Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike - Q Playthrough 

I love the fact that Q is selectable from the Character select screen, but unlike even Akuma, you can't fight him normally unless certain conditions are met. That adds even more mystery to his character, because it implies that you are not playing the "real" Q, because he's hiding from every fighter, your just the one in his place.

Is it a coincidence that every mutated character like Necro. Twelve and Gill are the one stepped on by Q?

Q is by far the creepiest character in Street Fighter in my opinion. Where did he come from? Who is he?! Why doesn't he talk?! Why is he wearing a mask?! What's up with his breathing?! I Need to know!

One reason I like Q is because in fighting games like this I love the idea of a character just relying on brute strength and no technique whatsoever, like Miguel from Tekken.

God the animation in this game is so Fucking beautiful.

Q reminds me of Michael Myers in many ways. He doesn't speak, breathes heavily, very deadly, comes from out of nowhere when he wants, stares a lot, has super strength, doesn't run but walk, and wears a mask except it's made of metal.

I noticed there are some characters Q seems to like crushing the heads of in this playthrough. And he does so much damage to Gill.

No question; this guy need to appear in SFV, for clear his history (I think to SFV should be afther this game in storyline) and for play with im, its awesome!

Personality Q is generally the quiet type, as he only speaks (or rather, grunts) when being hit, and he also mumbles an unintelligible and nonsensical line of dialogue after defeating his opponent. His win quotes consist of ellipses and short, vague phrases (e.g. "I... am abomination."); the latter are shown in parenthesis, perhaps indicating his thoughts or translating mumbling. Q's mannerisms tend to straddle the line between man and machine. His movements are simple and robotic, and verge on stilted and awkward at times; he even "shuts down" when he is beaten by chip damage. Despite many of his simple, robotic movements, some of his other mannerisms and features could be considered human; for example, after parrying a move, he will brush off his trench coat. Much of his moveset seems to support this theory. It is unknown how Q handles human contact; in his intro animations, people are often seen running in fear from him, followed by him simply walking onto the stage, or else performing a dashing punch. However, one artwork depicts him apparently being interviewed by a woman, while a man removes his coat, with no apparent discomfort on Q's part. Q also shows similarly contradictory acts of self-restraint and cruelty; when he defeats his opponent, he will either simply look over them, shed a tear and walk away, or else insults them as he starts crushing their face underneath his shoe. The requirements to fight Q as a CPU opponent may indicate that Q maybe after the world's most dangerous or powerful fighters, also similar to Akuma and G, and could possibly be a powerful fighter himself, despite being held back (Playability-wise). This is noted as some of his normal attacks act as though he has no intention of harming his opponent. Overall however his motives are unknown and it is unclear what his alignment is.

i have never played a single street fighter game, and i still think q is the coolest character and if he was in sf5 i would seriously consider getting into it

I can't stand unsolved mysteries, and Q is one of the biggest memories of this game.

Hopefully we will get to see him again in Street Fighter 5...who knows

Any ideas who(or what) is Q? I think it's some kind of cyborg, created by Shadaloo. Maybe that was prototype of super-soldier or something and after Shadaloo was destroyed, he start live by his own. Probably because of some error in mind, Q starts destroys everything that he considers as menace. Still i can't explain how does he travel between different places in the world so quickly...

I will never be able to listen to Makoto's stage theme without thinking of Core-A Gaming.

What's wrong with Q? He seems depressed. His intros show people running away from him (an alt where he performs and misses a punch) and his outros have him look down at his opponent before walking away or trying to crush them with his shoe.

Q is a shitty character. Took me 90000000 attempts to get past Akuma. Sadly, got murdered by Gill over and over

I HATE Q with all my strengths. A slow character, with terrible combos. He takes forever to hit ONE F***ing PUNCH and also I have to fight against a combo-machine Akuma, who blocks every single thing I try. Worst character ever

And to think this guy is now exposing government conspiracies... wish he'd go back to not talking.
