street Fighter franchise, following Street Fighter II: Champion Edition, and was initially released as an enhancement kit for that game. Released less than a year after the previous installment, Turbo introduced a faster playing speed and new special moves for certain characters, as well as further refinement to the character balance.

...but it was clear after the second rushing punch in the first round that CPU Balrog was countering his Rushing Punches with standing roundhouse. Just use max distance standing fierce and you get free stuns and combos. In fact, that usually works on most of the fighters from Champion Edition to Super Turbo. Now go run me my 100k for two perfects. :)

0:53 I never knew Balrog had any sort of attack vocalization in the CPS1 Street Fighter games. Hell even on the Continue screen, the announcer says "Fight!" for him when you confirm. Even more puzzling is THAT particular generic male grunt hasn't been used as any other character's continue confirmation voice. Ryu - "Hadoken!" Ken - generic male grunt Chunli - "Yatta!" Guile - "Sonic Boom!" Zangief - generic male laugh Dhalsim - elephant noise Blanka - his signature roar E. Honda - "Dosukoi!" Balrog - announcer says "Fight!" Vega - his signature screech Sagat - "Tiger!" M. Bison - aeroplane noise/Psycho Crusher sound effect

His vocalizations appear to be him saying random numbers that are the exact same as the countdown voice in the continue screen. I heard the numbers: 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 a few times and he also says “Final” which the voiceover says for “Final round” announcement. These vocalizations seem like RNG as they don’t seem correspond to anything happening on the screen. Maybe lazy work by the programmers? Not sure honestly what to make of it.

Christ, the 3 of you know diddly about this situation.... The voice is Balrogs but IS also the same voice as the announcer. He isnt saying random numbers. The longer you hold down the buttons for the turn around punch, the higher the number he says when he does it, up to "Final" & the harder he hits.

Dhalsim got the worst beating. Its not only with Balrog, but with other characters such as Ken, Ryu, Blanka and Guile, I have seen players decimating Dhalsim with perfect scores and in less than 15 secs. As for Bison, his one kick or a punch takes away a lot of power and that's how it becomes difficult to beat him.

Hold down all 3 punches or kicks, then release. The longer you hold it, the harder it hits..

You'll notice in the first few fights that he's holding down the kick buttons while attacking with the punch buttons. Sure did feel like CPU Balrog fought that way in World Warrior.

Balrog has one of the most difficult challenges in hard mode as the CPU says "F*** you I hit first" with most of his punches and specials not connect confirming due to programming. Somehow it's always harder on a black man ..... (Dhalsim has it the worst BTW)

Only if Dhalsim doesn't let him in, which he is designed to do as a "zoner" character. Dhalsim was a top tier character throughout the SF2 series. Balrog just happens to be top tier as well.

@@metrowater2819 you dont hold the punch button, you hold back for atleast 2 seconds then forward and punch. The longer you hold back is the higher punch you get. To do the uppercut you hold down for atleast 2 seconds then up and punch

Gloves protect your hands and opponents faces. If not, the boxer might break his/her hands/fingers and quite possibly kill their opponent.
