Just some additions: Both hits of his axe kick (B + RH) can be cancelled. Target Combo (mp>fp) can also be v-trigger cancelled. Throw nerf was given to Ryu specifically on his forward throw that everyone did not get; Ryu has additional 8 frames recovery after his forward throw.
Biggest nerf, IMO was Ryu's V-Reversal. :( Now it pushes the opponent back further and takes longer to recover from so Ryu is no longer at advantage (can't pressure immediately on opponent's wake-up). Reversal just puts him back at neutral. A bad nerf because Ryu's a Zoning character and needed the reversal advantage against most of the rush-down like cast.
I have never imagined that "Fighting Games" will start to Nerf/Buff characters, i feel like playing "League of Legends" once again, this is really stupid they should stop from doing this or this game will move into the thing what most "League of Legends" players call "Meta", i have feeling that there is a day will come and "Ibuki" will get a heavy buff because no one is playing hear regardless of her strength.
Afif Afnan exactly I've been saying this ever sense this bullshit ass of a game came out. Ryu is the heart and soul of street fighter to me so why they dont give him better moves and upgrade his combos like they suppose to insted of making him slower and taking away some of his normal moves that may help him out in the game and the sad part is that i don't ever se no one playing with him in the tournament, not even for a backup! Its sad thats why i hate this fucking game with a passion............
anti air jab should nerf more, it is not balance how easy ryu can anti air and have the crazy speed of fireball at the same time. Ryu damage are also still much higher than other character
