Neal Macdonough genuinely deserves better as an actor than to be in terrible movies and TV shows, but I also feel like he might not mind it, he always seems to be having fun.

Sitting through this movie made me appreciate the 1994 movie more.

King of Fighters, Dragonball Evolution, Tekken, Chun Li. 2009 was rough on films based on fighting franchises

My favorite part of the movie was when MattGief & E-Maffew were commentating through out the entire movie. Now that's entertainment

I still remember when this movie came out, my brother and I were working at a movie theater. My brother was working usher on one particular day when two dudes came out of a theater showing this and one of them explained that his buddy had an accident. As it turns out, his buddy took a huge dump in the theater and my brother had to clean it up. My brother has gone on to simply say "Guess that was the dude's review."

It's a shame too, a Chun-Li focused Street Fighter movie could be interesting (Of all characters, I think she might be the easiest to make a film narrative around) but this was botched so horribly.

Max once said Chun-Li never used a gun and this movie has her shoot a guy point blank in the chest.

You know things are backwards when a Street Fighter movie has more blood (especially in the unrated cut) than any of the Mortal Kombat movies at the time

It's been 84 years since the last FGT, And it's still awesome as it's was.

I am surprised that they didn't talk about Maya because she is supposed to be C. Viper in the movie.

The glass bathroom doors reminds me of this Thai restaurant in NYC I used to go to. The bathroom was built with two-way mirrors so that you could be sitting on the toilet, look straight ahead, and watch the customers at their tables enjoying their meals. They would just see their reflection of course, but it was still pretty unnerving.

I remember buying this on dvd when it came out and had two friends come over to watch it. As soon as the credits rolled I turned and apologised to them for making them sit through that.

I love the fact that the game had a more believable backstory for Chun-Li than the movie. Just make her an Interpol agent, like in the game. Then you don't have to explain so much. Why is she a piano player? How does that factor into anything?

Insane to me that they not only thought they'd get a second after how bad this once, but after they killed 3 of main 4 bad guys (and most well known)

It's absolutely wild that the Vega of the Van Damme film is not only closer to the source material, but his tag team fight with Sagat against Ken and Ryu is arguably one of the better fights in that movie. Obviously animated movie Vega is best Vega, but even Van Damme Vega is better than the tripe we got here lol.

I recall them saying they be doing something more gritty and serious, and sure chun-li would be perfect for that given her backstory is one of the less outlandish ones in the street fighter series. A girl who saw her dad murdered, now trained and focused on being a cop for one single purpose. To get her father's killer. But if your going for a gritty concept don't do either of the following: Add 'legend'; just make it her name or have the title of the organisation she's hunting down. When you throw 'Legend' people will have the expectation it be monumental. Rip off from a film that took a similir approach to it's main character ie: Batman Begins. A down to earth chun li backstory adaption I think could have worked, but instead we get lazy cop cliches (Nash) Making Bison an ambtious real estate boss, psionic leaser of a terroist group is silly...but let's have him peel away his wife's pregeant belly so he can pluck out his baby and transfer last of his...conscious? (I'm just glad street fighter 1994 just embraced the absurdity and that actors like Julia did their own thing, if anything his take on Bison was better. I like Bison in the games and the animated movie etc but they approach him that his plan once achieved will work perfectly. In comparison Julia's Bison had a delusion that everyone could see would not work out. Yet he was still determined to achieve it)

It's a shame Michael Clarke Duncan never got to play Balrog again. He was a treat. Also, wasting Neil McDonough is a crime. EDIT: Neither Matt nor Maffew likely watch the Arrowverse shows, but he was the Big Bad of Season 4 of Arrow, Damien Dahrk. He then moved over to Legends of Tomorrow, where he was the co-Big Bad of Seasons 2 and 3, then became a good guy three different times, one of those times being Flash.

I remember about 15 years ago, reading that the screenwriters for this dump of a film were supposed to be involved with making a film version of Shadow Of The Colossus. Obviously, it never came to fruition, but you can only wonder how much of a Trainwreck it would've end up becoming.

I took a date to this movie. After the date, we went to go see hey my old home... and it had burned down within the previous year. I feel like that's symbolic somehow.

Oh yes!! The fireball!! It's just a rotating PNG!! When me and my brother watched this for the first time, we immediately noticed the kikoken.png and laughed our ahhes out! It's still hilarious to this day.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but if it's anything like DragonBall Evolution, then it'll probably be second to my favorite movie, which is the greatest film of all time, DragonBall Evolution.

Why would you put yourself through this torture of a bad Street Fighter movie. It makes the Jean-Claude Van Damme one look like a masterpiece. For future movie review I recommend watching Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist.

10:06 I can see the Papyrus comparison, but it actually reminds me of the font they used in Street Fighter EX3. A silver gradient, slightly italicized...it just looked familiar to me. All that aside, this was an excellent experience. Maffew has come a long way over the years with his own work as well as collaborations, and you both play off of each other quite well. Who knows when the next Matt & Maffew joint venture will be unleashed...and who knows what will be covered?

I saw this movie while M Bison was a major villain the Arrow TV show. That made it somehow even weirder than it is in this video.

This was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen for all the wrong reasons. Chris Klein's facial expressions and acting were comedy gold.

I remember being initially excited for this movie before it came out since I was just really discovering my love for Fighting Games in high school, and Street Fighter’s been my favorite ever since. Caught it on like Starz or a channel like that sometime later, and I can’t think of the last time I laughed that hard at a movie unintentionally.

No matter how forgettable the rest of this movie was, that scene where "M. Bison" uses his henchwoman as a literal human punching bag will be forever burned in my mind.

The 94 Van Damme SF movie versus this is the perfect way to illustrate the difference between so-bad-its good and bad-bad. I've rewatched the 94 movie multiple times and always laughed hard with friends, it's a great movie to watch while hanging out, whereas Legend of Chun-Li came from an era where every property wanted to be super serious and bleak, trying to crib off the tone of the Dark Knight and Batman Begins whether it fit or not. Because of this thing flopping as hard as it has, there will probably never be another big budget adaptation of Street Fighter in live action again, and maybe that's a good thing

This and Tekken: Kazuyas Revenge are just puzzling. The first Tekken and SF film weren’t great but, they were passable and used enough of the source material. These sequels made you just wonder “why even bother?”

Romeo Must Die is a fun movie. I go back to it once in a while. One of my favorite Jet Li movies though I haven't seen a good chunk of his work. I'll catch up eventually. Chun Li deserves a good movie. I don't think Kristin Kreuk was a bad choice but off the top of my head Zhang Zhiyi would be way better. Ryu does practically everything in the games.

It was basically edgelord humor starring the best and brightest like Slash from Guns and Roses, Joey Buttafucco fresh off his trial, and various racist, sexist, and misogynist low-hanging fruit jokes. In other words: it was made completely obsolete by message board humor of the time. It says a LOT that neither Jet Li nor DMX were in this pile of crap.
