Great reminder, such a life changeer they improved the zonk since usf4 when you was holding 2 zonks and releasing one button and eventually zonk come out, in the other hand i should train on my neutral while holding the zonk and checking dashes, AA, whiff punishing, great video man thx again 👍🏿👍🏿
Hello Mura! your vids made me fall in love with Cody keep it up! I was just wondering how this would apply if I'm using a gamepad (PS4 controller) because I really want to start using zonk more but the controller is really holding back my other options if I want to zonk.
I think if you want to hold zonk, the best option would be the default layout, can use R1 and Square and let go of one of them and press it again when you wanna use it. Its awkward and does take some time to learn but over time you will get the hang of it.
The question is here if you hold 2 buttons for a level 2, then let go of one of them, then hold a 2nd again for a sec and let go of them both at the same time will the level 2 still come out?
Why would you hold those two butts when you could just hold heavy punch and still be able to enter air with v tricker one that gives you more pressure and you still be able to throw fireballs and your main pressure button will be medium punch you only need heavy punch for a cross-up combo or counter hit intermediate punch and then you can use heavy punch so you can just hold heavy punch and still be able to do joint knuckle and just put two punch buttons on one button if you on pad
Soooo when I’m playing on a ps4 controller. I hold my L1 button and it holds all three punches. If that’s true I’ve been handicapping myself for a long time on charge characters 🗿. I didn’t know I could charge with like other buttons. Well I did but didn’t. Now I have to change the style of my play. Thanks for the info, got any tips for me?
@@MCMuraFGC if you’re charging holding the r1 and square, how would you press triangle for medium punch if you needed to? Do you just roll your thumb over? I feel like this would be easier to do on a stick than a pad
I honestly didn’t understand that second part about combos. I really want to learn Cody too It sounds like youre saying at first you held down LP and HP, pressed and held cr MP, released HP(thats mainly the part that confuses me). You release HP and press it again then release LP & MP and you get EX Zonk? Did I get it right? The combo is Cr MP, st HP, EX Zonk right?
Let's say you are doing cr.MP, st.HP xx EX zonk. You will start by holding the LP and HP. You will then do cr.MP and as i am pressing that MP, i will not only tab it but hold it so for a split second, so i am holding LP, MP and HP at this point . Then i will release my HP and do st.HP , then release the LP and MP getting an ex zonk So it goes like this (Holding LP+ HP) > cr.MP > Holding all three punches > Letting go of HP and quickly pressing it again to get st.HP > letting go of LP and MP thus giving me EX zonk.
